About Beth Axelrod

I grew up in Hawaii and have always had a passion for nature and the outdoors. When I moved to California I fell in love with the mountains and enjoyed hiking and skiing in Lake Tahoe for many years. When I moved to Southern California, I missed being able to take a quick trip to the mountains, until I took my first trip to Big Bear. I immediately fell in love with the quaint beautiful area and couldn't believe it was just a two hour drive from where I live to be in the middle of nature with pine trees and fresh air. I knew it was a place I wanted to be able to spend more time and what better way then to find a little piece of property all my own. I'm delighted to be able to offer this to others and share the experience with those seeking to get away from the city, families seeking fun quality time together and to couples seeking a little romance and relaxation.

Beth Axelrod purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Beth Axelrod chose Moonridge

I immediately fell in love with this cabin the minute I walked inside and stopped looking at anything else. I made an offer that day and the rest is history. The interior is quaint, with all wood interior and you really get the cozy feeling of being in a cabin in the woods. The previous property owners are long time residents of Big Bear Lake and they took excellent care of the place. It has so much charm and although it's a quaint place, it's well laid out, includes everything anyone needs for a weekend getaway, has a great size backyard with lots of trees and of course who wouldn't want to be able to enjoy hottubbing in the middle of trees and stars . Everything I was looking for and the deal was done!

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is in an ideal location for all Big Bear Lake activities. It's well insulated, newly and uniquely decorated, clean and has the perfect amount of indoor/outdoor space for couples or small families. It's also well stocked so you can pack very little...just the clothes you need to wear and be good to go.

Amazing and cozy cabin, perfect getaway !

  • 5 of 5

It was absolutely perfect cabin for two of us. The Jacuzzi under the stars and bbq at the patio area was a great addition to all. All the appliances you can imagine, towels and even bathrobes. Clean and cozy cabin with a fireplace and beautiful living room. We loved everything about it ! Looking forward staying here all over again , maybe summer time. The host is amazing as well as her cabin. Thank you very much for everything you've done to make this getaway so perfect !

Amazing cabin with everything you need for a get away and more!

  • 5 of 5

This place is amazing! It has everything you would ever need for a stay away from home. It’s adorable and romantic and I absolutely loved my stay here! The hot tub was such an extra added bonus- getting to drink coffee and stargaze in it while having snow on the ground made it that much more special! Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect little place

  • 5 of 5

What a great little cabin! Even cuter than the pictures. We were impressed by the kitchen and bathroom being fully stocked with everything you’d need. The heat and fireplace were nice in the winter, too. Only drawback was the WiFi, but I’m sure resetting the modem would have fixed the problem. Only mentioning it in case you need something reliable, but for us it was a good break from phones. Overall a great trip and we hope to be back soon!

Amazing getaway in the heart of Big Bear

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Beth's cabin was incredible and all we could have asked for! Our kids loved it so much they wanted to stay there forever.

The cabin includes anything you would need i.e. Cooking utensils, linens, extra blankets, shampoo soap etc.

Communication with Beth was great. She got back to us almost immediately with any questions we may have.

The location is amazing. Right in the heart of Big Bear near plenty of stores and five minutes from the Village.

I would definitely go back without any hesitation and recommend staying here to any one.

Thank you Beth for being so accommodating!!

Small and Charming

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for an obstacle course race I was running over a weekend. It’s small and has some age, but it’s very well kept, nicely decorated, and in great shape. The owner was pleasant to work with and I’d stay here again. Walking distance to Snow Summit.
