We were two older couples staying there and the place was perfect. It is exactly like the pictures, a little bit quirky, extremely functional and in a great location. The owner, Richard and his wife, were wonderful. They arranged transport to help us get from the train station and to the airport, with a little surprise on arrival that was greatly appreciated. Checked on us during our stay to make sure everything was okay. I would happily stay there again and recommend it to anyone.
Excellent, Wonderful, Marvelous, Incredible, Outstanding, Premier, Unsurpassed..
Excellent, Wonderful, Marvelous, Incredible, Outstanding, Premier, Unsurpassed...are just a few words to describe this property and experience in Chiang Mai. This was our first trip to Thailand, the second stop on our journey and we occupied the 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath town house for 5 nights. This property is beyond one's imagination in location, decor, amenities and commitment of owner to ensure one has a amazing experience. First the location; the property is located in the Old City on a quiet, primarily residential side street which is within a two minute or less walk to the "main" streets. The main streets offer copious small restaurants featuring both Thai and Western cuisine.( we were biased to Thai which was amazing and very reasonably priced). Also the main streets offer access to multiple massage venues, convenience stores, ATMs and tuk-tuks. Indeed on Sunday night there is the Walking Market filled with local artisans and food vendors...highly recommend that experience. There are approximately 300 Wats in Chiang Mai and five are within easy walking distance from the property. Next the decor and amenities: As you can tell by the pictures the decor is eclectic and unique; the owner personally choose each item While rather funky and fun, the accommodations are very comfortable, utilitarian and guest centric; including TV and wireless for those who wish to stay connected. The powerful AC is much welcomed on the hot days. The kitchen provides everything one would need or want. And there are two balconies from which to enjoy a beverage and watch the foot traffic on the street. Lastly the owner: Richard arranges transportation to and from the airport and is personally there to greet his guests. He has built a network of guides who are available for personalized tuk-tuk tours and customized adventures by car. We used both services and were exceptionally pleased ( being Westerners also appreciated they spoke English as am embarrassed to say know very little Thai). Richard introduced us to owner of the high end hostel located across the street who helped us set up all inclusive tours (we choose the Elephant Sanctuary experience which was beyond incredible). Additionally Richard provides a local cell phone for use while staying at the property; and makes himself always available. If you have time, spend some time just talking with Richard . He is a consummate business man who is down to earth, has grand stories of his rich history of life adventures and his se

The Townhouse was as exotic and interesting as it was well located. Newly renovated, the decor has a slight asian steam punk feel, with exposed brickwork, industrial electric touches, plus Thai and scientific artworks. Situated near Wat Phra Singh, it is a few minutes walk from most of the major Chiang Mai attractions. The host, Richard exudes a charm and passion seen less often these days. He is friendly and quick to offer any sort of support you may need from transport around town, to tips on local food vendors to anything you require. I would not hesitate to recommend this townhouse again.
Perfect accomodations for our first trip to Chiang Mai
My wife and I along with our son and his girlfriend stayed in this well-decorated townhouse in the Old City. , the owner, had his driver pick us up at the airport and met us at the house to greet us and show us around. He emailed us two days into our stay to make sure everything was all right. We had maid service twice during our visit. We especially enjoyed the kitchen which was well-equipped to practice making the Thai dishes we had learned from our cooking class. The town home is located far enough from a main street to be quiet but convenient to a busy street with many red taxis. We were very satisfied with our lodging and would book there again. Perfect for four people.
