Great place-quiet and beautiful!
Cammy and Michael’s Perry Creek home was perfect for our weekend getaway for the El Dorado Wine Passport weekend! We were 4 couples and we each got our own bedroom. Two rooms had 2 twins that they converted into king sized beds. We were all comfortable. The kitchen was roomy and we were able to cook meals easily. They had the necessary cookware and utensils. We used their BBQ grill and sat outside for a couple of meals. The bonus was the horseshoe pit! We had beer/wine while playing in the evenings! The location is close to many wineries in the southern county, and around 20 min from downtown Placerville. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful! On my morning walk, I saw deer and other small critters. Check-in and check-out directions were very clear and easy. They even surprised us with a bottle of wine from the area...it was delicious! We had a fabulous time!!
Comfortable quiet home amongst the pines and vines
If you want to get away from the city and spend some greatly needed relaxing time with a few friends then this is your place. Roomy, fully stocked kitchen, nicely decorated living space with all the amenities of home leave nothing to be desired. Plenty of DVD movies and a selection of board games are available for use during your stay. Local wineries are just a stones throw away pouring some fine vintages for your pleasure. A wonderful place to vacation yet feels as if you are not far away from home, or perhaps wish that this was your home.
Five Stars All The Way
Comfortable, spacious and homey. Everything you need is here. Very clean, with beautiful views out every window. The home is lovely and very well equipped. If you want peace and quiet this is the place. Enjoy the wild life (turkeys, deer and lots of birds!) I'd give this retreat 10 star if I could.
The pleasure is ours ... we enjoyed having you stay. You take sure good care our our house and are the nicest people. Please come back to stay at the Perry Creek Retreat.
Great place to un"wine"d with friends after a great day in wine country. ..Cammy was fabulous, accommodating and so great to work with!
Perfect place for a special weekend
We are four grown children of a now-94 year old Dad who grew up in Placerville and wanted to return for a visit. We gathered from different parts of California and made our way to Fair Play -- a perfect headquarters for our two night visit. Peaceful location and a comfortable home with large rooms and plenty of space. The house was spotlessly clean and had a well equipped kitchen. We spread out, enjoyed the patio and the home and had a magical time. Traipsed the beautiful area and nearby towns by day and relaxed by night. Owner Cammy was amazing -- checking in ahead of time, trading names and stories of people my Dad might have known (he did!) and taking a personal interest in us. Thank you for a most memorable weekend.
Great Place for a quiet getaway
Fair Play was a great place for four girlfriends to spend some time wine tasting and chilling out. We spent 3 nights at Perry Creek Retreat and each of us having our own rooms was great. The kitchen was a great asset to fix breakfast and a couple of other meals. We would definitely go again. Really clean and well taken care of. Wine tasting in that area was really nice as they didn't charge for wineries in El Dorado country and were all really nice.
