Enjoyed the porch when at the house. Great location for touring/hiking etc.
Comfortable and Convenient
I can't really imagine a better place as a base for discovering what Acadia has to offer. The title for the listing really sums it up. It was very nice to meet Joan and Allan. I wish it could have been a longer stay.
Perfect for Families
This house was perfect for our 2 families to vacation together. We were able to walk down to the beach at Seal Harbor every morning and were very close to the Park Loop Road. A lot of little household items were provided which was very convenient when cooking meals or packing lunches for hikes.
Great location; funky furnishings
This house was a great location for easy access to Acadia NP -- hiking, biking, driving. Also, short drive to Northeast Harbor, where day cruises depart from.
Had lots of room, including a lovely porch.
However, the furnishings are mostly old -- like a first post-college apartment in the 1960s.
So, we would recommend for families.
Could not have been better
Wonderful house and great landlords. House has absolutely everything one could want and owners are incredibly organized so everything is easy to find and if there is a question they will respond.
Blueberry muffins waiting for us. House is very spacious and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. Walk to beach and few stores in town in one direction, walked to Jordan Pond house in the other direction. We hope to be back there next year.
It was perfect...Less then a mile to Wildwood stables where you can board your horse and ride the carriage trails and see the beautiful Acadia on horseback. The property was very clean and had every thing you could possibly need and more. The owner was very nice and welcomed us with a batch of homemade cookies and a map to the stables. I would higly recommend this property and hope that I can make it back this year.
Hiking on mountain trails, walking or biking or horseback riding on carriage roads, boat excursions including whale watches, harbor cruises and ferries to off-shore islands, museums, numerous ranger-led activities in Acadia National Park, beaches and lakes, dining, shopping, theater and concerts.
