January 2016 Ski Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a large group of family and friends stay in the home for six nights. The home was very clean and tidy and wonderfully appointed, as you can see in the photos.

The home has seven total bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: King bed with ensuite, private bathroom, upstairs.

Bedroom 2: Queen bed with ensuite, private bathroom, upstairs.

Bedroom 3: King bed with ensuite, private bathroom, upstairs.

Bedroom 4: King bed with ensuite, private bathroom, main floor.

Bedroom 5: King bed with ensuite bathroom, downstairs. Bathroom has a shared door to hallway.

Bedroom 6: Bunkroom with four queen beds, downstairs. Adjacent to Bedroom 5 and its shared bathroom.

Bedroom 7: Bunkroom with four queen beds, downstairs. Adjacent to, but not connected to a hall bathroom.

Bonus Sleeping area: Two twin beds (bunked), downstairs in the community area (TV/pool table).

You could sleep 28 people in beds in this house, which is pretty amazing. However, I imagine the bunkrooms would be a little crowded and stuffy, and there isn't much room for luggage in the bunkrooms. Kids would probably love it. We also found that some of the rooms lacked drawer space, so some of us ended up using our suitcases all week, which was fine. There was plenty of closet space in most rooms.

The kitchen was spacious and never seemed crowded. Between the large fridge/freezer in the kitchen and the mini-fridge downstairs, we were able to refrigerate all of our cold items that we had bought for 20 people for six days. There isn't much of a pantry, but the island does have some empty cabinet space, as does the buffet table. The empty cabinets above the refrigerator were quite difficult to reach. There are two crock-pots, an electric griddle, double gas ovens and a six burner gas range with a gas griddle built in. We used the large stock pots to cook a huge batch of chili for our group. The kitchen was well stocked, but make sure to bring your own paper products, foil, sandwich baggies, etc.

Miscellaneous: The owner graciously provided a high-chair and a portable crib. The heated driveway is essential during snowy weather. The garage is huge, easily fitting two large vans. The house is a very short walk (~400 feet) to the base of the Lumberjack lift and Roundabout ski run. TVs are internet enabled (Netflix, etc.), but no DVR. HUGE TV in theater room. Hot tub was warm and clean. Three sets of washer/dryers were nice, BYO detergent. Overall, a great place!

Wonderful vacation and home

  • 5 of 5

First of all, I'd like to thank you for your hospitality, you're very easy to work with, answered anything we had questions on. With all the amenities we needed, gorgeous views, something for everyone, from hot tub, to pool table, we all had a wonderful time.

We were so looking forward to our trip, but your home and the location made it even better! Thanks again, Tracy!

Beautiful Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful family stay at the Timbers which made us feel that we were truly in the Colorado Rockes. With 7 bedrooms, our family of 4 daughters and their families enjoyed all their own space and the grandchildren loved the bunk rooms. We loved family time in the gourmet kitchen where we prepared our meals. The men got plenty of use of the Billard room and us girls loved the hot tub. We even got to see our Packers win in the theater room. We love the hikes up the Mt to beautiful trails. We spent a day at Vail, a short distance away.

We would love to make this a family tradition!

Thanks to Tracey, who was wonderful to work with.

Copper Wedding Lodge

  • 5 of 5

Our trip was amazing and having a vacation home as beautiful as this topped it off. We got married at Solitude Station (Copper mountain top) and had a 6 day family wedding trip. The house was a great place to unwind after biking the Vail pass, hiking Loveland Pass, zip-lining in Vail, whitewater rafting the Blue, shopping Breck, and various evening dinners (just a fraction of the things we accomplished). We did cook in the home a few times which was very enjoyable as well.

The location is fantastic as Copper Village is right down the road. Breckenridge and Vail are 30/40 minute drive times. The home has 7 bathrooms, 5 master suites, 2 bunk room (having a total of 8 queen beds), and 2 additional smaller beds in a bunk near the lower level entertainment area. The fridge was ample for our stay with a very large refrigerator on the main floor and a smaller beverage fridge on the lower level. We did not utilize the movie room as we stayed outdoors most of the time but some chose to take advantage of the hot tub and billiards table.

The owners are truly amazing, very friendly, and accommodating people. Thanks again Tracy and Zach!

Incredible Location: Best ever 4-family ski vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Tracy & Zach were excellent hosts. We were only the 2nd group to stay in the brand new home, and we had a couple snafus, but they were all repaired or addressed immediately. As an avid snowboarder, I am sensitive to locations for ease of getting onto and off the mountain. This house hits the spot. 20 yard walk across the street from the top of the driveway, and you are snapping in to load the Lumberjack lift, or skiing down. Further, if you have kids that are beginners/intermediates, the Lumberjack lift is wonderful for them to do laps and gain independence on the mountain. I was able to ride without worrying where my kids were and where we were meeting next. The kids were able to go to and from the house independently for lunch or check-in. Peace of mind for the adults on the mountain and otherwise at this house, is priceless for me. This was the first time in my life of (many) ski trips, where the home location was so good, that I did not spend ONE DIME at the mountain concessions. All meals and snacks were easy to do at the house, relax, warm up, and jump right back on the mountain. It is on the easy side of the hill at Copper, which suits most of our group. The experts have to make their way to the more difficult terrain, but a small sacrifice for comfort and peace of mind.

The home itself is perfectly furnished, well equipped. Lots of bunks for all the kids, and proper bedrooms for all the adults and older kids. We were 17 ppl, and we had bunks to spare! 3 sets of washing machines makes laundry a breeze, and the dining table was able to fit everyone!

The mountain services to the house (bus/taxi) make it easy to get around, and we only needed one truck to service our group locally, along with shuttles/limo to Denver airport.

As a final nod to this home, we have already booked it for next year! It was that good.

Highly recommend for groups with numbers to fill the rooms!
