Our guest suite is located on beautiful Puget Sound and is a part of our home. We live in a quaint little beachfront community called Edmonds. It is 25 minutes from downtown Seattle. A short 3 minute walk allows you to walk on the beach or catch a ferry ride across Puget Sound and maybe spot an Orca whale. That same 3 minute walk also gets you to the bus or train terminal for travel through out the region.
If you like to Scuba Dive there is an Underwater Dive park 300 yards from your door step,. We have many wonderful restaurants, shops, a movie theater just a few minutes away.
Edmonds is also the home to Travel Guru, Rick Steves.
Our guest suite was built in 2006 and is approximately 500 sq. ft.. It has a comfortable 'beachy' feel with a balcony overlooking Puget Sound and the Ferry coming and going. Cruise ships sail by daily during the cruise season. The sunsets are spectacular in the summer along with the extensive flower garden that was featured in the Edmonds Garden Tour during July 2012. Our home was also featured in the Chef's Tour of Dream Kitchens.
In the summertime, our garden is wonderful to stroll through, sit out front with a cold drink and watch the Ferries and Cruise Ships go by before watching the sun go down with beautiful sunsets. Very Romantic! You can also enjoy a wonderful view from the privacy of your own deck.
There is a mini kitchen equipped with refrigerator, Induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee pot, dishes and silverware. Complimentary water, coffee, tea and apple cider.
Our home also has an elevator for easy access of luggage. Also, for anyone who has trouble climbing stairs.
From May thru September, Edmonds also has a wonderful outdoor Saturday market with lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and many other vendors.
We are also located 30 min. from Woodinville Wine Country, which features 90 wineries and many quaint restaurants.
We have 2 micro-breweries in Edmonds and many others throughout the area.
We have a wonderful arts festival on Fathers Day Weekend. Also the taste of Edmonds 1 weekend in Aug.
There is the Tulalip Casino located 30 min. north of us and and outlet mall right next door to the casino.
Toni and I are retired and love to spend time caring for our house and entertaining. I am an avid golfer while Toni loves to work in our beautiful flower garden. We have six grandchildren and spend lots of time with them. We also love to go out crabbing in Puget Sound and then eating them of course. We travel several times a year and love to cruise.
We love to dine in our town and then take in a movie at the restored Edmonds movie theater. This theater is a classic that was built in the 20's and serves the best popcorn you will ever find.
Al or Toni Young purchased this apartment in 2006
Brandon and his family were great guests. Quiet, clean and very nice.
They had 2 kids and we hardly knew they were here. The kids even made their bunkbeds, I was very shocked. We would love to have the family back anytime.
My husband and I were in Edmonds to visit our grandchildren and wanted accommodations that were close to the quaint downtown district of Edmonds but with views of the sound.
Toni and Al's place excelled in all areas.....it has a beautiful view of the sound, with the Olympic mountains as a backdrop and the ferry dock very conveniently located a block away. The suite was very cozy and had an atmosphere that made you feel instantly at home. The bedroom was large with ample space for clothing. The bed was very comfortable and had just the right amount of quality covers.. Kitchen was well stocked and they went so far as to have a bowl cut up fruit in the fridge! The balcony is a great space to have your morning coffee. Al and Toni are wonderful hosts and it seems a privilege to stay in a suite in their home where the owners takes such pride in the comfort of their guests. Indeed a wonderful cosy suite in a wonderfully appointed home with spectacular views! Thank you....Laura & Jim
Clean, fresh and comfortable place to stay. One of those places where you make it a point to return to because it truely fulfilled its promises.
Our third or fourth stay in this charming room right in the heart of Edmonds. Toni and Al ALWAYS outdo themselves making us feel welcome and taken care of. We can't wait for our next visit!
Could not have been happier with this stay. They have a beautiful apartment for you and they are very friendly people. Will try to stay there again on my next trip to Edmonds.
We had a short stay up to Edmonds. Toni was very sweet and welcoming when we arrived and was happy to show us around their beautiful home. Our room was just as the pictures, with some homemade goodies and snacks ready for our arrival. After we explored the cute little town Al was outside to welcome us while watering his garden. They were very kind and helpful with ideas of places to eat and things to do. We wound up spending our two days visiting and catching up with friends, but not without visiting Pikes Place Market and eating on the pier. :) And I can't forget about the gorgeous sunsets off our balcony overlooking the water.
Al and Toni were fabulous hosts, even lending me their umbrella on a rainy day. They do everything possible to make you feel at home, including providing snacks and fresh coffee cake upon your arrival. This was our second time staying there and we will be back!
