This is a newly renovated 2/2 condo that can sleep up to 4 people. The condo has brand new tile floors, new wood floors in the bedrooms, new paint, granite counter tops, all new appliances, local beach art, fully stocked kitchen, flat screen TVs (two), a Wii game console, full stereo, top-line washer and dryer, and quality and comfortable furniture. The condo is also a three minute walk (approximately 2-3 city blocks) to the best part of St. Augustine Beach!!! It is the far end of Anastasia State Park so there are beautiful sea oats, wildlife, great shells, a large sandy beach, and an awesome surf break!! Then one block south from there is the St. Augustine Beach Pier, which hosts a splash park, beach volley ball courts, fishing, and lots of markets and music festivals. Then all along AIA in St. Augustine Beach and in walking or biking distance from the condo, there are fantastic local beach shops, bars and music venues, and restaurants. Within the complex, the condo is just steps from a beautiful private pool for residents and their guests only, then across the street the local YMCA hosts weekly $25 memberships for unlimited classes, workouts, etc! Lastly, there are free community tennis courts, paddle ball courts, a play ground, and a dog park just a few blocks west of the condo and the public bus to get downtown (and not worry about parking) or anywhere around St. Augustine has a stop at our road! Everything needed for a very active OR restful vacation :)

About Jill Nicolino
I am a psychologist in private practice in Asheville, North Carolina with intention of eventually moving back to St. Augustine Beach. For my undergraduate schooling, I went to Flagler College and fell in love with this fabulous beach community. Since graduating from Flagler, I have continued to return to 'St. Auggy' over the years as much as possible and have maintained my connections with my many friends who have made this place their home. Buying this condo was so exciting to me so that I was able to begin to feel I had roots again to this beach and this town. I took great pride to make the condo feel like MY home; therefore, I put a lot of love into getting it set up to feel welcoming, comforting, and peaceful for when I get to come back here and enjoy it. In the interim however, it is my hope that people who stay here will also get to experience the peace and joy that this place, this beach, and this community brings to me and my family.

Great overall experience!
The condo was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay! It is tastefully decorated and conveniently located. St. Augustine is a wonderful place to visit!
1st Time to St. Augustine! AWESOME experience!
First of all, the condo owner, Jill, was great. We were in town while our newborn's adoption was being finalized, and Jill had left us inside the condo with an "It's a Boy" balloon and a small stuffed animal for him. What a nice, comforting touch to a home-away-from-home that we had never been! The condo was definitely clean, and you could tell that it had been recently renovated. The living room was comfortable with a sofa, love seat, and rocking chair. We loved the Wii in the living room along with probably 10-12 games and two controllers. It helped us with three kids all under the age of 7 to have a way to pass some of those rainy St. Augustine spring days. The kitchen had everything that we needed as we cooked most evenings. The laundry area was located right off of the kitchen with a good washer and dryer. Both full bathrooms were clean and had great showers with plenty of hot, strong water pressure. The master bedroom's bed was comfy and the guest bedroom had two twins as advertised with a nice, inviting touch for children. We did like that both bedrooms had a type of hardwood-style flooring as the rest of the condo is tiled. The neighbors upstairs were older snowbirds, so they were very kind and friendly, and most importantly, quiet. It was a pleasure getting to know them. The walk to the public beach is probably a solid 5-minute walk to the beach which was a little tough for us with a newborn. Had it been me, my wife, our six-year old and four-year old, then we would have walked each day. We instead opted to just load up and drive a few blocks down A1A to a very nice public beach access. We are beach people, so we didn't spend any time at the pool so I can't comment on that area.
The only negatives in our opinion were the walk to the beach and a pretty basic cable package on the condo's t.v.'s. However, when you keep in mind the extremely reasonable price point that this unit rents at, those are just little sacrifices and inconveniences.
On another note, we ate at some really awesome restaurants while in St. Augustine that I would recommend: Prohibition Kitchen, The Back 40 Cafe, Seafood Kitchen, and The Maple Street Biscuit Company. All were either recommended by locals or TripAdvisor.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience, and we can't say "THANK YOU" to Jill enough for being so accommodating. Her hospitality and prompt responses helped make this condo and our stay even better than we expected!
Jill was very difficult to deal with. The picture and write up stated there was sleeping for 6. When we arrived there was no futon. There was no place to sit out and enjoy the weather. The pillows were dirty. The pool area was not kept clean. Never go back again.
These ladies were a nightmare! The worst guests I have ever had in 9 years of rental. First, they never sent payment, as they wanted to send checks. Then accused ME of stealing their checks until a week later that realized they made the mistake and didn't apologize at all...then still didn't send the money. After telling them I was canceling their reservation, they finally sent money well past the due date. Second, they rented it for 2 people "golden girls"....YET they arrive and said that they needed an extra bed because there were 4 people "who all needed their own bed". They threw a fit and complained at everything as they obviously did NOT read my condo's description and lied on the initial lease. After 3 days of them harassing me on emails and texts with threats, I asked them to PLEASE leave and I would give them all their money back..They were THAT bad that I just wanted them gone. But they refused to go and stayed a MONTH. To try and accommodate their constant complaining, I bought a futon for them after the 4th day because they were so nasty with threats about "spreading bad reviews all over" about me, despite that they were completely in the WRONG. Funny thing is, I bought the futon and again, no gratitude....just nastiness. I have reviewed this person for others on VRBO/Home Away to suggest that NOBODY RENT TO THEM! They are seriously awful human beings to deal with! Despite the complaining all along the way for 4 weeks, they appeared to enjoy the place well enough to not leave...as I begged them to do!! I actually did look into how I could evict them through the courts, but did not have enough time. It is sad that I had to experience these horrible women and hope that other tenants won't have to.... since 2009, almost all of my guests have been amazing and MANY folks return every year. As for them never coming back to my place, I would like to let them know that they are NOT invited nor are they welcome.

Perfect and relaxing
The AuggyDoggy is such a cute condo right down to the decore. Beds were so comfortable, and the place had everything we needed. We only stayed for 4 days but it was located close to the old town which we wanted to see the most. Short driving distance from everywhere we needed to go. Everything was perfect and clean with room enough for the three of us. We even met a very nice neighbor who lent us a book. Quiet, comfy and cozy. A great home to come back to after a day of adventuring! I highly recommend the AuggyDoggy! We would definitely come back!
Very nice place...Clean...Great location...Would stay again...
Thank you for your Review. I'm so sad to say that you were the last person to be in my condo prior to being hit by Hurricane Matthew. St. Augustine got devastated, and we have a lot to rebuild, but will persevere and overcome!
A very short 3 minute walk to St. Augustine Beach!!! The beach access from the condo is at the far end of Anastasia State Park so there is the beautiful preserve of the sea oats and wildlife, along with a fantastic beach with great surf and shells! Then walk one more block south and you are at the St. Augustine Beach Pier that includes beach volleyball and a fun splash park for the kids as well as live music, markets, and festivals throughout the summer. This condo is located in a prime spot as it is in walking or biking distance to all St. Augustine Beach restaurants, shops, bars, and activities! The condo is also right across the street from the YMCA where they offer weekly memberships for $25 and endless classes and workout possibilities. The condo is newly renovated with all new tile floors, wood floors in the bedrooms, painted walls, appliances, granite counters, beach art, and nice, quality, and comfortable furniture. The complex also includes a private beautiful pool that is steps away.
