About Michelle Harrington

As a Bellingham realtor for 14 years, I have always had the passion to share this great community with others. I moved to Bellingham 21 years ago from Southern California to raise my family in what I believe until this day to still be one of the best places for education, recreation, beauty, family and friends. I am fortunate to live on South Hill just above Boulevard Park.

Michelle Harrington purchased this house in 2016

Why Michelle Harrington chose South Hill

I drove by and noticed this home! The location almost could not be any better and the bones of the home were still intact. There was a 100 plus years of dust, dated renovations and personal belongings that I had to sift through. There were good and bad surprises along the way but mostly good. As each layer was peeled back, the home began to shine. I feel a deep connection with history of this home, only 4 owners prior to me. I will carry on the legacy of this home, newly named Buttercup and now share it with all my guests. Welcome.

Lovely home & Great Location

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I came to Bellingham for a business event and needed a clean and stylish home to stay at that our clients could come over for visits. This home met and exceeded our expectations. Regardless of your reasons for staying at Buttercup, you will find everything you need for your stay, and it is also close to parks and stores. Stephanie, was absolutely delightful, courteous and quickly responded to my needs. I recommend Buttercup to anyone who wants that home away from home feel.

Family Fun in Fairhaven!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our first VRBO experience! The place was plenty big for our family of 3 and we had a wonderful time. Even though we didn't use it, the beautiful farmhouse kitchen was very inviting with a cute breakfast nook/table and my husband couldn't stop raving out the spacious walk-in shower. Being so close to the dock and Fairhaven really made the trip as we walked on the pier each morning and then spent afternoons wandering through downtown Fairhaven. We've already bookmarked this place to hopefully return next summer.

Beautiful large house close to the water!

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our group! You can tell that it has been recently renovated with a beautiful big kitchen with new appliances and a nice living room. The bedrooms are all spacious and the shower in the bathroom is a dream.

It is less than five minute walk to the water where there is a nice bridge that you can walk along. It is also about a 15 minute walk to downtown Fairhaven where there are a few nice shops.

The only two minor (I repeat MINOR) downfalls were that there is only one shower, but the owners were fully transparent about it and we prepared for it so it wasn't a huge issue. The other thing is that you are along a semi-main road so if you sleep in the rooms with the windows facing the road, you can hear the cars at night.

Those were not things that would prevent me from staying there again, this was an incredible place and I would recommend it to anyone!

Very comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

A relaxing stay for me & my family. We rec'd a friendly welcome from the owner and manager.

Super clean and nice "home away from home"! The shower is beautiful & such a treat...and the beds were super comfortable with soft linens! The kitchen is bright and is stocked with all the dishes/pots & pans that we needed. Michelle & Stephanie were always available to assist us.

I appreciate so much that they wanted our stay to be as enjoyable as can be.

A convienent location...we could walk into the cute/charming downtown of Fairhaven, and we even walked into Bellingham on a trail from Boulevard Park.
