About the property

Lake Cabin with 292ft frontage, Large new 3 bay dock, and gravely beach. Fireplace, new kitchen, carpet and paint. Nicely furnished with newer appliances. About 1000 sq ft, with two bedrooms, ideal for couple or small family. 1 queen bed, 1 standard bed and one twin bed. Located near end of paved road, on nearly an acre of Fir and Pine trees with a natural yard and a very large boat dock..

The covered carport has a BBQ, and a porch swing for naps with lake views. The covered porch has a dinning table for most outside meals with views or use the dinning area in home with views. Also a picnic table is outside. There is a change building down by the dock with deck furniture, towels and dock carpets for sunning.

There are miles and miles of back country roads and trails accessed with a tribal permit just above the property. Ideal for mountain biking, & 4x4's.

If your new to the area, a trip though Glacier Park and a trip around the lake, shopping at the small towns around the lake are nice. I like to rest and recreate right at the property. It is quite, peaceful, very clean cabin, outstanding views and a place to enjoy Montana. My wife says it reminds her of the mountain summer range on their families ranch.

About Rich or Jan Petaja

Both of us are Montana kids, graduated from Montana State as did our two daughters, We are now retire and have a cabin about 1/4 mile from this property. We live in Missoula in the winter with a trip to Hawaii and maybe a little RVing to the southwest.

Rich or Jan Petaja purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Rich or Jan Petaja chose Polson

This property, near the end of the road and in the timber provides quiet and seclusion, 292 front feet on lake, Great neighbors. For boating, the Islands off shore normally provide more peaceful waters on the lee side of the islands if the water gets uncomfortable. There is a quiet bay on Wild Horse Island where the sailors moor for the night.

What makes this cabin unique

A nice Lake location with great sunsets. My wife likes to go for morning or evening walks, We both kayak, ride the seadoos, go snorkeling, ride the UTV on the mountain trails, go for picnic's on Wild Horse Island and look at the Big Horn Sheep, the huge Mule deer and the wild horses on the Island.

Perfect Lakefront Rental

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was a perfect vacation getaway for my wife and I along with our two teenage daughters. Excellent location, clean and comfortable accommodations, tons of amenities throughout the home and very peaceful neighborhood. The dock and beach area were perfect for swimming, playing in the water or simply watching wildlife, scenery and the stars. The owners were fantastic, helpful and a pleasure to rent from. We look forward to a return visit next summer.

Such a place of peace and beauty! The well maintained dock provided for lots of fun access with our kayaks, floaties, swimming, and star gazing. Although a bit unconventional, the sleeping porch/indoor eating area allowed us to wake to the views and sounds of the lake, while watching sunsets and visiting with family. Owners are very accommodating and helpful. We recommend a day of fishing with MoFisch Charters in Lakeside for a day of fun and super excitement. All amenities are within a short drive.

This vacation rental provided for a lovely, quiet and relaxing getaway for the two of us. The cabin was clean, well maintained and had some thoughtful extras provided in the kitchen. The master bedroom looks out over the lake with stunning views and a very comfortable bed. Comfortable, cozy and thoughtfully appointed. We had a great time. The owners were wonderful people too!

If your new to the area, a day trip to Glacier Park and a drive around Flathead Lake visiting the small towns around the lake are great fun. Some nice golf courses are located around the lake, but if your time is short, why not just relax, swim, boat, hike right at the cabin.
