Brian Nunn purchased this cabin in 2012
Very spacious, private and convenient to North Georgia lakes and towns. Only 1 1/2 hour drive from Atlanta. Fun recreation area in basement. Purchased and refurbished in 2012+. Less than 15 minutes to Clayton.
Enjoy the fresh air of the Georgia mountains. Stay in touch as much as you like with directv, dsl and excellent cell phone signals. Excellent water pressure and 80 gallon hot water heater. Excellent air conditioner and excellent propane furnace central air for entire house. Two 60' porches - one overlooking North Georgia mountains, one covered. Golf (at The Orchard) about 15 minutes. Small lake beach and tennis about 5 minutes - located at Tallulah Gorge State Park on Terrora Circle. Convenient to highway and accessible with any car. We have a 5 person tent set up as an additional option for kids. When it rains the house is full of available activities. Good bird watching. Plentiful parking. Modern appliances. Good sports viewing options with multiple HD TVs. Kitchen has everything you need. Comfy beds, comfy linens, comfy pillows, etc. We are constantly trying to improve quality and comfort of rental house.
The first thing I thought upon entering the cabin was 'This place is a lot nicer than the pictures!'. After picking rooms (the master suite is amazing, btw), my friends and I settled in to games of ping pong, pool, hiking the nearby Talullah Gorge, cooking meals in the modern kitchen, relaxing in the hottub, and even some great star-gazing. Since we stayed here over New Years', we we able to watch a few college football games on the gigantic projection tv in the downstairs rec-room. Although we didn't get the chance to try, life-size Mario-Kart or Smash-Brothers or Rock-Band on the projection tv would be truly amazing! Long story short, my friends and I barely scratched the surface of the possbilies for things to do here. Tons of things for everybody to do and conveniently located for traveling up from Atlanta, this place has it all!
My family really enjoyed staying at the property. The game room and media room was a hit; especially for our teenagers. The house was very spacious.
A group of 12 of us stayed at this property and it was very nice. The only complaint I would have is, the tvs are hard to opperate. There are 3 remotes for one tv. Otherwise very well stocked and a beautiful piece of property
Recently rented out this Lakemont home with a group of 8 friends. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable, spacious place for our weekend away. The creature comforts of the cabin and the beauty of the surroundings made it pretty hard to find any reason to leave the premises. Cannot recommend this property enough!
Went up in Septemeber for two days of golfing with some old friends. What a great house. it is somewhat secluded so no close nighbors, has all the amenities you need and 8 beds as well! Plenty of room. We had rain at night, thus could use the covered porch if needed to get outside. It was also very convenient to the highway (441) so easily accessible. The owner was very helpful as well. I highly recommend.
My family and another recently returned from a long weekend at this Lakemont property. I had several email exchanges with the owner during the reservation process. The owner quickly responded to those inquiries. Upon arrival I did have to call the owner to answer a question regarding the furnace and he was very helpful and quickly sorted out the issue.
The house itself is very comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 9 people. Given its easy access from the main Highway it is surprisingly private and quiet. The house is exactly as described and pictured by the owner.
The lower level is perfect for kids - two bedrooms, bathroom, large comfortable seating area with TV and game consoles, and the game room with pool and ping pong tables.
We very much enjoyed the weekend.
Very close to Tallulah Gorge State Park and the Jane Hurt Yarn Interpretive Center.
