Relax and pamper yourself in luxury in this well-appointed condo with wonderful ocean views. This is NOT your average condo rental!
This condo has gone through an extensive high-end renovation and interior decoration. New kitchen cabinets, bathroom, tile floors and much more.
We are close, but not too close to the many shops and ocean front restaurants on Alii Drive. (A very short walk with-out the extra noise of Alii Drive). The farmer’s market is just around the corner where you can find fresh locally grown produce.
A ½ mile walk to the sandy beach by the King Kamehameha’s Beach Hotel and Kailua Pier, the start of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship. By the pier you can rent stand-up paddle boards or take the 5 minute boat ride to the Atlantis Submarine tour.
With the fresh Ocean breezes and new overhead fans, most guests will never choose to use the included Air Conditioning.
Designed to easily accommodate 2 to 4 people. The couch pulls out to a very comfortable queen-size sleeper and the bedroom can quickly be closed off from the living area by sliding out the Japanese Shoji doors.
The granite top kitchen bar seats 4 people with the beautiful teak bar stools.
Even the bathroom features a double sink vanity with granite top.
Accessorized with all sorts of knives, mixing bowls, rice cooker and so forth to satisfy the gourmet chef.
Feel free to make free local and long distance phone calls to anywhere in the USA or Canada. We also feature free secure WiFi internet, DVD Blue-Ray player and even Netflix and Pandora Radio. We have a selection of books, games and DVD movies.
There are Flat-Screen TV’s in both the Living area and bedroom.
We have beach chairs, boogie board, beach mats, ice chest and so forth for you to use during your stay.
The rebuilding of Saint Michael's Church is complete and all construction has finished. It is a beautiful Church and we still have a wonderful ocean view!

Why Trent Dockstetter chose Historic Kailua Village
Because we love the Kailua-Kona area so much, we bought this Condo as our second home. Although we went way over-budget renovating and decorating, that’s OK because we enjoy staying here ourselves so much and we want others to enjoy it too. This is not just a rental property to us, it is our home.

Clean and close to everything
For us going out for a couple Mai-Tai and not having to worry about anything was great. It is an easy walk to a dozen or more really good restaurants. Alternately having to drive takes away from the happy hour aspect of a much needed vacation. Would recommend to anyone as it meets the criteria of most being clean , well kept and in a very good location
We have stayed in this building on 5 other occasions, and this 4th floor condo was the best of them all. Newly renovated, air conditioned, , and superbly located, this condo is a great value. The owners have provided lots of the comforts of home along with plenty of information on how to enjoy your stay in Kona. You can't go wrong staying here.
4 weeks in Paradise
When we first arrived we were struck by how spotless both the condo and the entire complex were. Trent quickly responded to any questions we had and was very accommodating. Kathy, their on-site contact, was helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. The condo was well equipped with everything needed to cook our meals, many of which we ate on our pretty lanai. It was well supplied with needed items, i.e. beach chairs, mats, towels, coolers, for our many trips to area beaches and snorkel sites. Being within walking distance to the farmer’s market, the pier for snorkeling, the Big Island Running Co. (for their weekly runs), the Regency (for a weekly ukelele kanikapila) and many restaurants was a huge plus for us. We even got to experience a spectacular thunderstorm while listening to a ukulele group at Gertrude’s one evening. I could go on and on... Needless to say, we are looking forward to returning next year!
Mahalo for being our guests! Its wonderful when people are able to become part of the local community even if it is for 4 weeks at a time! Kathy said that she enjoyed meeting you!
Until next year!
Very nicely furnished and spacious condo with ocean view
This is a lovely condo that must have been renovated very recently. Most everything is in great condition and it is nicely furnished. Every room has windows that provide nice airflow. You may hear some traffic from the road in the back, but closing the kitchen/bath windows at night and using the fans helped reduce any road noise. The new church next door had quite a bit of activity over the holidays during our stay. Be forewarned that church bells start at 7 am!
The location is great. We love staying in the heart of Kona because it's so easy to walk everywhere. Restaurants, coffee shops, farmer's market and the little Keiki beach are all within walking distance. The owner was very helpful, the neighbors are great people, and the local contact was also quick to assist and address our questions. The owner was also flexible with check-in and check-out; we really appreciated the extra time.
All in all, we had a great vacation in Kona and look forward to coming back!
Thank you Tiina for being our guest. We look forward to your next stay with us!
Best birthday trip ever!
First time solo traveling in hawaii, and hoped to book Trents place. I read the t&cs and noticed it said 25+, where i would be turning 24 while there. I sent Trent a message and from there on, not a single regret. Trent has been prompt at answering queries and messages! The apartment itself is everything you could want - convenient location, easy access, fully equipped with more stuff than you can imagine. I couldn't think of a single thing missing or wanting. The first couple of days, I took advantage of being within walking distance of Kona and then I rented a car for the remainder of the time.
This was my first time renting on VRBO, and this experience has made sure that it will not be my last! Definitely book this apartment if you're looking to save a little by making your own food a few days, want neat and safe parking, and an overall amazing start and base for exploring the big island!
Happy Birthday and thank you for being a great guest.
