About David

We built this home to share our unique Montana location with outdoor minded people like ourselves, with an appreciation for natural beauty, outdoor activities and healthy lifestyles.

David purchased this house in 2012

Why David chose Glacier Country

Conveniently centrally located between Kalispell, Bigfork and Columbia Falls. Easy access to all of natures outdoor attractions.

What makes this house unique

The seasonal creek runs pretty strong in spring with the mountain snow melt, but settles down to a nice babbling brook in summer. Enjoy your morning coffee and meals on the back deck overlooking this natural water feature.

This home was so beautiful. The creek just of the deck was amazing. I came for work, but it felt like a vacation!

Comfy and beautiful area

  • 4 of 5

We slept so well here! Lovely rental.

We have food and chemical allergies. The kitchen was well appointed with non-coated metal pots and pans, metal cooking utensils, and a glass chopping board which are easily cleaned. The hosts graciously purchased 7th Generation free and clear laundry and dish detergent and other products to help accommodate our allergies. They even installed blinds in the second bedroom to help block the bright sun in the late evening. Unfotunately, the blinds were not opaque enough, but a blanket over the curtain rod did the trick. Likely only an issue in the long days of Summer. Note, wifi was not available during our stay.

The living room is spacios with two full couches, a love seat and a chair with an ottoman. The couch is apparently comfy enough to sleep on according to my oldest, who chose to sleep there one night instead.

The cow in the adjacent pasture was a fun bit of scenery.

Best rental home every!

  • 5 of 5

Awesome experience at this extremely well maintained home. It was so peaceful to return to after visiting Glacier. It was fun to see deer and wild turkeys on the property, too. Loved the deck and stream in early mornings.

Thanks so much for providing this wonderful place to visitors.

Beautiful vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and comfortable vacation home very much! It was a perfect location for visiting both Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake. The house was a great "home away from home," and we would love to stay again in the future! Thank you!

Wonderful place to chill

  • 5 of 5

We - family of 4 w 2 teenagers - spent 6 nights in this beautiful home which is located about 30-45 min south/west of the (West) Glacier N . Very spacious, newly built home with a fully equipped kitchen - which eliminated the need for us to go out for breakfast or dinner. Tastefully furnished and clean 2 bed room place, including spacious master bath and with washer and dryer on site - which was very helpful after long and sweaty day hikes. We appreciated that 2 canisters of bear spray were provided for guest use and peace of mind. The location is remote (like most everything is in Montana), yet easily accessible from the highway and in close proximity to Kalispell, Big Fork and Jewel Basin (a sometimes overlooked jewel for a wonderful day hike). David and Lynne were wonderful hosts, responsive when we had a question and we can highly recommend this property.

Wonderful house - Will Stay there Again!

  • 5 of 5

Rented this house to be near Glacier National Park (about 15 min to West Glacier). I was impressed with how nice and new and clean the house was. The owners built this on their land just to be a short-term rental and they did a wonderful job. David and Lynne were wonderful hosts and even brought us some fresh cherries. The kitchen was more than adequately supplied and we appreciated their access to bear spray! They do request that renters clean the dishes and surfaces prior to leaving if you want to save the cleaning fee. I would recommend this house without reservation.
