About Vacasa, OR - Central Oregon Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

<br>

<br>

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

<br>

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

The property is outdated and in need of TLC

  • 1 of 5

The property is worn down. The carpet, sofas, comforters and even a/c are in need of replacement. The a/c, was never powerful enough to keep the temperature below mid seventies. Not to mention the hassle of having to manually open the garage. The front door had no real lock besides the keypad on the outside of the door leaving easy acess to anyone who passes. On the note of safety issues, the house had only one smoke detector in the kitchen area despite the fact that it there is a high fire warning in that area this time of year. The upstairs toilet flush knob was broken so it was a hassle to use, as well as the sink in that bathroom which came off multiple times. It was also impossible to use the up and downstairs showers without one of them running cold. This house is overpriced and in major need of TLC

Outdated

The property location is perfect. Near to trails, park and a 15 minutes bike ride to the pool.

However, the property is in need of updating and TLC. The hook in the toilet tank kept coming up so we had to manually flush it, the knob of the sink came off so we had to fix it. The A/C did not cool the house to a level of a comfort. The carpet, sofas, comforters are so old that there's a smell that you can't shake. And finally, the house felt unsafe. I would expect Vacasa to do a better job with Quality Control . We felt unsafe. The front door opens with a keyless code. Once in the house, there isn't a safety lock to ensure that someone who knows the code (previous renters, etc..) can't come in. Not to mention, only the kitchen had a smoke detector.

Needless to say, my family and I will not be returning to this property.

This house is a dump and should not be rented

  • 1 of 5

Problems with the house included, among others:

The lack of air conditioning. *We disagree about whether the lack of A/C was adequately advertised on HomeAway. We maintain that such a massive issue should have been thoroughly raised prior to a late-July rental, and not buried in fine print easily overlooked.

Five of the six of the bikes in the garage were either completely broken or in some state of disrepair making them unridable. This included broken pedals, missing/broken seat, bent frames, missing kick stands, broken rims, flat tires, and bent handlebars.

The unit was crawling with carpenter ants. Fortunately, no one was bitten but worrying about ant bites on the children was quite stressful.

Insufficient fans to cool the upper floor. The temperature never got below 80 degrees in the upstairs bedrooms, largely because...

... Many of the windows were missing their screens, making it impossible to open windows at night to cool the house.

The grill on the porch was not clean when we arrived.

The dryer did not work properly.

The shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom was moldy and smelled of urine.

Every game and puzzle was missing at least one piece.

There was garbage and trash on the grounds outside the home when we arrived.

Our family did the best we could under the circumstances, and we appreciated the local Vacasa team's responsiveness. However, the problems with this rental house were far too numerous and onerous for us to enjoy our vacation. We would strongly advise others against renting it in the future. We certainly will not return.

1 Camas Lane is a dump and you should not stay there

Good but needs maintenance

  • 2 of 5

Overall it looks OK for a standard vacation house, but some of the kitchen stuff needs replacements like the kettle and some pans that are very rusty to use. Dishwasher was leaking water. No pest control and bathroom was full of carpenter ants. Grill is horrible and dirty.
