Charming 1940's single family bungalow home with original hardwood floors, original knobs and other fixtures, backyard, and plenty of parking. We completely remodeled the home in 2016, but maintained its original character and charm. There's a full 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and a twin bed in a 3rd bonus room/office to sleep a total of 5 people. The bonus room has a desk and chair and makes for a perfect office. The office is open to the kitchen without a private door. Complimentary laundry facility is included. The home has everything that you would need from dishes, pots and pans, a toaster, stove, refrigerator, table and chairs, towels, and fresh sheets.

It's located in the heart of Hyde Park in central Austin within walking distance to restaurants, a bakery, and other local businesses. ASTI, Quack's Mother's Cafe, Julio's, and several other restaurants are close by. There is a public bus stop one block away that will take you anywhere in the city including downtown.

My wife and I live nearby, so we're always available if you have any questions about Austin or need any suggestions for sights to see or places to eat. We hope that you select this wonderful guest house for your stay!

We are family friendly and can accommodate up to 2 children. Total of 5 people includes any children.

A charming, comfortable, and very clean house in the perfectly situated Hyde Park neighborhood.

The house is a great place to stay in central Austin. Within easy walking distance of several good restaurants, bakery, and small grocer. Bus line to downtown goes right by front door. The house is minimally furnished but comfortable, with lovely hardwood floors, big windows, 2 large bedrooms, smaller 3rd bedroom, separate dining room, and updated kitchen. Be aware, though, that the shower is in an old-fashioned free-standing bathtub; stepping over the high sides and negotiating the narrow space inside while showering may be difficult for some people. The owner is very helpful and friendly before, during, and after your stay.

Great Place in Hyde Park

The house is located in a great spot, just three blocks from the little commercial area which includes Quack's (Coffee and pastries), Fresh Plus (small grocery store) and several restaurants. We have rented many houses in Hyde Park over the years and this is one of the best. Very clean, nice kitchen and well set up bedrooms. Only problem we ran into was the refridgerator...it kept freezing our bottled water & milk.

Clean cute cumfy bungalow

We had a fabulous stay. Pete was a great host and made sure everything was clearly and timeously communicated which is very helpful when coming in from out of town. We had everything we needed and the location worked out well for us for the Formula 1 Weekend. Plus the water was lovely and hot which allowed everyone to have a great shower - which in my group was well appreciated! All in all a great stay and we would happily return !!! Many thanks
