About Roger

I grew up in Southern California and as a kid always enjoyed vacationing in the mountains with my family. The mountains has always be a place of fond childhood memories of my family and the times we spent together. Eleven years ago I got the opportunity to work here in Big Bear Lake. I clearly remember the first day I drove up. I was amazed that in just a short drive I was in a whole new place of beautiful scenery and clean pine-scented air. Shortly afterwards I discovered that Big Bear Lake is a four-season resort with so much to do. It opened the door to discover new things to do with my family. Now we mountain bike and hike together. The kids enjoy snowboarding and we go boating with family. This is a great place to do alot or if you prefer, relax and do nothing at all. The mountains are a great place to get away and build memories with the ones you love. We hope you come and enjoy Big Bear Lake and stay at our wonderful home in lower Moonridge.

Roger purchased this house in 2012

Why Roger chose Moonridge

There are many nice areas in Big Bear Lake, each with their own unique qualities. We chose lower Moonridge because of the abundance of pine and oak trees that cluster around the homes in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is a quiet and well kept area. It is just a few blocks from Bear Mountain Ski Resort, Moonridge Zoo and the golf course. It is a great place to enjoy a peaceful getaway when you want to relax and recharge your batteries. It's also a great place for the active vacationer. There are plenty of things to do at the house or at the many seasonal resort spots Big Bear has to offer.

What makes this house unique

When you stay at our place you will know why we bought this home. It is full of all sorts of unique features. The beautiful wood walls and ceilings give way to big open skylights. Through the skylights you can see the giant pine trees that surround the house. It has two wood fireplaces and central heating to get cozy on those cool nights. The neighborhood is quiet and in a perfect location away from all the hustle. It is only a short distance away from all the recreational actvities and events that Big Bear Lake has to offer. When you leave you will want to come back.

Had a great time!

  • 5 of 5

Had an overall great experience at this cabin. We celebrated my boyfriends birthday and everyone was amazed at the house. Well kept, fully stocked with kitchenware, feels like you're right at home.

The bed in the master bedroom was SUPER comfortable! Definitely will recommend this place!

Best Birthday Weekend!!

  • 5 of 5

I went to Roger's cabin with a group of 8 friends and it was an awesome weekend! First of all the pictures are a very accurate representation of what the place really looks like. There was plenty of room for our cars and it was nice to be able to park right in front of the entrance for easy unloading of our gear. There was plenty of room for all of us to sleep comfortably. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Our favorite part of the house was the indoor spa! It was the highlight of our weekend to be able to hang out and relax in the spa after a long day on the slopes. The game room was a blast as well, so much ping pong was played! The cabin was in an excellent location in a quite neighborhood right next to the bear mountain resort. We ended up going to snow summit instead and it was still only a 5ish minute drive away. It was also very close to big bear blvd with a walgreens and vons a short drive away. Roger was a great host, gave us very detailed instructions on the cabin to make sure we had a great weekend. We got to enjoy the cabin in privacy and knew we could easily get in contact with him if it was necessary. I hope to visit again sometime soon!

Eagles Hideaway

  • 4 of 5

This house had all the amenities that we needed for a fun-filled weekend get-away in Big Bear. The game room in the garage and indoor hot tub were positive added features to our experience. We enjoyed playing all the different games and the close proximity to the Village, Lake and Big Bear ski resort. The only thing that I would say was slightly less than perfect was the fact that the sheets for the sleeper sofa were not clean, but we luckily found another set of clean sheets in one of the other bedrooms.

Owner's Response: Maya, Thank you for your compliments and comment. The sheets you found were stuck in the closet or left in the sofa bed from the previous guests. We ask all renters to leave sofa beds open and beds undone so that the housekeeper will know to gather and wash sheets that are used. However, the last guests did not do that and the housekeeper did not see those sheets. I apologize that the sheets for the sofa bed were not clean but glad you found and used the extra clean pair

Excellent Rental

We stayed at this property with friends. It was clean, neat, and in a great location. The cabin is nestled in nature but close enough to walk to the main road.

We would absolutelly stay here again.

Had the time of our lives!

  • 5 of 5

Our entire stay was an amazing memorable one. Rogers retreat was a real treat for my family and I. The house had so much to offer it made it difficult for us to want to experience the great outdoors. From the ping pong championships in the game room downstairs, to the Disney movies and video games in the kids room upstairs, the entertainment center where we indulged in movie nights in front of a raging fire, and board games with the whole family, everything was perfect. We literally didn't have enough time for everything. We did partake in a day of boarding on the Big Bear Mountain resort which was only a few short minutes away making the journey stress free. We were a bit sad at the lack of snow on the ground upon our arrival, but with the appending storm approaching we were hoping to see some snow fall. A few of us had never been to the snow, let alone seen snow fall, but boy did we! The most incredible storm experience while we stayed nestled in the home watching mother nature do her thing. We couldn't have asked for a better or more perfect time. We'd love to do it again and recommend anyone and everyone to experience it. Thank you Roger.

Great Stay at Eagle's Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over the Christmas weekend, and we had a wonderful time at Eagle's Hideaway. This house has everything a family needs to be comfortable and entertained.....a real home away from home! The location is great too. It's a few minutes drive to Bear Mountain, so we spent the day on the slopes and then came back to relax back at the house. It was a really fantastic stay. Thank you Roger.
