Wonderful Experience!

  • 5 of 5

My family rented this Golden Hill house while staying in San Diego for my sister's wedding. The location is PRIME. We were a mile away from the reception site downtown at the Palomar Hotel, walking distance to a pre-wedding reception at CounterPoint restaurant and bar, and walking distance to our daily morning coffee at Influx. This home is quaint and exactly as described and pictured online. It was clean and well supplied with all of the amenities you'd need while on vacation. We appreciated Terry's quick response to any questions we had along the way, and found it a very easy process, as this was our first experience with VRBO. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, cozy, and a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

This is the third time I've stayed at Ron & Susan's and I've already booked my stay for next year. There's a reason why my friends and I come back to this place time and time again. The location is perfect. It's close to the #2, #3, and #5 bus lines. Krisp market is just a few blocks away if we need to get a few items. Otherwise, we just go to Grocery Outlet to get what we need. This particular unit comes with a parking spot so you don't need to worry about street parking (unless an unauthorized person parks there). There's washers and dryers downstairs and they aren't coin operated so you can pack less clothes (and leave room for souvenirs!). There was plenty of room for our group of four. My boyfriend and I took over the bedroom so it was nice to shut the door and get some privacy from the rest of our group. There are two full bathrooms which is convenient. Ron and Susan are super responsive and got back to me quickly when I had any questions. And of course, the price is right. Whenever I come to San Diego, this is my go to place whenever its available.

Nice place for our family vacation

  • 4 of 5

My family goes to San Diego once a year for vacation. This year we chose to rent this VRBO, owned by Ron & Susan, to accommodate our family: 2 adults, 2 young adults, and 2 kids.

The home is nice and comfortable, with a really nice remodeled kitchen. We loved the front patio and the back common area as well. The master bedroom is really spacious with a super comfortable king size bed. The two bathrooms are basic, small but ample. Nice living room with two fold out futon style beds. Our only reason for not giving 5 stars is that when we arrived there was a sign above one of the fold out beds that said not to unfold it, as it was in need of replacement. Since we needed all beds I was concerned about whether we would all have a place to sleep. I called the owner and he was responsive and said we could try the bed. It ended up working out OK for for our two young adults, but it was a bit flimsy. The pull out bed in the living room was also flimsy but Ron said these are going to be replaced soon.

We enjoyed the location- close to groceries and not far drive to all activities.

The washer and dryer are brand new and top notch- perfect for our families needs.

The home is well stocked with all cooking needs as far as pots, pans, silverware, utensils, etc. Plenty of linens as well.

There was one designated parking spot for the unit we rented. We were able to find street parking nearby for the other car.

Overall really nice stay, and we plan to return.

Affordable and nice bedroom

  • 4 of 5

Good location with plenty of little gems around the neighborhood to eat and get coffee. Bedroom was nice with a great bed but the other futons were a little hard to unfold. A/C worked great in the bedroom and living room but the kitchen got a little hot at times. Overall would stay there again!

Great location to many nearby locations and quiet neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

Property was clean and functional. Good house to rent for large parties. Lots of condiments available for use if you want in the fridge. Quiet neighborhood and very easy to grab an uber to many hot spots. Each main area had an AC unit. 1 bedroom had a king bed, the living room had 2 futons and the nook area another futon. Was a good property to stay at, thanks!
