About Mike Metivier
I'm an avid traveler but always enjoy returning home to Tenants Harbor and my home on the peninsula. In 2006-07 I built the house with the help of local friends and contractors. The idea was to create a space that was welcoming in all seasons, with views from as many spaces as possible, and a layout that made visits from friends easy and comfortable.
Mike Metivier purchased this House in 2007
Why Mike Metivier chose Saint George
I spent summers in Tenants Harbor (from upstate NY) and we enjoyed it so much that now most of my immediate family has settled in the area. The location of the property is unique in that it is surrounded by water on three sides. With the exception of the small guestroom, all windows have a water view. It's a special place: very relaxing but also great for entertaining.

Absolutely beautiful house and location
Beautiful house with everything you need to have a wonderful stay. There is a view from every window and lots of windows.
Beautiful location!! Early October stay
We enjoyed the location of this property, it was quiet and very private. We loved watching the tides moving in/out and sitting out on the point taking in the beauty of it all. There were 4 in our party, but this property was plenty big for a larger group; lots of space and all of the comforts of home. Things were clean and well maintained which always makes for a pleasant stay. Proximity to Rockland, Rockport, Camden and other area sites is a quick drive and easily traveled for this early October visit. We would return in a heartbeat!! Thank you Mike!!
Beautiful setting. Comfortable, lovely home. Extremely well tended and well equipped. A little hard to find so pay close attention to the details of directions.
Lovely home in an idyllic setting. Perfect for 'getting away'.
This home in St. George was the perfect place for a week vacation on the rugged coast of Maine. It was quiet, peaceful & serene and the light filled house was perfect for relaxing in the mornings, cooking together & grilling on the deck. The location was great, super close to lots of great lobster shacks, lighthouses, etc. Mike was a great host and was very responsive and quick to act on a couple of issues that came up during our stay.
Great stay. Beautiful super quiet setting and very comfortable house.
We spent a week here with our two kids-ages 10
Months and 2.5 years. The house was very accommodating and easy for kids. The layout was great and we enjoyed long lazy mornings on the expansive porch and my children and husband loved the hammock. The beds were quite comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The owner was very responsive with our questions. We would book again without hesitation.
Great house for family! Pretty and fun setting. The owner most gracious and helpful
Totally awesome. Great quiet and private place to explore parts of Maine coast not crowded!
Pick up some lobsters and enjoy them on the deck while looking at the water view. Catch the boat to Monhegan Island from the end of the peninsula and look for puffins. Go clamming in the tidal flats at low tide or go for a paddle (3 kayaks included with the house) at high tide, without leaving the property. Go blueberry or blackberry picking. Enjoy a sunset sail out of Camden or live music in Rockland. This is Andrew Wyeth country...experience the subjects of his work all around you and then see his work at the Farnsworth Museum. Go antiquing down country roads. Shop for fresh produce at a local farmers market. Go for a scenic bike ride. Fish for squid off the pier in Port Clyde. Explore a nature trail and seek out the fairie houses unique to the area. Hike Mt. Battie and then cool off with a swim in Megunticook Lake. See an independent film at the Theater in Rockland. Play golf. The list is long...
