Best little cabin in the woods! Was exactly the getaway we needed.

  • 5 of 5

The location was super close to Bixby bridge so we spent our sunsets there enjoying the view. The cabin is set back in the Palo Colorado neighborhood which is secluded and quiet, almost transports you back in time. The cabin was clean and exactly everything it was described as. Would definitely recommend!!

highlight of our trip

  • 5 of 5

We didn't want to leave Casa Pequeño. We couldn't have asked for more during our time in Big Sur. Easy access to beaches, restaurants and stores, surrounded by Redwoods. Stargazing in the tub on the deck at night was heavenly. It took us a couple days to find it but discovering the tucked-away outdoor shower was part of the fun. We slept so well on a comfy mattress under the eaves. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for making our trip to CA so memorable!

LOVED THIS LITTLE CABIN !

  • 5 of 5

LOVED it! We plan to return very soon !!! The cabin is minimalist but that's just great with us. Yes, there is a small hike from the parking place to the cabin, but it's not bad at all. In case you misunderstand the comment about not needing a key because the area is so safe ( like we did), there IS a lock on it and it can be locked when you are inside. The surrounding forest is AWESOME - SO BEAUTIFUL !!!. Can't say enough about our visit. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!

Quite, peaceful spot. Not exactly as presented

  • 3 of 5

Although the spot was lovely and extremely peaceful, it was a bit misrepresented. The gas grill ran out of propane midway through our cooking dinner. Be prepared for a bit of a walk to the cabin. Okay for us, but should be clearly stated in the write up. My husband and I loved the stay, but we are campers from way back. I would say my suggestions. would be a deep clean of the cabin and a gardener to do some brush work and trimming of the property, a much for comfortable couch/futon and reduce the cost of the stay. Too pricey for a 3 night stay at this cabin.

The cabin was secluded but had all the amenities.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the secluded nature of the cabin and it's location just off of Hwy. 1 and the ocean. The stovetop and fridge were adequate. The trails behind the cabin were unique and fun to explore. It would be hard to find another location with the same ambience. I think there should be a warning included about what poison oak looks like. I've dealth with poison ivy before, but not poison oak. The futon was ok to sit on, but slightly uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall, the experience was awesome!
