Charming, completely renovated 1930’s South of Broad townhouse. Walking or biking distance to everything desired in vibrant downtown Charleston, yet situated in the residential, and highly desired, South of Broad area of the Charleston penninsula. Convenient to all of Charleston’s attractions while still providing a home away from home experience. Located directly across the street from Colonial Lake, tennis courts, and Moultrie Playground; 2 blocks to the waterfront on Murray Blvd and less than a mile to White Point Gardens (also called The Battery) and 1 mile to King street shops and restaurants.

Our family purchased this townhome in 2008. We had a very successful rental year before deciding to reside in Charleston full-time. We are now moving to a slightly larger home (also in the downtown area) and are once again opening our townhome for rental.
Kit purchased this Townhome in 2008
Why Kit chose South of Broad
This home is wonderfully located in beautiful downtown Charleston! Everything from Waterfront (the Battery) to the many fabulous shops and restaurants on and around King St. is within a short walk or bike ride from our home.
What makes this Townhome unique
Open and airy with great light at any time of day. Fully renovated townhome with brushed steel appliances.

Perfect little condo. Very clean, great location close to historical district. Manager was most helpful accommodating our late arrival. Highly reccomend & would definately stay there again.
Great Location and Great House
We arrived about an hour early, when I called and spoke with Kit to ask where to pick up the key etc. When he realized we were already there, he told me Laura had just finished up getting it ready and we were welcome to go in early. It was a very clean, nice and well appointed town house, roughly a 10 minute walk into town. There were 2 parking spaces included which was great not having to look for off street parking.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, dishwasher and anything we needed to cook. As well as a washer/dryer including soap tabs. There was a nice TV with cable and a comfortable big couch/chaise in the living room and a nice dining area and powder room downstairs.
Both bedrooms and a bathroom with a good sized jacuzzi tub/shower were upstairs. We only used one of the bedrooms, but it was very comfortable with a queen bed and plenty of closet space.
You can tell that Kit and Laura have pride in their rental and have tried to think of all the comforts one would want at a home away from home. We'd definitely recommend this VRBO to our friends if they come to Charleston.

Lovely townhouse in a great location
The townhouse is clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
Thank you kindly for you review!
Nice quiet place.
This was a very clean comfortable home. I wouldn’t call it a downtown location, but the location was good for walking nice neighborhoods.
Happy you enjoyed your stay! The Charleston Peninsula is considered "downtown" Charleston. Our town home is located in a residential part of downtown with popular dining and shops located less than a 1 mile away.
Hope this clarifies the location for potential guests.
Nice property in downtown Charleston
We loved staying at this property. It is close to everything. Off street parking available is a plus.
Thank you for your review!
Really enjoyed everything the home came with - ample sheets, pillows, toiletries, silverware, cookware etc. House had a great location that was secluded with plenty of parking. We came during a rather cold spell for SC and had to use space heaters. The space heaters did the job, but it was a little frustrating they could not be turned up to max heat and have any lights on without tripping the breaker. Luckily, we cut cable a long time ago and had plenty of login info - but could see for some people that not having any provided cable could be a little frustrating. Overall, we enjoyed the home and the working with the owners was effortless!
Thank you for the positive review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and really appreciate you taking the time to post comments. Apologies for the unusually cold weather and space heaters, we're happy they did the job but this extreme cold was clearly a little more than they could handle. Good news is that we have just completed the installation of a new central heat and air system. We do have cable but it is limited to basic channels. We also provide Wifi and a Roku device for guests to connect to their own streaming services such as Netflix. For longer term guests we will consider adding additional cable channels by request. Thanks again for the review and we hope you return to visit in the future!
Conveniently located South of Broad town-home directly across the street from Moultie Playground and tennis courts, and Colonial Lake. I mile to Market Street, King Street, shops and restaurants. Walk, bike, or take a 'pedi-cab' to all downtown attractions. Folly beach 20 minutes by car. Isle of Palms and Sullivan Beach within 30 minutes.
