The location is very convenient and is within 15 miles of Pigeon Forge and Douglas Lake and 20 miles to Gatlinburg. We will provide you with maps and tips to help you navigate the back roads and bypasses so you don’t spend your vacation time in the notorious Pigeon Forge traffic.

Our family has enjoyed visiting the Smokies for years. We hope you will come to love the area as much as we have over the years. Easy access, a beautiful view and luxury accommodations sets up for the perfect Smoky Mountain getaway.

The following amenities are found in ‘A View For You’:

Cool off at the resort’s swimming pool just down the hill.

There are many activities close by, such as, several golf courses (Sevierville Golf Club is within 3 miles) or Douglas Lake is a few miles away (approx. 15 miles) if you wish to go fishing or boating. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg also offer hundreds of attractions for all age groups and interests, including Dollywood, home of the world’s first winged rollercoaster, which makes this cabin a wonderful choice for your Smoky Mountain get-a-way. Visit the new Hatfield and McCoy show to see the entertainment version of the famous family feud. The 'Titanic' exhibition is a must see as well. The Dixie Stampede dinner show can be enjoyed by the entire family. Along with Dollywood there are water parks, mini golf, NASCAR Speed Park, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting, ice skating, snow skiing and musical theaters to explore and enjoy. For the historian and naturalist in the group there is historic Cades Cove with its many Bear sightings and other wildlife, hiking trails leading to many gorgeous water falls, or visit the Arts & Craft communities to discover the many treasures from the Smokies. The list of restaurants to be enjoyed is remarkable. At the end of a long day of exploring, shopping and adventuring you will be glad you have a peaceful, fully appointed cabin to come back to for relaxation and comfort.

We have also received an 'Excellent' rating!

Here is just one of the many reviews we've received from guests staying at our cabin; 'The cabin was exactly what we were hoping for and more. It had everything we needed and the deck was a nice quiet place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. It was immaculately clean and so homey. Sometimes a rental can feel like just that, but with all the personal touches and warm decorating we felt like we had borrowed a friends cabin! There were lots of great suggestions for things to try. We are definitely hoping to rent this cabin again.'

About Keith or Tammy Smith

We are an active family of four who have vacationed in the Smoky Mountain area for many years. Keith and Tammy honeymooned over 20 years ago in the area and decided at that time that some day we would own our own cabin in the mountains. Owning ‘A View For You’ is truly a dream come true.

We currently live in Buckner, Ky, but plan to retire to the Sevierville, TN area in a few years. Although we all have varied hobbies and interests, our trips to the Smokies always end up with great family memories and some new adventure.

Keith or Tammy Smith purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Keith or Tammy Smith chose Sevierville

We chose this specific cabin for two main reasons, the view and the location. We found that the central location allows us to get to the cabin very easily and we are only minutes from anywhere we want to be. Typically, it is difficult to find a mountain view cabin that has such easy access.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is only steps away from the parking area, however, when on the back side of the cabin it is peaceful and tranquil while looking over the mountains and forest. The large loft enables the kids to have their own area to play while the adults can relax in the private hot tub or relax on the first level.

Cabin was clean and had eveything we needed.

  • 4 of 5

Loved the hot tub and porch. Trees blocked view though. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Washer was noisy so be sure to use with that in mind. Close to attractions.

Great choice/great experience

  • 4 of 5

Good location, not far from attractions yet nestled away.Cabin had everything we needed for 3 generations.Weather called for rain all week so we planned accordingly.Although it didn't, we never used the pool because had so much to do.Kid's favorite was Wonder Works and Ripley's Aquarium.Cabin is well layed out, well stocked and lots of info to get you thru your stay.Very comfortable and loft is great xtra space for kids to spread out since no real outdoor space.Kids were too young for the arcade and video games but had fun.As others stated washer very loud so plan loads accordingly.Kitchen has every gadget you need.Heavy dishware, but under microwave is Corelleware which works better for little ones.Would suggest some plastic cups be added for kids.Lots of pans but not matching lids.Take zip lock or storage containers and a peeler and you should be good.Lots of towels and pillows.Kitchen could use 2nd set.But nice that all are quality towels.Bathrooms laid out well for plus size person.Being plus sized loved the great glider on the deck instead of only skinny rockers.I couldn't sleep in the beds, old bones. But rest slept well. Also plenty of seats at kitchen table. Only glitches we really had was on arrival did a walk thru, found couple minor things broken and advised owners.Learned they were aware.Would be nice be advised or just fix all. There was info about one.Found more as stay continued.Mid stay my 4 yr old grandson held on to deck rail which gave way and we found many with nails sticking out and some loose. We blocked them and sent text to owners. Was disappointed to be told to keep gr'son away from rails.Expected someone would be sent to repair as we all lean on rails and assume is safe.Day later had scrappy raccoon attacking the trashcan we used to block the rails and cause one to become totally pushed away.My fears of being held responsible were unfounded. My deposit was returned without issue.I just feel all should be aware the deck rail is not as safe as is may appear. The gate on the deck also great to keep little ones enclosed.Deck big enough for small bikes, just watch balls/toys may bounce over rail and is long way down to recoup them.My granddaughter loved all the lizards on the deck and flower beds. Her highlight. This was my first time renting vacation home.I had a lot of questions and went thru a lot of choices.Keith and Tammy were great and very patient, no matter how many emails I sent while trying to decide.Others were not.

Owner's Response: Hi there, I'd like to address two points; first, we know the washer is loud. I've had service technicians out to look at it and it appears to be that particular model that is noisy. A replacement knob was obtained and placed back on the dryer from a prior guest breaking the end off of the knob which was left before your stay. Our house keeping staff did go by and checked on the loose baluster rails. Two (2) were reattached. In the text you sent that your grandson was leaning on the rails, I advised to not let him lean on the rails. Those rails are not intended to be leaned on. They are merely there to stop an inadvertent stumble. My heart sunk at the thought of your grandson falling 50 feet because he was leaning on the baluster's. Please understand that over time nails will loosen from aging wood. With a log cabin home, it's impossible to go back month after month and check every nail used in construction. We did have a metal potato peeler at one time, but what is usually the case, our kitchen items go missing or are broken without being reported. The peeler was replaced last weekend while I was there performing maintenance. You would be shocked at what disappears out of a rental unit! Raccoons and squirrels do like to visit. So long as our local Bear stays off the porch, I'm okay with it! Thank you for the kind words regarding the number of texts we answered. We always want guests to have the best experience possible, which means having good communications.
