A place of inspiration in this increasingly hectic world. In mid Portugal, near Tabua, amidst a landscape of olive trees, Sarah and Bart bought a timeless house of inspiration and beauty, a house full of rooms to bloom. They both work as coaches and turned this house into a place where people can come to relax and get inspiration for new projects.
The house where time stands still is located in the charming parish of Vila Nova de Oliveirinha, municipality of Tabua. The design of the house which sleeps six people, is based upon the concept of a retreat. There are three nicely decorated and comfortable bedrooms, a bathroom, a large dining room and kitchen with typical Portuguese tiles next to a big garden surrounded by olive plantations.
It is the perfect place for a family escape in the summertime, ideal for a group of friends looking for an authentic stay in a small Portuguese village near the Serra da Estrela. This magnificent mountain range in central Portugal is spectacular. Not only is it named after the mainland’s highest peak, Star Mountain, it’s also the largest protected area in the country and Portugal’s only ski resort.
In short, the house is the perfect place to start hiking through the Serra da Estrela or swimming in Loriga River Beach, voted one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal. You can organise citytrips, for example, to Coimbra, the beautiful city that hosts the oldest academic institution in the Portuguese-speaking world or take horse riding sessions in Medoes. But you can also harvest olives or take yoga lessons near Tabua. There is plenty of room… to bloom.
