I am pleased to offer you this beautiful, updated condo with lovely views for your vacation to Mount Washington Valley!
Please check my other properties (# 3816806 and #3689229) on Homeaway to read what guests have to say about their stay. You and your guests can expect the same high quality experience with Cozy Mountain House II. I live just down the road with my husband, and I make sure that the accommodations are clean and ready for your arrival. I take pride in the amenities I offer, and aim to deliver personal attention to my guests. Above all else, I am pleased to offer the amazing views of the Moat Mountain range from my two condos at Eagle Ridge!
ABOUT THE SPACE:
In decorating this condo, I chose furnishings that reflect my own personal style – a joyful combination of cozy luxury, whimsy and practicality. I want you to relax and consider this your home away from home! It has everything you need for a great vacation -- just bring food, something to read, hiking boots or skis and YOU.
Located in the Eagle Ridge Condominiums & Resort, the condo is a 2nd floor (top level) walk-up on the end of the building (neighbors on one side only) with trees on one side for privacy and gorgeous views from the master bedroom and also from the living room large sliding doors onto the deck. Eagle Ridge has a seasonal large swimming pool with tables and lounge chairs, and two tennis courts of which one is lined for pickleball use, too! Both are just a few minutes walk from the condo, or should you need to, both the swimming pool and tennis courts have a small parking area if you prefer to drive.
For me, it always starts with food...
I know that many of our guests love to cook while on their holiday, so I have outfitted the kitchen with pretty much everything you will need to turn out a great meal! As a former cooking teacher for many years in Maine, I have chosen many of my favorite kitchen tools for your use. If there is something specific you are looking for, just ask, I probably have it, and can make sure it’s in the condo for your stay. Additionally, there is a selection of spices, oil and vinegar, tea and coffee to get you started!
I love how the kitchen turned out with creamy white cabinets, granite counters, double bowl sink, GE appliances including dishwasher and microwave. I also provide a Cuisinart coffee pot, electric tea kettle, toaster, griddle, all pots & pans, cooking utensils, dishes, glasses and flatware, along with a selection of paper goods (paper towels, napkins, plastic wrap, etc) for your use.
Right off of the kitchen, the dining room has a dining table with seating for six (two additional chairs are located in each bedroom). With a dimmable LED chandelier, there is plenty of good light to do a puzzle, homework (yes, kids, I know you have to!), or to dim way down for a romantic barely lit dinner. In season, this is where one of the AC units is located. We take it out off-season.
Relax and renew while you curl up on the sofas in front of the stone gas fireplace with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine and take in the serene and peaceful mountain views. Heavenly! Yes, with a flick of the remote starter, the fireplace starts up. There's seating for 6, a coffee table to play games and a 55-inch HD flat panel TV with Blu-ray player, Netflix, Pandora and a variety of apps (for example, if you have your own Hulu account, you can log in and purchase what you want to watch). And of course, WiFi.
MASTER BEDROOM & BATH:
With views of the mountains, you won't want to get out of bed! Plus, I had installed room darkening shades to make sure you get plenty of shut-eye. The new king-size bed has plenty of pillows, high quality sheets from my favorite makers, a fluffy duvet in winter and a cozy quilt during summer. Good reading lamps on both nightstands. Dresser and good sized closet to store all your stuff. An AC unit and ceiling fan to cool off. En suite full bathroom with tub & shower, toilet and sink with granite counter top, and tile floor contains the basic amenities of nice towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap & shower gel and a blow dryer. Just bring your toothbrush and paste.
SECOND BEDROOM/KID'S ROOM/OTHER GUEST ROOM:
Whatever you want to call it, there is another bedroom with a new queen-size bed and nightstands on each size with good reading lamps, and a set of twin bunk beds. Room darkening shades in here as well, so y'all get your sleep. A dresser and closet to store your stuff. A ceiling fan to stay cooler. Here's what you need to know -- it's adorable and happy. Not too girly, not to boyish. Somewhere in between Garnet Hill and Pottery Barn land.
Located right off the second bedroom and near the dining room, it's small but new and cute. Tub & shower combo, toilet, sink, stone countertops - it also has all of the amenities you will need and a blow dryer. And cozy rugs to keep your tootsies toasty.
Is brand new -- front loading, full-sized and in a closet. Super easy to use. I'll leave you a few detergent pods for some loads while you are here.
The deck is great. First, you have those views. Second, there is a new Weber Q-grill year-round for your use. And third, it's private, sunny and large with four chairs and an umbrella and table. Access is right off the large sliding doors in the living room.
SO WHAT WILL YOU DO WHILE YOU'RE HERE?
Well…you could stay by the fire or on the deck and zone out in front of the mountain views, but it's definitely recommended to get out and explore the area!
Fall Foliage -- October is the month if you want to see how spectacular the White Mountains look in living, gorgeous fall color!
ski, Ski, SKI !!!
The condo is very close to Cranmore, 12-15 minutes to Attitash, 25 to Wildcat and 30 to Bretton Woods. You have your choice!
New Hampshire’s biggest playground, the White Mountain National Forest is just minutes away – offering four seasons of activities nearby – everything from hiking one or more of the 4,000 footers (there’s smaller hills to climb too and as an occasional hiker, I am happy to recommend some favorite trails!), tubing, kayaking and canoeing in the summer, and cycling! There’s great cycling (by both road and mountain bikes) in the Whites (and flatter roads in the Valley). I love to cycle and I'd be happy to hook you up with some of our favorite places to explore on road bikes.
For the little ones, the condo is just a 10 minute drive from StoryLand and 30 minutes from Santa’s Village. StoryLand was one of our (now grown) children’s favorite places to visit – a fun family experience!
The very nearby towns of North Conway, Glen and Jackson offer a friendly mountain vibe, plenty of shopping - both outlet and interesting privately owned shops, good restaurants, fun pubs with lively music on the weekends, and ice cream. I always send recommendations as to where to dine and what to do while you are here. Plus, North Conway is home to the Scenic Railroad -- fun to take because it's an old-timey train but also for their scenic rides during fall foliage, and special events such as the Polar Express.
Or, take the Cog Railroad to the top of Mount Washington (the tallest peak in the Northeast and home to the craziest weather - as in bring your down jacket in July).
Lastly, there are many seasonal festivals and events that you can attend for extra happiness -- I'm thinking the annual Chocolate Fest, nearby Fryeburg Fair, fireworks on July 4th in North Conway -- just ask - I am happy to advise!
SO MUCH TO DO!
Come visit the White Mountains!
