Nice spot, cluttered and musty smell needs attention
The team at Natural Retreats/ Preferred Properties were a pleasure to work with while booking, paying for and while staying at this Moultenboro lake house. They were extremely efficient, helpful, and understanding. Unfortunately there were things with this house that Natural Retreats just couldn’t fix. The home, although situated nicely on Geneva Cove on Lake Winnepesauke needs lots of attention. The smell of the carpet, especially in the bathroom is simply unacceptable. There are many decorative objects needing dusting and it feels cluttered everywhere. We were pleased to have a canoe (the other canoe was falling apart) and life jackets, etc and Adirondack chairs to sit on the dock, a lovely view....however the dock needs work too it slopes to a side. The ceiling fan in the living room wasn’t working all week. We appreciate the well stocked kitchen we just feel if the owners were to weed out, clean up a bit, band fix a few things, this place could be a gem with great potential. We enjoyed renting a Pontoon boat from Thurstons tubing and water skiing. I would only recommend this Lake House after some changes have been made.
We are pleased to provide you with an update on some changes that have been made to the home since you last stayed with us. We have re-painted the outside of the home with lattice-work, all the screens on the deck have been replaced and deck floor has been repainted, there is a new kayak for guest use and the living area now has a new leather love-seat, coffee and end-tables. In addition, the carpet is being removed and a new floor will be installed in the bathroom. We greatly appreciate the feedback you provided after your stay, and we do hope to welcome you back again soon!
home was supposed to be available at 4pm, at 3pm no one in sight to clean, was on the phon etwice with rental agency they finally showed around 4 was not in the unit until after 5:30, they should rip up rug in bathroom and install tile, (smells like Urine), overall cleanliness of house I would give it a 5, outside needs some work also, would not recommend this house
Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your overall vacation experience. Although a great location for a vacation getaway, we are sorry to hear that you had arrival delays, experienced a late check-in and had cleaning issues with the house, specifically in the bathroom area. This in not acceptable. We are also sorry that the property inside and out was not up to your expectations. We will be sure to use this feedback to inform our staff and owners. Just so you know, this is not the standard that we expect from our cleaning staff, and for that we apologize. We will also let the owners know about the suggestion for upgrading the bathroom rug and tile. We look forward to seeing you on your next trip to the Lakes Region, and welcome the opportunity to offer you a more pleasant vacation experience.
