A perfect cozy cabin with a delightful tin roof that sounds wonderful when it rains
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend visiting our son and family. Even though it rained most of the time we had a great adventure . We read, rested and enjoyed the swing on the porch. The cabin is so cute, cozy and very well stocked. In fact we would try to guess something that was not stocked in the cabin...never found it. Patty was so helpful and answered my e-mails immediately. We loved the rustic cabin and definitely will be back.
A great getaway - we had a blast!
The cabin is everything the listing states. It is a true cabin, not a house in the woods. It is rustic and somewhat remote. It’s located down a dirt road off another dirt road. It is quiet. The porch is relaxing with morning coffee. The wood stove is good quality and comes with some dried wood on the back porch. The bed is comfortable. My wife liked the sheets. Now, what they don’t tell you is that the kitchen has everything needed to cook just about anything. There is a large Brita in the fridge. The layout is a little quirky but it is all there. There are several frying pans, including a huge one for cooking Moby Dick! Cooking utensils are in a piece of pottery attached to the wall. There is ample reading material. When we got home I purchased two of the books we had seen there. There are also games, toys, DVDs, and stars on the ceiling. There are plenty of things to do and see within a 30 minute drive. And not to be overlooked is how good it was dealing with the owners. They were very accommodating and informative on the phone even though they were on vacation themselves.
Perfect Cabin Experience
The cabin was like out of a storybook. It was very well maintained. Clean and adorably decorated. Although smaller, it is cozy and set up so that you have enough room to spread out. You really get to appreciate what its like to be a cabin in the woods. The host provides a booklet with all the activities in the area. There are lots of fun things to do and we were busy everyday. It is an awesome experience.
AT&T service was spotty in the entire area. The internet is fine.
Very cute and cozy
We had a great time! Our kids ended up not coming so we had extra space and didn't even use the upstairs loft area. Would have been the perfect size for the four of us. My husband and I enjoyed looking at all of the antiques and the quiet woods.
My husband and I celebrated on anniversary on June 14 and rented this cabin for some much needed time alone. The cabin was very clean and everything that the advertisement stated. We look forward to staying in this cabin again.
