About the property

3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Bathroom, Sleeps 5. 2-story townhouse

Comfy & stylish three-bedroom townhouse with all the amenities of home, sleeps five. Located in lovely, historic Brewers Hill, our home has one off-street parking space and has a fenced-in shared backyard with private deck, a brick patio and garden. Ten minute (or less) drive from downtown, Eastside, Walker's Point. Walkable to Brady St, Cathedral Square, Bucks games, Pabst Best Place.

Ever want to stay in a nice house in a quiet neighborhood while still practically in the middle of everything? You found it! Three updated bedrooms (two with queen sized bed, another with a twin bed), big living room with plush leather couches and big tv, dining room area off the kitchen, luxury kitchen, and enjoy the big backyard with brick patio and beautiful garden. Basement with washer/dryer. Commute affordably with Uber to downtown for about $6, or park in your off-street spot but get anywhere downtown in ten minutes or less, from your block full of historic homes and beautiful front lawns.

Guests have access to one off-street parking spot, and the shared backyard. Private laundry facilities accessible in the basement. This space is a two-story townhouse, joined to one similar townhouse that has a long-term tenant. Extremely nice and friendly neighbors!

We may not always be present to meet you, but we are available day or night via phone, text, and this app. We strive to be super-communicative when you need us, but out of your hair when you don't. We want you to have a great visit to Milwaukee but we respect your privacy.

You could see some of the next-door neighbors in the shared back yard or coming to/from work. Don't be afraid to say hi and introduce yourself. They've lived here for years and are always friendly.

Are you visiting Milwaukee for business? Brewhome is ten minutes from anywhere downtown, and because of the highway, 15 minutes from the airport.

Visiting for fun? Take a craft brewery tour- by my last count, Brewhome has 14 of them in a two-mile radius! No kidding! Either way, if you stay at Brewhome we recommend walking over to Wolf Peach for dinner or for brunch, it's one of the hottest restaurants in the city, and since it's situated on a bluff, it has stunning views. Upscale but casual, Wolf Peach should be on your short list of things to do in Milwaukee.

Unique in Milwaukee, Brewers Hill is a tight-knit and diverse community with deep roots. Folks here are proud of their homes and their neighborhood, and care a lot about the quality of life here. It's historic, with tons of houses straight out of the 1870's and 1880's, most of which have been remodeled in the past 15 years. It's got a killer location, too! Close to downtown, Bucks arena, entertainment, even the highway. It's a $5 or $6 Uber ride to most places downtown. It's a great place to live for a while, or as a home base for a weekend of exploring. I may be biased, but Milwaukee has got to be the most underrated city in the Midwest.

Why James Cristina chose Lower East Side

This was our full-time home until we moved to New Orleans. Now it's dedicated to short-term rentals, but we still stay here when we are visiting friends in the Midwest. We chose to live in Brewers Hill because of the beauty of the architecture, eclectic and creative neighborhood, and proximity to downtown. No other neighborhood has this level of safety, parks, lawns and garages and is this close to downtown - best of all worlds in our opinion.

What makes this townhome unique

We remodeled completely when we bought both townhouses of this two-condo building. Remodeled the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Even installed the Brazilian cherrywood floors ourselves. Over the years we've done even more like have the bamboo floors installed in 2015. Updated the upstairs bathroom in 2016 and again in 2018.

We provide one off-street parking spot, in front of our left garage door, located behind our backyard.

Great home-away-from-home!

  • 5 of 5

Our party of four adults was very pleased with our four-day stay at James' charming and comfy home. It has everything you could possibly need on a trip — and more! We were so grateful for all the card/board games available to play, for how fully stocked the kitchen is compared to many vacation rentals, and for having a second bathroom, lol! If we ever need this much space on future MKE visits, we'll definitely be staying here again! :)

Above and beyond

  • 5 of 5

Usually with homeaways or air bnbs, the pictures make the place look better than it actually is. Here is was the opposite. In person, this place exceeded the pictures. It's location was extremely convenient to visit all of downtown milwaukee, and we loved the place.

The owner went above and beyond in a few ways, but the biggest one was when I forgot an item there, he texted me asking me if i had left it behind (i hadnt noticed yet), and we were able to arrange it's retrieval. It was a very special item, and I would have been really bummed to lose it.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My only feedback to the owner is to mark which parking spot of the two there we are supposed to park at. I accidentally parked at the neighbors because they were not marked. The neighbor was extremely nice, but you could tell this was probably a common annoyance for him. He was friendly, but this is a really easy fix that will avoid a difficult situation!

Great house close to night life and attractions!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed two nights while visiting Milwaukee this past weekend. The neighbourhood is historic and has some rough houses but overall was nice and felt safe. Less than 5 min drive to nightlife - lots of great restaurants and bars! While in Milwaukee we did tours at the old Pabst brewery (Best Place) and Pabst mansion as well and Harley museum. The house was a very short drive to those as well! Overall very happy with our stay and trip in general!

Comfortable and roomy

  • 5 of 5

This perfectly met our needs as a group of friends attending a weekend conference. Comfortable for sleeping and hanging out. Unlike many other rentals, this one had a second bathroom which was a huge plus. Also appreciated the parking available by the garage.

Beautiful Classic Milwaukee Home

  • 5 of 5

Even though our stay had to be cut short due to the weather and travel arrangements we all highly enjoyed our stay at James’s home! The living area was open so it was easy to visit with my friends and was comfortable as well. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. There were also a lot of little touches that really made it feel like home! I wish that we were able to stay for the entire visit to fully enjoy the home!

We have everything a big city has to offer, Brewers Hill - our neighborhood - is as close to the city's main business district as possible while still feeling like a bedroom community. Originally built up in the 1870's, Brewers Hill went through a remodeling/investment renaissance in the 2000's and retains the old-world charm of the original architecture built by the beer barons, brewery managers, and blue-collar workers who all lived side-by-side in this unique neighborhood. Literally walking distance to Schiltz Park, the river, Brady Street and the East Side, and even Milwaukee's main downtown business district. Main attractions in the immediate neighborhood are Wolf Peach, an upscale casual-dress restaurant; Lakefront Brewery, one of Milwaukee's treasures with a hysterically funny brewery tour (which is still one of the hottest tickets in town, reserve yours online) and great traditional Friday Fish-fry; kayak rentals on the river in Schlitz Park; and Kadish Park full of grand old trees, rolling hills and one of the finest views from the highest point in the city atop the old reservoir hill.
