Gorgeous Mountain Home With Many Amenities

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful rental home! It is nestled into the mountains and couldn't have a more beautiful setting with the aspens surrounding and stream running on the property. The home itself is simply gorgeous- natural wood accents, multiple fireplaces, and plenty of space. We traveled with a group of 8 and had no issues with the home. 4 bedrooms (one with 2 beds) and 3 bathrooms were ample and just right for our group. We never ran out of hot water, even with everyone showering one after the other, which was definitely a bonus. The beds were soooo comfortable, I believe every one had a memory foam mattress. We all slept so soundly and woke up rested. We enjoyed the sauna and the hot tub by the stream daily. We didn't get a chance to utilize the outdoor seating or hammock due to weather. There is a swingset, so this would be great for those with kids also. We used the grill one night and made a delicious dinner! The kitchen is equipped with all you could need to cook all types of meals. The fridge has filtered water, so no need to worry about having to drink well water. The nook area with the glass wall in the kitchen was our morning hangout for breakfast and coffee. Couldn't ask for a more serene morning view, and the space heater keeps it toasty in there. We nicknamed it "The Zen Den" since it was such a calming area. The house has dish, internet, and multiple board games, so there area plenty of options if you have downtime or the weather is too poor to be outside. We had a rousing game of Monopoly with our group and it took us all back to our childhoods! Every room in the house provides a great view. Some of our group watched some mule deer crossing the property, which was neat. It is a close jaunt to get into town for dinner, groceries, etc., less than 5 minutes to Idaho Springs. About 30 minutes from both Red Rocks and Denver, and about an hour from Boulder, so there are many different areas you can explore without having a long drive. The owners Bruce and Annie are more than helpful if you need anything and we had constant communication during our drive to CO, as well as during our stay to ensure we had all we needed. They even got us a welcome gift of champagne, which was unnecessary but a happy surprise! You can see and feel the care they have for this home and for the comfort of their guests. We hated to leave. Highly recommend!

Home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

What a great early Christmas gathering we had at Bruce and Annie’s Home! Even tho it was very early December, they kindly provided us with a Christmas tree and decorations to complete our experience. Things the six of us loved about this vacation rental:

Convenient location for day trips to Denver or further into the mountains

Feeling of solitude even though Idaho Springs is 5 minutes away

Comfortable beds and furnishings throughout

Fully stocked kitchen (more spices than I have at home, I think!)

Tastefully decorated

Glassed in seating area off kitchen was a favorite spot for coffee in the morning

Hot tub and sauna were perfect for a December visit!

All in all, this was one of the nicest vacation homes we’ve rented (and we’ve rented quite a few!). Would highly recommend!

Nice home in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

The home was very nice and we had everything we needed for a great stay. The hot tub, sauna and fire pit added a lot to our visit, especially in the evenings. The location is very convenient, with a grocery store minutes away and easy access to Highway 70. The home is comfortable and the grounds are really nice, especially the mountain stream running next to the property and visible from the hot tub. The photos show the hot tub far away but it is very convenient and a few steps from the lower lever of the house.

Idyllic long weekend in Idaho Springs

  • 5 of 5

I don't think I can add much to all the previous glowing reviews of Bruce and Annie's lovely house and property. Only to echo all the superlatives which were largely responsible for my choosing this house as a place to celebrate my daughter's 41st birthday with close friends and a few children over a long weekend. The house greeted us warmly at dusk with lights on and impeccably clean and comfortable. A bottle of Prosecco in the fridge was icing on the cake. The kitchen was well stocked, including spices which makes a huge difference to anyone who's preparing meals. All the bedrooms were perfect and nicely spaced for a group. Loved the gurgling creek and would love to experience this setting in summer as well. Thank you Bruce and Annie for being helpful and accommodating!! Linda

Excellent cabin with great location

  • 5 of 5

We had our 30th anniversary at the cabin.

What a great cabin with all the amenities.

We loved the hot tub right by the stream.

We loved the little town of Idaho Springs as well.

Was like travelling back in time.

So relaxing listening to the stream at night.

We even found some gold flakes in the stream and saw a couple trout swimming around.

Would definitely recommend and come back next time we come to Denver.
