About Lori White
WELCOME to the HIGH COUNTRY!!!
Lori White purchased this Condo in 2012
Why Lori White chose Historic District
On our many trips to Breckenridge, we rented various condos thru VRBO. We found ourselves coming back to the Longbranch complex repeatly for the spacious units and reserved, heated, underground parking space. We are thrilled to finally purchase our own condo, and would love to share it with you!

Beautiful condo and convenient location to all Breckenridge has to offer!
Our family had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed skiing, shopping, Christmas lights, New Year’s Eve fireworks, and spending time together cooking, playing games and watching movies by the fireplace.
I'm happy you were able to enjoy the holiday season in Breckenridge!
Enjoyed our stay
The condo was in an excellent location for our purposes. Just a two block walk to main street. It was comfortable. The owner was very accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Breckenridge.
Comfortable Condo that's just a short walk to downtown
It's a great place to stay. One thing I would recommend is providing soap for the showers. Typically places provide the small bar soap. We bring everything else we need but didn't think we'd have to bring our own soap. We ended up using the Liquid Soap from the vanity.
Glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for letting me know about the soap. I will talk to my cleaning service and make sure this doesn't happen again.
THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY!
We contacted the owner about renting her condo for the month of July, as we have stayed in Breckenridge for the last 2 years during July. After agreeing on the price, we thought everything was confirmed. Several months later, Lori contacted us and said since one of the weeks (4th of July) was a premium week, she would have to charge us $500 more. We were shocked, but by this time, we were afraid to start our search over, as many condo’s were already rented. Not wanting to pay $500 more, she did allow us to come on July 8th. This was very disappointing, as we enjoy the celebrations in the area, and now had to miss them.
We contacted Lori a few weeks before our stay to find out about the bbq grill, as we love to grill in the summertime. She said, “Grills are not allowed in the building.” We thought it odd that the building did not allow bbq grills. After we arrived, we started noticing all of the bbq grills on decks, we counted 18, that we could see. In the elevator, there is a sign posted that says,” no charcoal grills,” but apparently gas grills are acceptable. I do not know why she just didn’t tell us that she didn’t allow grills, not that they were not allowed in the building, we felt like this was dishonest.
The temperature in the mountains is very cool, that is why we like to go there. However, the temperature in this condo is very HOT! I wondered why I would see people with the front door of their condo propped open until I figured out, it was to get a cross breeze. There is absolutely no air that gets into this unit. Thankfully she had fans to use at night or I don’t think we would have slept at all.
Another interesting fact about this condo that you might like to know about is the noise. If you stay here during warm weather & have the window or patio door open, you will feel like the street noise from cars, motorcycles, busses, the trash trucks, construction vehicles are driving right through the living room. The street is probably 20 feet away, & this condo is on the bus line, & the trash dumpster is right outside the unit. (It comes twice a week) I tried to sit on the patio & read, & had to come inside, & it is impossible to carry on a phone conversation on the deck.
I thought I was going to have a nice view of the mountains, as the site showed the view from Wellington. It is the view from Wellington, if you are standing in the middle of the street, but not from the condo.
We too had trouble with the kitchen outlet,
I was very disappointed to see this review. I bent over backwards to accommodate this guest. We exchanged emails about a month long stay, but the July 4th holiday was never mentioned. Then when the VRBO booking came in, he requested starting July 1st. I told him the VERY REASONABLE 30 day booking rate ) would not include the premium week of July 4th. He said that was not a problem he would start his stay on July 8th. I am shocked to see that now it seemed to be a problem. This is an excerpt from his email to me "Lori-Just talked to the family in Denver and the dates of July 8 to Aug 9, 2017 will be great. They could not come on the 4th anyway because it falls on Tuesday". This guest also failed to note that there was a lightning strike to the building and a kitchen outlet was not functioning. I had an electrician out the next day to fix the problem after he contacted me. Or the fact that he called with a water leak under the kitchen sink. I had a plumber out (overtime on Saturday) that let me know so much food was stuffed down the garbage disposal that it caused an issue. My mountain view picture clearly states "view down Wellington Street". Electric grills are the only HOA approved grills allowed in this complex. If other units choose not to follow the HOA rules, I can't help that. July was an unseasonably warm month and I provide fans for my guests just for this reason. This complex is located "in town", off Main Street as stated in the ad. If you expected the quiet solitude of the mountains, you should not have chosen to stay right off Main Street. I have never received such complaints in the years I have owned this condo. We all know there all people that must complain about everything in life. Sadly, I have my first guest that appears to be one of these people. I should have had an inkling when he contacted me about the fires in Breck in early July. He thought this would be a health hazard and I offered him a full refund if he chose not to come. As stated, I bent over backwards for this guest. I do find it interesting that he left a nice note in my condo guest book of the fun things his family did while staying in Breckenridge. If future guests have any questions about my condo, I will be glad to answer any and all questions. If this guest feels I was dishonest about the grill, I will gladly send the HOA rules. We take great pride in offering a comfortable and reasonably price vacation to our guests.
Nice Unit & everything you need to have a comfortable stay
We had a wonderful visit to brekenridge! Your unit was very comfortable and furnished well. The only thing I had an issue with was trying to use the toaster and coffee pot. The kitchen outlet didn't seem to work. We had to plug those items in at the dining room outlet.
Glad you enjoyed your stay! Seems there was a lightning strike on the building right before your stay. I was more fortunate than others in the building, as it only affected one outlet in my condo. It has been repaired and I had a surge protector added to my electrical panel to prevent future problems. Hope to see you back in the future.
Great place, great location!
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Loved that it was walking distance to town, very convenient.
So glad you enjoyed your stay in Breckenridge. Hope to see you back again in the near future!
