We felt very lucky to see the beautiful views upon arrival because we had booked late - I think we just got lucky and I will be sure to reserve this one again, and farther in advance. We kayaked and paddle boated and motor boated all weekend. It was a wonderful experience! Dean and Karen made sure everything went smoothly.
Our return trip to the Lake Wissota Cabin did not disappoint. The cabin was clean and spacious for two adults and two active boys. My boys fished off the dock each evening and never came up empty handed. The view from the deck in the morning with a hot cup of coffee was the perfect way to start each day. We look forward to next years vacation already.
This is a difficult review to write, because there is a part of me that would like to keep this property a secret, just for my own personal use. The Lake Wissota Cabin was the perfect property for our family vacation that included our adult children and our granddaughter. We opted to include the kayaks and peddle boat in our rental and had a wonderful time exploring the lake. There were 5 adults and 1 child in our group and the cabin was large enough for us to be comfortable.
The house was bright airy and well equipped and Karen and Dean were attentive hosts. We loved the outside deck space and the quiet neighborhood. Our 7 year old granddaughter declared this "the best vacation ever" so we are already planning a return visit next summer.
Everything was as advertised and better. Excellent attention from the owners. Would use again.
We had a great 3 night stay with 3 adults and 3 children. The cabin was clean and had plenty of space. The trundle bed was perfect for kids. The deck was awesome, great seating, comfy chairs and table and the gas grill was convenient. The fishing was slow but we caught a 4 pound walleye and enough crappies for a couple of fish fry's! My parents are in their 70's and the steps were challenging, but no problem for the kids and younger folks!
Would stay again.
Very clean, quiet. Easy to use and access, close to Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire. Would use again!
There are multiple winery tours and, of course, the famous Leinenkugels Brewery Tour. Bring your own boat for your favorite water activities! Many fine golf courses within a twenty minute drive. Chippewa Falls zoo in famous Irvine Park is a perfect attraction for the kids. Paul Bunyan's children's museum is about 20 minutes away in Eau Claire. Ray's Beach is just a quick drive to Hwy X, across from LaGrander's summer drive-in, where you can eat ice cream cones or root beer floats in one of several white painted gazebos!
