I grew up in Southern California and as a kid always enjoyed vacationing in the mountains with my family. The mountains has always be a place of fond childhood memories of my family and the times we spent together. Eleven years ago I got the opportunity to work here in Big Bear Lake. I clearly remember the first day I drove up. I was amazed that in just a short drive I was in a whole new place of beautiful scenery and clean pine-scented air. Shortly afterwards I discovered that Big Bear Lake is a four-season resort with so much to do. It opened the door to discover new things to do with my family. Now we mountain bike and hike together. The kids enjoy snowboarding and we go boating with family. This is a great place to do alot or if you prefer, relax and do nothing at all. The mountains are a great place to get away and build memories with the ones you love. We hope you come and enjoy Big Bear Lake and stay at our wonderful home in lower Moonridge.
Roger purchased this House in 2012
Why Roger chose Big Bear Lake
There are many nice areas in Big Bear Lake, each with their own unique qualities. We chose lower Moonridge because of the abundance of pine and oak trees that cluster around the homes in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is a quiet and well kept area. It is just a few blocks from Bear Mountain Ski Resort, Moonridge Zoo and the golf course. It is a great place to enjoy a peaceful getaway when you want to relax and recharge your batteries. It's also a great place for the active vacationer. There are plenty of things to do at the house or at the many seasonal resort spots Big Bear has to offer.
What makes this House unique
When you stay at our place you will know why we bought this home. It is full of all sorts of unique features. The beautiful wood walls and ceilings give way to big open skylights. Through the skylights you can see the giant pine trees that surround the house. It has two wood fireplaces and central heating to get cozy on those cool nights. The neighborhood is quiet and in a perfect location away from all the hustle. It is only a short distance away from all the recreational actvities and events that Big Bear Lake has to offer. When you leave you will want to come back.

Perfect for family and/or a group of friends
Spacious and accommodating. Been coming to big for a few years now and this is by far my favorite cabin. The indoor hot tub was the icing on the cake.
Thank you Lamar for the 5 Star review. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay and want to come back.
Just what we needed
Great space for our 2 families and lots of fun for the kids which was a great distraction from the lack of snow! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
Thank you Karen for the nice review! I wish it would of snowed for you. The weather has been disappointing so far. Hopefully, you will have better luck next time.:)
Property was as advertised. We would rent the property again.
Only issue we had was a circuit breaker blew after we turned on the game room electric heater. Once we located the circuit breaker box and reset it we left the heater off and it did not trip again.
Home was very clean and well stocked. Kids loved the game room although heavy coats were required due to cold temp.
The property is on street corner and have two rental units that are attached with parking on both streets. parking for the area in front of the garage was not clearly explained. We later learned from property mgr which we could use but would be helpful to have clearly defined.
Be aware game room is a converted garage and not heated, inside temp was same as outdoors, during our visit it was very cold.
Thank you for your review. I did check the outlet and ran the game room heater and there was no problem. There has never been an issue with the breaker switch tripping in the past but I will further investigate. Thank you for your input. We have stated on the web page, the rental agreement, the welcome letter and in the welcome packet the designated parking area so that it would be clearly defined. This is the "cut and paste" wording I sent to you in your welcome letter and is in the welcome booklet:
The property is located on the corner of Silver Tip Drive and Plymouth Road. The entrance to the main front door is on Silver Tip Drive. There is a parking lot along Silver Tip Drive near the front door. There is additional parking on the driveway located on the Plymouth Road side of the property. Please only park on the Right-Half of that driveway. The Left-Side of the large driveway on Plymouth Road is reserved for renters in Unit B Guesthouse only.
The house was absolutely charming with everything necessary for a great weekend getaway!
We loved staying at this property. It had absolutely everything one can need to have a perfect weekend getaway to Big Bear Lake, including a fully stocked game room. It has 4 bedrooms which provide for a comfortable stay of a group up to 8 people and plenty of parking space (up to 3 cars). The property is located just 5 minutes away from Big Bear ski resort, which makes it an ideal location for those coming to ski over the weekend, but also only 5-10 minutes away from Big Bear Village if skiing isn’t the goal for the time at Big Bear.
Thank you so much for your beautiful compliments. I also appreciate how you detailed our wonderful house and its proximity to the prime sites in Big Bear Lake. We are happy you loved your stay and took the time to share your experience. Please come again!
