This is a comfortable, classic 1940s cabin in the Puget Sound community of Hansville, Washington. It is just a short walk to the historic Point No Point Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse on Puget Sound, home to the U.S. Lighthouse Society. The lighthouse park has miles of sandy beach, picnic tables, hiking trails and views of Mt. Baker, the Cascades and shipping traffic. Fish, crab & fly your kite from the beach.
The cabin has two bedrooms, both with queen size beds, two bathrooms, one with a bathtub/shower and a queen size sleeper sofa in the livingroom. One bedroom & bath have a separate entrance for privacy. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with a propane stove/oven, microwave oven & dishwasher, a stone fireplace (propane), basic cable tv, a DVD player, a stereo, a propane BBQ, a large deck with a picnic table that seats 6 and a washer & dryer and free wifi.
Basic condiments, spices, linens, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, laundry & dish soap are provided. 2 night minimum October 1st to Memorial Day weekend. 3 night minimum during the Summer.
Because one of the bedrooms and bathrooms and the living, dining and kitchen areas of the house are up a flight of stairs, it might not be accessible to guests with mobility issues.
One small dog considered. Some of our guests and family members have cat allergies, so we do not allow cats.
Please Note: This is a non-smoking property. There is no smoking allowed in the cottage, on the decks or on the grounds.

Peaceful and cozy
We loved our stay here. It provided the perfect retreat space for a (too) quick weekend getaway. The hosts were kind and attentive to our needs. The guesthouse was welcoming and warm. Exploring the nearby lighthouse and beaches on an unexpectedly sunny day was a delight!
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so glad you and your cute pooch enjoyed your visit. We hope you will come back and visit us again soon!

Great holiday spot
Can't say enough of this place for value as a vacation getaway. Clean, cozy, updated appliances, and close to everything there is to see. Even the ferry can be a pleasant surprise on long holidays! For veteran beach lovers or anyone willing to get their toes wet, this is the place!
Highest rating always.
Thank you! We're so glad you came back to visit our guest house again. We always enjoy your visits.
Beautiful home, well kept up and clean!
We couldn't of asked for better weather! Hansville is a relaxing community!
We're so glad came to visit our guest house again. We're looking forward to your next visit!
Instantly felt like home
The moment we walked in the cabin, we felt like we were home and the moment we met Christy and Rick, they felt like old friends we had not seen in a long time. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed and more. Our grandchildren loved having the beach just across the street. We loved our stay and are planning to return.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our cottage. We look forward to your next visit to the beach!
Repeat at the Beach
Our second time around for Thanksgiving week at this great place! Never a dull moment with places to see and exciting weather. Everything was done perfectly and all worked well. Only exception, and typical this time of year, was the power failure mid-week. After a few hours, back in business.
Must say the hospitality was like nowhere to be found, especially boiled, cracked, and served with some vintage white. Had a most memorable meal with the power out and the propane fireplace on. Thanksgiving was without incident, drat (LOL). Looking forward to a return in warmer weather and very little wind and rain. But we'll miss some of it!
We're so glad you enjoyed Thanksgiving at the beach. Glad to hear that the reduction of a star was due to Mother Nature and not the cottage. November is always our wild weather month out here at the beach. Fortunately the propane fireplace keeps the cottage cozy.
Looking forward to your return visit in May!
My stay at Hansville
We had a great time and Christy and Rick are just wonderful. The house was so cute, clean and comfortable. The weather was great and it was just a few minute walk to the lighthouse and beach where we took our dogs a couple of times a day. We can't wait to come back!
We're so glad you and your cute pooches enjoyed your stay. We're looking forward to your next visit.
The cottage is just a 5-minute walk to the historic Point No Point Lighthouse and park with its wildlife reserve, hiking, horseback riding and bike trails, picnic tables, miles of sandy beach and views of Mt. Baker, the Cascades and shipping traffic. Fish, crab & fly your kite from the beach. Visit the nearby Nature Conservancy beach on Hood Canal. It is a short drive to the villages of Kingston, Poulsbo, Port Gamble and Winslow with their quaint shops, farmer's markets, golf courses and great restaurants. Take a day trip to the Olympic Peninsula where you can visit Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic Mountains and Sequim's lavender farms.
