Wonderful House & Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the Lake House from May 4 - May 9, 2017. My family and I had a fantastic time. The house was just as advertised. It was beautiful, comfortable and charming; everyone loved the wrap around porch, the high ceilings and wood floors. While not directly on the lake, the house is just across the road from the lake which can be viewed from the front porch. Additionally, public access to the Lake Marion, is a short drive away. The house came fully stocked with towels, linens, pots, pans, dishes, silverware and cooking utensils. I had a great time entertaining my extended family and also finding a little down time to relax. I highly recommend this property!!

Nice little get away.

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful and spacious home. There were 5 adults and we had plenty of space. Right on the lake and close to fishing. The town is small, and not a lot of options to eat out. You need to carry your water because the water has an odor. I'm sure it is fine to drink, but hard to get past the smell. Over all very peaceful retreat!

Clean, Comfortable, Cute, Quiet

  • 5 of 5

Very nice. Great deck with a water view. We had good weather and enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning. The house sits back and up from the street. Access to the lake is down the drive and a few steps down the street to the public access, but it's a pleasant 2 minute walk. No big deal.

The house is open and roomy. Water view from the kitchen and dining room and living room sofa.

It's pretty well stocked. We had everything we needed for our three day stay. One exception: You might want to make sure you have your own bath soap. I went to take a shower and realized there was none, but I found a "hotel" body wash in the vanity drawer, so we didn't have to run out and get some.

There are other homes around, but it's so quiet and peaceful. The house is on a large lot, so it feels kind of remote. Lots of mature trees. We enjoyed seeing cardinals and a mallard couple strolled across the yard one morning while we lounged on the deck. So cute.

Delicious meals at Clark's Inn and Captains Quarters. Highly recommend both.
