Perched high above downtown Ventura this tastefully remodeled home has been specifically designed to cater to the vacation traveler with discerning tastes. A private hillside location, surrounded by a young avocado orchard, sets the scene for 180 degrees of show-stopping views. The newly renovated property and newly furnished home provides absolutely everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Wake up each morning to inspiring views of the Pacific Ocean from the master bedroom retreat. The master bedroom retreat provides a separate sitting area with gas fireplace and a private balcony for enjoying the views. The master bathroom retreat is fit for a king and/or queen! Fully furnished with towels and a few personal necessities, the master bathroom retreat boasts a travertine and glass shower with overhead rain shower fixture, a separate Roman soaking tub, dual sinks, a walk in closet and an extra private balcony.

The bright and open kitchen allows for the enjoyment of friends and family and, of course, taking in more views. The kitchen features a centerpiece green granite island with bar seating and stainless steel appliances including a built-in 5 burner gas range, oven, Bosh dishwasher, and double-door refrigerator. The kitchen countertops are Cesar Stone with artistic green sea glass backsplash. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with utensils, cooking supplies, a Keurig coffee maker and other small and convenient appliances. The open downstairs floor plan allows the kitchen to open to the formal dining area and living room with an additional fireplace.

Another master bedroom suite with an attached bathroom provides a walk in shower and covered patio and is also located on the main floor of the property. The first floor of the home also features a family room with flat screen TV, video game console, half bathroom and full-size, stackable washer and dryer. Enjoy a movie on the 55” flat screen TV. There is also an abundant selection of family games and puzzles for all ages. Wireless internet access is provided.

The exterior of the home features approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of multi-leveled, redwood deck space. Built-in seating surrounds the deck area and a dedicated bench overlooking the lava rock fire pit is perfect for enjoying sunsets and a glass of wine. A natural gas BBQ is provided for your enjoyment – and you will never run out of propane!

The hillside section of the property provides a large gated driveway with additional parking, 2 car garage and a private 'Softtub' hot tub for your enjoyment.

Just minutes to downtown Ventura with boutique shopping, fine dining, casual dining, the movie theaters, concert venues, and theaters.

Within just a few miles are Ventura’s sandy beaches with world class surfing, the Ventura County Fairgrounds, the Ventura Harbor Village and a meandering coastal bike path that stretches from Ventura Harbor all the way to the beautiful Ojai Valley!

Please note that we are very strict and the lease forbids parties or large groups of any kind (birthday parties, weddings, receptions, graduation parties, family reunions, etc.) and loud disturbances between the hours of 10:00 pm and 8:00 am.

Most beautiful view of the Ventura coastline, couldn't ask for more perfect weather to use the outside wood deck, with hot tub and outdoor

fire pit. Home is lovely, awesome views, large and open windows, entertaining was easy. The home offered upgraded amenities in all bath

rooms and kitchen. Open and spacious floor plan was perfect for our large Thanksgiving day family get together. Thank you, would do it

again for sure.

A lovely home with a great view

We were two couples getting together for a few days. We ate most meals in and were very happy that the kitchen was well-equipped. The location was perfect for drives up to Ojai and Santa Barbara but the house is so terrific that we would have been well satisfied simply hanging out on the deck all day and night.

Fantastic house and view. Excellent location to downtown and 5 min to beach by car. Photos represent the place well. Checkin and out process easy and organized. I lived in Ventura for 10 years and will choose this place when I return to visit family.

Great property, bad property management

This home was gorgeous! Amazing view of downtown Ventura and the ocean, delightful hot tub, beautiful and modern design including awesome showers and open layout. The home I recommend, but the property management company T.R.E.E., not so much.

At first it seemed like they were on top of everything. They were supposed to email me the code for the box that holds the keys within 48 hours of our stay. Within half an hour of our arrival at the house, I was going through my emails for the access instructions and realized they had never sent the code. By this time, it was 7 pm and their office was closed. I emailed our contact with no response, called her office number and got a voicemail, even after indicating this was an urgent after-hours need by a renter. I did not hear back. She did not leave her cell number. I was alternating between figuring out if we'd need to get a hotel for the night for 8 people on a holiday weekend (NOT COOL) and frantically searching if I could find the cell numbers of other people at TREE to see if someone could connect me with our contact asap. I was a moment away from doing this when we pulled up to the house and figured I would at least see if I could get in another way. Luckily, a door had been left open so we were able to access the house, though I was still pretty upset by how their oversight caused such panic on our end.

I did not hear back from our contact until the following morning about the issue. She apologized so, that's nice I guess. She was lucky we did not end up staying at hotel because this company would have 100% ended up paying for the bill.

As if day 1 wasn't frantic enough, our last morning was also frantic. In the email we received a week before our stay, it said checkout time was 11 am. When I logged on that final morning for checkout instructions, it suddenly said checkout time was 10 am. So our leisurely morning turned a bit chaotic as we tried packing up all our things so we wouldn't be there when the cleaning crew showed up. Meanwhile I called/emailed our contact at 9 am to clarify what the actual checkout time was, and didn't hear back until 10:04 am. But of course by then, we had already hastily pulled our stuff together and were ready to go.

I have stayed in at least a dozen VRBOs and have never, ever had such a problem with the property managers. It caused our group so much unnecessary panic and worry when that's the last thing you want on a vacation.

Great view, spacious place.

It was a little taxing to get all of the contracts and paperwork done to rent this place. I suppose for how expensive the property is they apply the maximum management, insurance, cleaning and every other fee there is. It was a really nice place. A few areas that could use some attention, but nothing too big. The deck needs some power washing (it leaves a mark on your clothes if you lean or sit on it and going barefoot was a problem) and we had to sweep the spider webs out of the furniture. All that said, it's a nice place on the cliff side overlooking the town and the ocean in the distance. The kitchen was modern and great for cooking and gathering. The bedrooms were spacious and full of light. Once the windows were open we got enough cross breeze to cool it down (there's no A/C). There's a side room with TV which was fine since we weren't interested in TV, but good to know if you were going to gather around TV, it's not in the main living area. Great to have a grill outside. The deck is huge and lots of room to gather out there.

Ventura is a wonderful city with a small town charm. The residents of Ventura are friendly and welcoming. Ventura is a beach community with the bonus of hillsides nearby which are ideal for hiking, taking in the views, wildlife watching, etc. The climate is about 70 degrees farhrenheit almost year round.

Ventura Harbor offers whale watching and island excursions that are a must do. The local fairgrounds offers several venues year round. Downtown Ventura has great restaurants and dining.

Other fabulous ideas while in Ventura would be to try a wine tasting tour or...
