Located on the 2nd floor of a two-flat building, the apartment features beautiful old-oak floors and contemporary furnishings in an elegant presentation. The street is tree-lined and located in a prestigious and convenient neighborhood of San Francisco. A quiet, safe park with majestic views of San Francisco is located across the street. From 1997 to 2005, this property housed many executives who were transferred to San Francisco from global locations. From 2005 - 2012, it was home to a family who then departed for Europe. We have years of experience in providing a Telegraph Hill experience to our guests.
Embedded in one of the most prestigious San Francisco residential neighborhoods and yet close to many of the City's iconic attractions.
Built in 1926 and remodeled in 2005, this property combines oak floors from trees that stood tall in the 1800s with contemporary furnishings, original art, and stainless steel kitchen appliances.
This is a real find! Friendly helpful owner, amazing location, quiet for sleeping, spotlessly clean, good for kids, fully stocked, off street parking... Can't say enough. Thank you, Lou. We will be back.
We stayed in this superbe home, we were 2 family, 4 adultes and 2 young children, the place is superbe. Lou was very welcoming, allowed us to come earlier than planned. Thank you for that very helpful, when travelling with a 3 years old and a 5 years old..
The flat is a few meters away from the Coit tower, stunning view, second away from the flat.
The bedrooms are great, nice mattress for a good night sleep, lots of light as well and lots of closets for storage..kitchen, is also great nothing is missing..
The sofa not very convenient as a bed, but we manage to move the furniture away , and get the kids to sleep on double duvet and carpet on the floor, with lots of pillows, they loved it as it looks like they were camping, we had lots of laught, and excitement when we explained to them..
The area is very nice, very close to the cable car, and explanatorium. We walked there no strollers..
The flat has everything that you would need in a home holiday, no bad surprises.
Lou it was a pleasure to meet you, we were fantastic, very good response time, there if, when we needed it.. Thank you so much. Will definitely come back to your place is able to, on a next visit to California.
Take care, enjoy your next visitors.

Let me start with... Lou (the owner) is the man. He was like a cruise director as we made our way to his property. Very helpful when we needed him, invisible when we didn't. Love this guy!
We really enjoyed our extended stay, the apartment was excellent. Much nicer than we expected and plenty of room for our family of 6. We all stayed comfortably, and get this, there was a parking place. Super close to restaurants and shops, beautiful views of the bay and wharf, and it is right below the Coit Tower. It was a breeze getting there from SFO via the BART, just a short taxi ride from the Embarcadero Station .
Can't wait to have an excuse to visit again. We highly recommend to anyone!
This apartment is in a terrific location within walking distance of many of San Francisco’s iconic neighborhoods including Telegraph Hill, North Beach, the Embarcadero and Fisherman’s Wharf. There are many restaurants nearby and the owner Lou provided a very helpful list of his recommendations for those as well as other conveniences such as grocery stores. As it is near the top of Telegraph Hill, the inclines will keep you in shape but the area is fantastic for walking. The apartment is accurately portrayed in the photos, and it is very comfortable, well equipped and quiet. The owner Lou is very prompt in responding and easy to work with. We had a great time exploring San Francisco from this location as our base. Highly recommended!
I am pleased to write such a terrific review and recommendation for anyone seeking to stay at this property. My wife and three young kids recently enjoyed this home for an extended stay in SF. The photos and description of the property accurately reflected the quality of this home.
Location: First, the neighborhood is wonderfully quiet. Perched at the top of Telegraph Hill, the views outside the unit are spectacular. A quick stroll up to Pioneer Park provides access to Coit Tower and treetop views of bay and city. A quick stroll down 2 blocks you takes you to thriving Washington Square, the epicenter of North Beach neighborhood (my favorite neighborhood in the city). Restaurants, bars, parks, bus stops all at your convenience. If you are bored, it's not to be blamed on the property location!!
Living Space: The property is very spacious for SF living. Wonderful long hall way separates two very large sized bedrooms from the front living space. Home was built in 1929 and has original hardwood floors, crown molding and unique period finishes taking you back in time. Even though it was remodeled in 2005, the home retains its old world charm with modern updates. Dining room has central table for up to 8 people. The living room has wonderful natural light from an enormous bay window.
Bedrooms: Both bedrooms are at rear of the property and have excellent natural lighting and wonderful cross breezes from bay. Beds have comfortable linens and rooms were very quiet (except on Thursday mornings when the trash truck arrives at 6am). Otherwise, very peaceful and excellent sleeping accommodations.
Bathroom: Very clean and functional. New toilet and fixtures. Comfortable.
Kitchen: New stainless steel appliance package. We cooked meals half the time we were there and the kitchen is very useful with all necessary cooking accessories.
Laundry: New Maytag laundry and dryer in the basement is shared with only one other unit. There was no issue with overlap and felt like own private unit.
Host: Last but not least, the host of this property is a wonderful gentleman. He greeted us on arrival. Explained the home and neighborhood thoroughly. He truly went above and beyond to ensure our time in the city was enjoyable and comfortable. Thank you for your kindness to our family during a wonderful stay!
If you are thinking about SF for an extended period of time, I highly encourage you to consider this home. You will not be disappointed and will enjoy your time in SF immensely!
We were so pleased to return and spend another enjoyable Christmas week at this well appointed, beautiful (and incredibly clean)apartment. The spacious living room and dining room were perfect for our family Christmas dinner. And the kitchen certainly was put to very good use. The parking space, for visiting family, is a real bonus. We particularly like the cozy, quiet bedrooms in the back of the apartment. All in all, this apartment is a true gem!
