Coeur d'Alene Lake has neither the girth of Huron nor the glitz of Tahoe. But mile for mile, this sliver of a lake - with its own unique natural wonders and attractions - can hold its own among those more famous bodies of water. Tucked away in an inlet bay formed by Kid Island (which protrudes into the lake like a thumb) is this gorgeous four-bedroom home that faces Coeur d'Alene Lake. With multiple level decks and 2 private docks, this home is a gateway to the magic of the lake with room for up to eight people.
Looking inland from the water, this expansive home looks more like a hotel, with two huge piggy-backed decks spanning the length of the structure. Inside, however, the spacious living area with its floor to ceiling stone fireplace and plush furniture has a warmth accentuated by the beautiful hardwood floors. Upstairs and down, the home is loaded with big windows that flood the rooms with sunlight and offer great views of the lake beyond. On really hot days, flip on the central air. Outside, watch the activity on the water from your comfortable perch on the huge deck. Or, grab the marshmallows, a blanket, and head out to the outdoor fireplace/fire pit.
Since you're right on the water in this home, distances are reckoned by both boat and by car. So, when you're ready to go out for a meal, there are at least 5 reputable places not too far away, all of them under 10 minutes by boat. By car, however, they range in distance from 10 to 25 minutes away. If you're staying in, this uniquely designed kitchen flows seamlessly from the living area and has everything your chef will need to whip up a great meal. Cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a long marble counter punctuated with plenty of outlets are tucked into one long wall, allowing ample space for prep work and clean up. A large island with 4 stools allows the busy cook to converse with friends and family while they sip a drink or munch on appetizers.
This custom lakefront home has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, plenty of room for everyone to get ready without competing for space. In the morning, step through the French doors of the master bedroom with its king bed out onto the deck and savor a great view of the lake with your morning coffee. There are 3 other bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a full/double, another with 2 twins, and, finally, 1 sofabed, so there's plenty of flexible sleeping arrangements for your group of up to eight guests.
The City of Coeur d'Alene is about 12 miles (about 22 minutes by car) from this property. By boat, it's about half the time. Within a hundred miles of Coeur d'Alene you'll find 50 lakes and 3 national forests. With that comes plenty of boating, waterskiing, hiking, kayaking and fishing. There are 3 theme water parks nearby. Golfers: tee-up at one of 8 golf courses in the Coeur d'Alene area. Shoppers: choose from 125 retail shops by the lake. For skiers, there are 5 ski areas from within 48 to 90 miles from the city. You'll also find a winery, spas, and theaters in Coeur d'Alene.

About Vacasa, ID - Coeur d'Alene Region Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Great site but more care needs to be taken
Great site but more care needs to be taken. For the cost of this property, I would expect a more thorough preparation.
We apologize for any disappointments this guest experienced.

This house is in a great location. The house is large and the pictures are accurate. As reflected in a few of the other reviews, the outside needs a lot of tlc and more seating. There's a ton of webs, dirt, dead bugs etc...They need to add bug zappers to the outside to help alleviate this issue. This is not average bugs that you have when on a lake or camping. The dock needs to be replaced. It is barely held together in spots and the plastic stripping is falling off the dock which makes it difficult and dangerous to get yourself back on to the dock as the stripping has many nails sticking out of it. I also agree with a previous review that the pots and pans need to be replaced and a few more added. The fire pit is not really a fire pit. The grass/weeds are so high around it, it is unsafe to use it. It is simply a few rocks around a circle of dirt. Lastly, the basement could use some more furniture. You can only seat 3 people with the current set up. All in all, this was a beautiful home and we really enjoyed our time there. For the price that is charged, it just needs to be kept up better.
For the home's occupancy we feel the amount of seating on the deck is adequate. The weeds around the fire pit have been cut back so it is more enjoyable to use. The dock has new floats underneath, and the property manager will inspect it for old nails. Thank you!
Beautiful house and views
The house is amazing with great views. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for five adults and a one year old. The kitchen was great but could use some additional cooking items such as (better) pots and pans. There was seating for eight people at the kitchen table but not much seating on the deck. The stairs to the lake are steep and might be difficult for some people. The place was in a great location, private, and was super quiet. The biggest complaint I have though was the cleanliness. When we arrived the bedding was in a pile on the floor and had to be washed, there were dead bugs and cobwebs throughout the house, furniture was dusty, the carpet was not vacuumed, and the deck needed to be swept off. It seemed as if they forgot to clean the house after the previous guest or that no one had been there in a while. Overall the house was wonderful and we would probably stay there again if it was cleaned up. We would give it a higher rating if those issues were addressed.
We sincerely apologize for the oversight that occurred prior to this guest's arrival. The couches and mattresses were professionally cleaned, and the bedding was not replaced after this occurred. The property manager will ensure a pre-check is performed at this home before future guest arrivals. Thank you!
Beautiful home right on the lake!
This home is spacious, comfortable, all rooms have beautiful views and it is right on the water. The master (and the 2nd master below) have on suites and floor to ceiling views of the lake. Kitchen is fantastic and the fire place is lovely once the sun goes down.
20 minutes from town so our teenagers could run in to get a burger or for easy trips to the movies, grocery store, etc.
One note - there are ALOT of stairs, both to get from the car to the house, and then down to the lake. If you have physical challenges or very small children this would be something to consider. Overall, we loved this home, and will definitely be back!
Great family vacation get-away!
I stayed here with my husband and teenage kids. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space, and the great room concept on the main floor allowed for games, meals, etc. all together. The house is spacious and beautiful, and on a quieter part of the lake.
If you are looking for fun ON the lake, Harrison Boat Rentals was the perfect addition to our long weekend. Excellent customer service, nice boats and plenty of options.
Big House Lacking in Amenities
The location and size of the house are accurate. Items missing from the inventory included a .blender and hair dryer. Mirrors are not in all the bathrooms. Bed side night stands were limited. Black towels were new so when using them, black dye was all over the sink and shower area.
This house is not for people who are physically challenged; too many stairs. Very limited outdoor furniture and none down by the lake. No wood for the fire pit.
All in all, it felt like a business rental and not an owners personal property. The furniture is sparse and looks like it has been rented. No TV controls in the master bedroom. And most disturbing, no local channels on the flat screen down stairs....we were all prepared to watch NBA finals, but not available.
The dock was covered in goose poo and in general disrepair. The walkway onto the deck needs repair immediately; it is sinking into the lake.
We had a good time here, but we would not recommend it to friends.
