Overview

About the property

Walk right into the shoals from this great location on the Little Red River, close to everything this quaint little town of Heber Springs has to offer. If you need to unwind, relax and wet a line, this place is for you. Sit outside and enjoy the sounds of the rushing water on the large comfortable covered deck overlooking the river. My cottage is right on the shoals so walk right into the water and fly fish or bait fish for rainbow or brown trout. Look up the river for a spectacular view of sugar loaf mountain. Inside this cute cottage you will find hardwood floors in the large master bedroom, large flat screen TV, and Egyptian cotton linens. Enjoy the large tiled shower in the master bath. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up your catch or put them on the gas grill outside on the wood deck. Enjoy-I know you will!!!!

About Lea Blackwell

I am a long time resident of Heber Springs. I love this quaint little town and having access to fly fishing (the reason I moved here) on the beautiful Little Red River as well as boating and jet skiing on gorgeous Greers Ferry Lake. I am an interior designer by trade and aslo am a licensed real estate agent with Crye-Leike Brock Real Estate.

Lea Blackwell purchased this bungalow in 2011

Why Lea Blackwell chose Greers Ferry Lake

I bought this house in town and had it physically moved to my property on the river in 2011. I love to restore older homes and had lots of fun working on this one.

What makes this bungalow unique

The sound of the water rushing over the shoals from my comfy covered deck and the beautiful view of the river are my cottage best features. (the inside is pretty cute too if I do say so myself!!!)

Guestbook comments from the owner

I can assure all my future guest that this problem has been taken care of. I did have a mouse this past spring and called the exterminator immediately. Unfortunately I do have a few uninvited guest, as my property is located on 56 acres of beautiful woods and pastures, but not often.

My cleaning crew apparently missed cleaning in the very back of a bottom cabinet but that has now been taken care of. I can assure you my place is not, nor has ever been infested with mice. I take great pride in providing a clean, comfortable, casual place to enjoy your visit.

I obviously was not able to do that with these guest, as they also pointed out two other things they thought I needed to correct that no other guest has ever mentioned in 3 years since I have been renting my place.

As you can read from my other reviews I have had many happy satisfied guest who continue to come back every year and think I have the beat place on the river- and I agree!!!

Please call me if you have any other question regarding this matter and thank you for your interest😃.

Perfect setup for our family. Peaceful and private.

Peaceful setting with no neighbors. Walk down the bank to the river or canoe on the pond on the property. House was roomy and charming. Very relaxing. Short drive to town and the lake. Enjoyed the deer in the meadow.

Wonderful experience

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful property with great privacy. The cottage is nice and roomy and provides all the comforts of home. We spent a great deal of time on the two decks overlooking the river. There is easy access to the river. We especially enjoyed the visits from deer in the field behind the property. Just an all around great getaway.

Our stay at the FlyingFishInn was awesome.

  • 5 of 5

The accommodations were great and the beds were so comfortable. We slept like a baby. This was my first fly fishing trip to the Little Red River and it will not be my last. The early morning experience looking up the river of fisherman outlined in the foggy mist was priceless. I will try to get the dam generating times next trip. We had a short window from day break to around noon to fish before the water began to rise. It also rained, but I loved listening to the rain drops on the metal roof over the deck. It was very relaxing. I will be back.

Natural Beauty!

  • 5 of 5

The place was beautiful and perfectly secluded. The house was awesome and equipped with everything to make us feel at home. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck at night and listening to the river flow by. We even put up hammock's in the trees by the river's edge where it was so peaceful. We had a great time fishing. We will definitely recommend this place to others and would love to come back anytime we can.
