Beautiful home, but lots of mice
This home is absolutely beautiful and fit our families needs perfectly! We were meeting to celebrate my Father-in-lawd 80th birthday. We had from a 2 year old up to 80! The house is very well stocked and taken care of in most ways. BUT... we had lots of mice! No matter how nice the house was, dealing with mice the whole time really left a bad impression on us. We found mouse poop in kitchen drawers, several beds and even my 2 yr old great-neice had one crawl in her pac n play with her the last night. 😩 We has someone’s vitamins dug into and moved to a bedside table by mice and someone’s crackers chewed up and left a mess in his shoe. The office at Brother’s Cove did have our sheets changed and brought up a few traps. We understand that the woods will have critters but this was way too much! I would also mention that the large windows allow a gorgeous view but it got up to 81 degrees every day due to the heat from the windows. That was pretty miserable to hang out in. We were reimbursed for one night and had a meal bought for us upon our departure which was a nice gesture. Aundrea at the office was very nice and helped make these things happen. We tried to be understanding, but feel that if they had that many mice someone had surely seen there was a huge problem before we arrived.
Thank you for talking the time to write a review about your stay with us, as well as provide us with feedback. We are pleased that the home was a good fit for your family, and that you found the cabin well-equipped and comfortable. We sincerely apologize for the issues that you encountered with mice during your stay. Unfortunately, during this time of year mice can move in rather suddenly and unexpectedly, even in a home as well maintained and cared for as Fireflies in the Night. Please know that--had we had any idea of the presence of mice in the home prior to your occupancy--it would have been taken care of straight away. An exterminator has since been out to the home, and the mice situation has been rectified. We would like the opportunity to provide you and your family with a better experience the next time you are in the Smoky Mountains.

Beautiful cabin & Views
16 of us in the cabin for Thanksgiving week! It was decorated for Christmas 🎄 which was a nice touch. Everyone enjoyed the views/comfy beds/and there own bathrooms. This cabin is almost to the very top of the mountain (timed going down about 3-4 mins). It had everything we needed, cabinets labeled where everything should be/go. Very roomy, game room was a big hit where we watched football and played pool. Ladybugs 🐞 were a little nuisance, but not an issue to where I would never stay here again (you are in the mountains). Would definitely come back to this cabin.
