Perfect home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, son (16) & daughter (13) rolled into town for a Figure Skating competition and wanted something close to the rink, but not too close! (19 minutes to Burnaby 8 Rinks & Fortius for all your skating/sports families out there).

We also had our Mini Schnauzer with us so pet-friendly was a must for us as she is part of the family.

Bridgetta & Bernie welcomed us at the door and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The kids were so happy as there was awesome Wifi & a flat screen TV (Teenagers ** sigh **)

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need - The private patio is also wonderful for enjoying a morning coffee, or with a glass of wine in the evening. My husband BBQ'd most nights so that kept him happy :)

Bernie plays the Alpine Horn, amongst other instruments and hearing that in the evenings was lovely and to our delight, amazingly soothing.

Swiss Paradise is exactly as it is depicted in the photos & write up. Lovely, sparkling clean and inviting with all the comforts of home. Comfy beds and fluffy towels what more could you need! We recommend it to everyone.

Thank you to our amazing hosts, we truly enjoyed our stay immensly and hope to return next year.

Thank you and see you in 2018.

Owner's Response: Dear Mandie and Family, Thank you so much for your compliments and for leaving the suite so immaculate and tidy. It was a pleasure having you and your family staying at Swiss Paradise. It was beautiful to see your daughter competing in Figure Skating. Little Tessy was cute and she had fun playing. We welcome you all back any time! Thank you and we hope to see you in 2018, Brigitta & Bernie

It felt sooo good to be in a place that we felt at home. Space outside, space inside, great sleeps

  • 4 of 5

We loved this place and will gladly return. Our challenge was that there were 5 people trying to get ready for a wedding and there was only 1 bathroom - The accommodation was so clean but there was no obvious place to put our dirty linen so we just piled it up. After 5 days and 5 people, it was a big pile. The same trial was the garbage. We would have liked to have been more aware of where the extra garbage bags were and where to put the full bags. These trials were insignificant to the quality of the home, the location to sky-train, restaurants and shopping..

Suggestion ... could there be a mobile room divider piece to separate the two sleeping locations in the bedroom with the 2 queen beds?

Highly enjoyable!

  • 5 of 5

Brigitte and Bernie, gracious and friendly hosts, have created a wonderful home from home experience. We loved the massive patio and the suite itself was so lovely and spacious for my husband and I, our son and his teenage daughter, as well as our border collie! We wanted for nothing and only wished we could have stayed longer.

Canada with some Swiss Flavor

  • 5 of 5

That's exactly what it was like. The hosts, Brigitte and Beat were the most hospitable and caring hosts I've ever met through VRBO, she texted to ask if we needed any groceries done as she was going to the market - that was too sweet ( thank you Brigitte). She texted her address and phone number, even though it was fed into my GPS yet that text was really helpful at the border when they asked where we were headed. Brigitte gave us a tour of their beautiful apartment that we were renting and Beat offered to help with our luggage - who does that?? (Thank you both so much). You know how in 5 star hotels they leave a chocolate piece on your pillow, here our hosts had left a ginormous Lindt Swiss chocolate bar as a welcome gift:)

Listening to Beat's Swiss Alps music was really soothing. It really was a Swiss paradise Suite, the sound of Beat's music, beautiful view mingled with the soft sound of water fountain - all made it into a resort type stay.

But...the best thing was the feeling that our hosts are right there to help if we need anything - Brigette gave me her cell number just in case we are lost or need anything during our stay.

Another best thing about this suite was it's location - well aside from being located in a real beautiful neighborhood, it was only a half hour drive from almost all major areas of interest. We visited Steveston, Surrey, Vancouver downtown, Whistler and Tswannsan with great ease. It is close to the border as well so going to Seattle was a breeze too.

Thank you both so very much, we enjoyed our 7 days with you as our hosts and in you beautiful clean suite.

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure having you all staying in our suite. You were the most quiet family we ever hosted. We really enjoyed listening to your son playing the violin...he's playing it so beautiful. Thank you for leaving the so impeccable and for doing the laundry. We love to have you stay with us whenever it is in your plans. Thank you very much for the welcoming present. Sincerely Brigitte & Beat

An outstanding basement suite that feels just like home

  • 5 of 5

We rented this suite over Christmas for myself and my two teenage children. The owners spared no detail, to include decorating the suite with a few decorations and a tree. When we arrived, they provided a tour of the suite and its many amenities. The suite is very well appointed and the genuine care and attention afforded by the owners make one feel like they are visiting close friends or family. Definitely recommended for anyone travelling to Coquitlam to visit the area.
