About Frank

Hi I am a 45 years old guy from Amsterdam and I work as a human recourses consultant in the logistics industry. My partner and I have been living in the center of Amsterdam for many years, we both love Amsterdam, its compactness, its friendly atmosphere, its noisyness, its tranquility. Originally I am from the eastern part of the Netherlands (If you want to know the difference between Holland and The Netherlands I am happy to tell you when you here) and moved to Amsterdam when I was 21. My first room (student housing) was just around the corner and from that moment on I new I wanted to own an apartment in this part of the city.

Frank purchased this apartment in 2001

Why Frank chose Old Center

Although no longer living there we don't want to sell it because its such a nice apartment in such an ideal location.

Whenever we have family or friends over we let them stay there and everyone who has always loves the great location!

What makes this apartment unique

From the south facing balcony at the back side of the apartment you have a nice view of the gardens of the 17th century canal houses on the Prinsengracht. It is amazing how peaceful and tranquil it can be in the middle of a buzzling city like Amsterdam.

Amsterdam bliss

  • 5 of 5

This apartment, centrally located, is clean, bright, quiet. It is filled with modern kitchen and bathroom accessories. It is roomy, with a comfortable bedroom and a second room with a wardrobe. The latter has access to the very quiet, private rear balcony. The apartment is within easy walking distance to shops, canal cafes, grocery stores, and even the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum, and the Westerkerk, and a short blcck to a major tram line which will take you everywhere else you'd like to go, including the train station. We stayed at Kerkstraat 20B for 14 nights--I wish it could have been 14 weeks.

Oasis in the City

  • 4 of 5

Frank's apartment is spacious, full of light and centrally located. It is beautifully situated between two canals with easy access to grocery stores, clothing shops, the tram and the main sites of Amsterdam. The rear balcony provided another option for dinners. Having laundry facilities, ample closets and dressers made it easy to keep things organized. We had brilliant weather and the street could be a tad noisy until the wee hours on the weekend. However, the bedroom is located at the rear of the apartment so it meant opening windows up during the night. Speaking of windows...lovely large windows in the front and back of the apartment letting in lots of light and wonderful cross breezes. We felt at home immediately and would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family.

Great place.

  • 4 of 5

It was very clean, bright and really lovely. It is on a farily quiet street. It is very centrally located, so within walking distance of just about anything you want to do and see and if not walkable, the trams are just a block away. I would stay there again.

Spacious, GREAT Location!

  • 5 of 5

We started our month-long trip with a 6-night stay in this apartment in Amsterdam. It was delightful. The location made it easy to access the city's excellent public transit. Turn right as you exit the front door and you are steps away from a main street. Turn left and you are steps away from the lovely Jordaan area. The apartment itself is larger than the pictures portray. Windows in the front offer a view of buildings across the street featuring Amsterdam's famous roof lines, and in the back the balcony overlooks a treed courtyard area. The street is lively at times, but the windows block out any noise. We loved feeling part of the city. It was very easy and pleasant to work with Frank, the owner. We do not hesitate to recommend this apartment.

Lovely apartment in great location

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent 4 nights in this lovely, well-located apartment. It is within walking distance of many attractions, as well as trams and Central Station. Yet the street is safe and quiet. Frank provided a handbook with info on the apartment as well as location of nearest grocery stores and more. Apartment had everything we needed. It was very clean and comfortable. Frank is great to work with, and we would definitely stay there again.
