We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cottage. The house was very clean! All of the rooms were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. The owner even went out of her way to make sure a crock pot aaa stocked in the house when I asked if one was available. The house is located in a very peaceful part of the park, next to the Tabernacle and a short walk to the Guzzle and The Green. The new addition to the playground is wonderful! We loved our morning and nightly walks in this beautiful and friendly park. We can’t wait to return next Summer to our home away from home.
So glad you enjoyed the cottage and your stay at a very special TIPark!
Great stay for our family!
We were a group of 6 adults and three children and this cottage offered plenty of space and amenities to accommodate our group. Cottage was well equipt, clean and updated. Owners have taken great care in their home and it shows. Overhead Fans and window inserts in every room, nice bathrooms and well stocked kitchen. The cottage was well located, close to the main hub and children’s park. The park itself is family-oriented, with great swimming and lots to do and see. For families with small kids I do recommend a golf cart rental for easy back and Forth. Would definelty return and rent this cottage again.
Thanks Katelin! So glad it everything worked for you to spend time in TIPark. We appreciate you taking great care of our cottage.
Beautiful cottage, great location
The cottage itself is lovely and exactly as described. When we arrived there was a hand written note from the family across the street offering to help if we had any questions. There were tons of window and other fans, which we were grateful for since it was quite hot. The back bedroom (twin beds) was too hot to sleep in but luckily we didn't need it. Everything was very neat and clean, and we enjoyed our stay. The porch is beautiful but the seating is very uncomfortable (adirondack chairs) so not the place to hang out for lengths of time. It would have been nice to have pantry items available, but the kitchen had all basic cookware and utensils. Great location near the tabernacle, very central to activities.
This home is perfect for a family or, as in our case, six adults. There is plenty of space to get away and plenty of space to get together with multiple eating spots and a wonderful screened in porch. The second floor can get warm on hot days so be sure to run all the ceiling fans all day and install window fans when necessary. We had no problem cooling down our rooms but one couple who come from the air conditioned southwest weren't really knowledgeable about how to cool their bedroom down sufficiently. It would probably help if every bedroom had a window fan already installed. We noticed late in the week they were available in the upstairs hallway. Also, I'd recommend a binder with directions for wi-fi, and any other house idiosyncrasies. We never had a key but didn't feel we needed one in this bucolic community. TI Park is a unique and beautiful location on its own and a wonderful place from which to explore the region. We hope to return!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our cottage in Thousand Island Park. The weather can be unpredictably hot and I'm glad you found the fans. It is great to have ceiling fans in all the rooms to help as well. This was our first summer to rent the cottage for several weeks and your suggestion of a binder is a great one. I will be working on it over the winter:-)
We had a great stay!
You can tell the owners take great care and pride in this cottage. It appears the cottage is in the process of being updated -- insulating walls, updating baths, painting, etc. -- but all was tidy and didn't detract from our stay. The newly renovated/finished areas are fabulous with creative details and very well done. The back patio was very enjoying for morning and evening meals and the side screened porch was fabulous -- one of the favorite spots in the house. The weather was extra toasty during our visit, but there were plenty of fans and ceiling fans to help keep cool when we weren't swimming in the river. A big benefit to this cottage is the the 2.5 baths and having a full bath and bedroom on the first floor. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings overall were nice and clean. The kitchen appliances are new and the kitchen is pretty well stocked with pans, pans, and cooking and eating utensils. We look forward to renting this cottage again!
Thank you so much and we are happy you enjoyed your stay. We're super excited because the house and bunk house is now all newly painted outside. It will change the upstairs porch a great deal. We continue to work on a projects, hoping to add a dishwasher in the spring, and more finishes to the upstairs. Thank you for taking great care of the house during your stay and we hope you come back.
