Because it is in a national historic district, with mostly red of brick streets and it has a variety of architectural styles, many of which are bungalow like ours. More than 50% of homes date from 1906 -1939. We can see the bay from our front yard. We are surrounded by parks yet right in the heart of downtown. The neighborhood is very safe and the property is o owner occupied as we live in the house in front.
