About Cathy Stansbury
Wanting to enjoy my retirement in a smaller town, less traffic and a view of the mountains, I moved to Kalispell from Minnesota, MN. I was a teacher for many years, and after I retired from teaching operated a Bistro for 5 years. Now I am enjoying the freedom to travel and visit my children and grandchildren. Since I am often gone from my home, Home Away gives me the opportunity to rent out my home so it doesn't set vacant when gone.
Cathy Stansbury purchased this Townhome in 2006

A home away from home
A very peaceful and quiet location close to restaurants, stores, Lone Pine State Park, Whitefish and Glacier National Park. Easy access to the main highways and roads. The unit was very clean and nicely furnished with washer and dryer, dishwasher, kitchen supplies including coffee, tea, spices. It is perfect for 1-2 people and the bed was very comfortable.
Very clean, spacious, all the amenities and located within the city but with a country flair
Found the place easily with clear instruction from owner. Neat and clean with all the amenities, and comfortable queen side bed. Coffee, and other cooking implements on hand if needed, but we were located to many restaurants in the area, and ate out most of the time. Safe neighbourhood, and lots of walks available in area. We will be back on our next trip down.
Cute Quiet Clean
This property was all the above, cute, quiet and clean. The 3 things we really appreciate. Nice furnishings, feels like a real home that you can be comfortable in. It is the perfect size for 2 people. If you are bikers, it is 2 blocks from the major bike trails.
Perfect, little home away from home.
This was a perfect home base from which to visit my family. It was stylishly appointed, clean, neat and in a nice and convenient neighborhood. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Review of Cathy's home in Kalispell
A no-frills place, but definitely quiet, clean and very comfortable. Good value for the price. Cathy was very helpful during the stay.
GREAT BASE FOR GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
You could stay closer to Glacier, but you will pay a lot more. This nice little place is better than a hotel room. Kitchen and living area is open an feels big. Bedroom is larger than it looks in picture. Having washer and dryer available was nice. Quiet area. Several restaurants close.
This is not a fancy neighborhood, but it is quiet and I felt very safe, especially with the Sheriff parked across the street and the owner right behind me. We were out all day exploring and came in for evening and night.
Sykes Restaurant was GREAT for breakfast. Best darn breakfast, nicest people and cleaner than McDonalds. We ate there once and knew it was our breakfast spot. Best bacon I think I have ever had. Opens at 7 am. Montana Club real close and very good also.
Owner nice , we only talked on phone once and communicated by text after that. She really tries to give you your privacy and stays away. Also she had laundry soap there for your use. There was also food in the fridge and freezer. When you go to leave, you basically just leave. She does the dishes, washes the towels and takes out the garbage. If you have stayed in VRBO before you know a lot require you to do those things. If I was staying in Kalispell again, would not hesitate to stay here.
Kalispell sits between Whitefish and Big Fork, quaint little towns which are destination places for tourists. They have restaurants with great food, quaint little shops with unique items, and you can often catch a play with Broadway actors. Big Fork is on the Flathead River and is great for fishing, and all water activities. Whitefish has a great beach for swimming and other water activities. About 15 minutes from your home is a dock where you can bring the canoe for a fun 1 hour relaxing trip down the Flathead River. And of course, Glacier National Park is the main reason you are in the area. The Western Entrance is 35 minutes from your home. There is great fly fishing and also guided tours for fishing. Take the Red Bus up the Sun Road for the most spectacular scenery you will see any where, often spotting eagles souring above your open bus or bears feeding on berries along the roadside. There are numerous hiking trails with different degrees of difficulty from the leisure walk to trails with dangerous overhangs and at higher altitudes. Many of these trails lead you to beautiful lakes within the park. Just two blocks from your home you can find a biking path, one of 782 found in Kalispell. You will find everything you need in your short term home that will direct you to the many recreational areas that are available near you and everything you would find in your own home to make your stay relaxing and comfy.
