Dog-friendly beach house on nature preserve! Includes private hot tub, game room

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 12

This spacious vacation home offers all the luxury and amenities you would expect from a high-end getaway, coupled with a few playful touches that make it extra special. Between soaking in the hot tub, shooting pool in the game room, and roasting marshmallows at the outdoor firepit, you might have trouble convincing your family to leave the house and stroll down to the beautiful sandy beach!

Despite its relaxed and fun-loving atmosphere, this dog-friendly home is also well-appointed with custom light fixtures, polished hardwoods, and modern furnishings. The living area is open and bright, with vaulted ceilings allowing plenty of natural light to pour in through the tall windows. A plush sofa and armchair sit before a cozy electric fireplace, making for a very cozy spot to curl up with a good book.

The open floor plan includes a six-person dining table that sits adjacent to the sunny kitchen. Amateur chefs will find everything they need to prepare gourmet meals, including stainless steel appliances, ample counterspace, and several small appliances (such as a mixer, waffle iron, and blender, just to name a few). The dishwasher makes clean up a breeze, even with a large group of diners.

Above the living area, the open loft makes a great place for the kids to hang out and have their own space. Air hockey and a pool table will make even the rainiest of days entertaining. There is a bedroom upstairs with a full bed, as well as a sleeper sofa and futon in the loft for extra guests. Downstairs, the luxurious master suite has a beautiful queen bed and attached bath with a soaking tub. The third bedroom, also downstairs, has a twin-over-double bunk bed, just right for a second couple with a child.

On warmer days, everyone will surely congregate outdoors. The back patio has a set of table and chairs just waiting to welcome a pitcher of margaritas or bottle of wine for a leisurely afternoon, or gather around the gas grill to flip burgers or listen to the steaks sizzle. On the other side of the deck, a hot tub offers a relaxing place to soak under the stars (or first thing in the morning, since it is your vacation, after all). In the yard, an outdoor fire pit is ringed with hand-cut tree stumps, just begging for a marshmallow roast or ghost story session. The house sits on the edge of a babbling creek and quiet pond that attracts the area wildlife and coastal sea birds, providing a lovely backdrop as you sip your morning coffee on the balcony and space for the kids to explore the great outdoors just beyond your front door.

Large groups will feel right at home here, with a washer/dryer provided to keep up with laundry and Internet access for those who need to stay connected. The house is even dog friendly, so you don't need to leave any family members at home (although a nightly pet fee applies). When you arrive, you'll find even more pleasant surprises, such as three bicycles (two adult, one child) and plenty of games, books, and toys to keep you busy all week.

When you do convince yourself to leave the house, the serene Nedonna Beach is just a short walk away, with a long stretch of sand for sunbathing, seashell hunting, and kite flying. Downtown Rockaway Beach's small but charming collection of shops and restaurants are about three miles south, making this home perfect for those who like a little more peace and quiet while still being close to the amenities and conveniences of town. And even closer to home, plenty of opportunities for fishing, crabbing, clamming, and chartered tours abound in this recreational paradise.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

A nice house with a potential to be great

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed staying in the house: it's comfortable and nicely situated; we had lots of fun playing pool. However, the overall cleanliness of the house was not on the level we are used to - the cups and plates needed extra cleaning, the pots are so scratched they are unusable, the bunk bed's ladder was attached only on one side and therefore not safe for a child, the mixer was not working. Whoever is taking care of the house is apparently not doing the job!

Owner's Response: We are sorry to see there were some irritations during this visit. The bunk bed ladder has been repaired, new pots and pans have been ordered, and housekeeping has been provided with a more specific checklist. Thank you!

Plenty to do at the house let alone being that close to the beach.

Fun birthday weekend stay

  • 5 of 5

The house exceeded our expectations once we opened the garage and discovered the ping pong table! Five adults and two babies had a great two night stay, where there was plenty of room and activities for us to do. The hot tub was hot, the beach was maybe a ten minute walk and very dog friendly, and the house was pretty well stocked. Yea, the bed has a big well in the middle where we lost the baby a few times, and the furniture arrangement didn't completely make sense so we rearranged it so we could set beverages down on tables, and yeah, the patio and furniture out there was super shabby, and yeah, the pool table could use some new sticks that aren't all janky. But we got to introduce our babies to the beach, and the dog had a ball, and we cooked a great seafood boil in the kitchen amongst great people so for that it was all worth it!

Spring break

  • 5 of 5

I brought my teenage boys and several of their friends here for a few days of spring break. There was plenty of room and the boys made them selves very comfortable in the pool room upstairs while the 'grown ups' got some peace downstairs.
