We built this home to share our unique Montana location with outdoor minded people like ourselves, with an appreciation for natural beauty, outdoor activities and healthy lifestyles.
David purchased this house in 2012
Conveniently centrally located between Kalispell, Bigfork and Columbia Falls. Easy access to all of natures outdoor attractions.
The seasonal creek runs pretty strong in spring with the mountain snow melt, but settles down to a nice babbling brook in summer. Enjoy your morning coffee and meals on the back deck overlooking this natural water feature.
Awesome experience at this extremely well maintained home. It was so peaceful to return to after visiting Glacier. It was fun to see deer and wild turkeys on the property, too. Loved the deck and stream in early mornings.
Thanks so much for providing this wonderful place to visitors.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and comfortable vacation home very much! It was a perfect location for visiting both Glacier National Park and Flathead Lake. The house was a great "home away from home," and we would love to stay again in the future! Thank you!
We - family of 4 w 2 teenagers - spent 6 nights in this beautiful home which is located about 30-45 min south/west of the (West) Glacier N . Very spacious, newly built home with a fully equipped kitchen - which eliminated the need for us to go out for breakfast or dinner. Tastefully furnished and clean 2 bed room place, including spacious master bath and with washer and dryer on site - which was very helpful after long and sweaty day hikes. We appreciated that 2 canisters of bear spray were provided for guest use and peace of mind. The location is remote (like most everything is in Montana), yet easily accessible from the highway and in close proximity to Kalispell, Big Fork and Jewel Basin (a sometimes overlooked jewel for a wonderful day hike). David and Lynne were wonderful hosts, responsive when we had a question and we can highly recommend this property.
Rented this house to be near Glacier National Park (about 15 min to West Glacier). I was impressed with how nice and new and clean the house was. The owners built this on their land just to be a short-term rental and they did a wonderful job. David and Lynne were wonderful hosts and even brought us some fresh cherries. The kitchen was more than adequately supplied and we appreciated their access to bear spray! They do request that renters clean the dishes and surfaces prior to leaving if you want to save the cleaning fee. I would recommend this house without reservation.
This was an ideal home to stay in for easy access to and from the Park. The home was clean, comfortable and well stocked for cooking and eating. The owner was responsive and helpful with any questions that we had.
We rented this charming home based entirely on its HomeAway listing and reviews and it was even nicer than we had hoped. The house itself is of good size, well kept, and well provisioned. The back deck opens to a brook which was burbling happily and guided us to a peaceful sleep each night. There's a grill (and supplies) for cookouts in the evening. The kitchen offered everything you would need and more - including bear repellent for those hikes away from the roadways. We were greeted with a bag of chips and salsa to welcome us, and the owners maintain a wealth of maps and guidebooks for your review.
The owners were super nice and helpful throughout the rental process and we didn't encounter any problems, though they did provide their cell numbers had we encountered anything.
We also loved the location - 10 miles from Kalispell, 15 from Big Fork, and about half an hour from Glacier. Close enough to be convenient, far enough to get away from the crowds. The location of the home, in the foothills surrounding the Flathead valley, is spectacular.
We have already recommended this lodging to our friends and family, and hope to return ourselves.
Perfect centralized location for access to Northwest Montana outdoor recreation. Just 30 minutes (or less) to Glacier International Airport, Glacier National Park (hiking, breathtaking beautiful drives, boating, kayaking), Flathead Lake (largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, for boating, fishing, swimming), Jewel Basin Wilderness Area (hiking, wild like viewing, amazing wildflowers), Echo Lake (easy access for swimming, boating), Kalispell (shopping, restaurants, art), Whitefish (skiing Big Mountain Resort, hiking, mountain biking, restaurants and shops), Bigfork (Flathead Lake, shops, restaurants, artists.
