About the property

Families and groups of friends alike return year after year to this home! It is an amazing piece of Fruita history and it was fully restored for your stay - completed July of 2012. Beautiful wood floors throughout, marble counter tops, comfortable furnishings - no expense was spared here and the owner took his time getting it right! The pictures just cannot do it justice!

Located in a very nice neighborhood of Fruita - you will find three bedrooms and two baths in this home. One master bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and full bath. Two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen and the other with twin bunk beds. A full size pull out couch in the living room creates more sleeping space when needed. In the evening, you will enjoy the outdoor patio area with a BBQ and large lawn for tossing a ball, frisbee or just hanging out with your crew. Large and mature trees provide full shade during most times of the day. Off street parking is also a nice perk! As always, Fruita CrashPad properties provide secure storage for gear, a washer and dryer and a fully equipped kitchen will ensure you have a great stay!

Downtown is just a quick three block walk away. Visit Aspen Street Coffee in the morning, get a ride in, go rafting and then come back for some music at Cavalcade, grab an amazing craft brew at Copper Club Brewing Company or some pizza at The Hot Tomato! Need some bike maintenance or a place to rent one for a day or two, check out Over the Edge Sports or Colorado Back Country Biker!

About Michelle Melgares

My name is Michelle and I own Fruita CrashPad a vacation rental management company in Fruita, Colorado. I grew up in the area and feel very fortunate to get to call it home. I love cycling and want to share the great things this community has to offer with the world. If you can do it outdoors, you can do it within 45 minutes of Fruita. Skiing and wine country tourism too!

What makes this house unique

This homes proximity to downtown, the surrounding neighborhood, the beautiful outdoor space and high quality finishes make it a great destination home for families and small to mid size groups alike.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Our stay was great. We really enjoyed the house. The location is super convenient -- walk to restaurants and stores. Everything worked well in the house too.

Charming house and neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

Had a lovely time. Our family stayed here while attending a wedding at Two Rivers Winery. The house was perfect for us to gather and get ready for the wedding. We walked downtown for breakfast and stayed in and barbecued for dinner. We loved Fruita and this rental!

Lovely lodging

  • 4 of 5

This house is adorable outside and beautifully renovated inside. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of storage. The rooms met our needs, although the full sized bed upstairs was too firm for my liking. Bathrooms were well stocked and clean. Overall, it was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for families

  • 5 of 5

This house is beautifully restored and has all modern conveniences. We stayed with elderly parents and two small children for a week and couldn't have been more comfortable. Open layout of living spaces and outdoor patio provide plenty of space to hang out and celebrate togetherness. House is well stocked with linens and towels and kitchen gear and even has a gas grill for summer cookouts. It was truly perfect for us and was central to our family reunion.

Excellent House to rent

  • 5 of 5

My son had a baseball tournament in GJ and this was a perfect house for 6 of us to rent. The house has been recently remodeled yet keeps the charm of an old house. The beds are comfortable and the AC works great. I would def recommend this house to anyone.

Great place to stay

  • 4 of 5

Very nice kitchen with just enough equipment to cobble together dinner when the Hot Tomato is closed. Easy walk into town to Copper Club or Aspen Coffee. Close to 18rd trails. We were able to watch a movie the first night but could not figure out the sound for the TV on the rainy day- instructions for the three remotes would be helpful. Bed upstairs was very comfortable. Upstairs shower could use a liner- the shower curtain seems too nice and thick to put inside and get soaked but leaving it out soaks the floor. Stayed there before, would stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review Kate! We regret you had trouble with the remotes. We will be sure to place the instructions in the home again - thank you for the heads up! The curtain for the upstairs bath is very unique and does not allow a liner - we maintain it frequently, so please feel free to put it inside of the shower next time you stay with us! :-) We look forward to your return!

Comfortable and beautifully restored home close to downtown

  • 5 of 5

We shared this home with another couple while in Fruita for a few days of MTN Biking. The house accommodated us wonderfully. It was comfortable and the kitchen had all the basics we needed as we cooked at the house most nights. Heck, the BBQ Grill was even clean inside. That is not something you always find at a rental! I happily added this house to my favorites and it would be at the top of my list of possibilities for one of my future trips to the area. The bike storage was a real plus if you are traveling with bikes.

Map

Fruita is an outdoor enthusiast’s haven! We are a world class destination for mountain biking, road cycling, white water rafting, hiking, dinosaur tourism and of course if you climb... you must climb Independence Rock in our back yard, the Colorado National Monument. Fruita is also home to a brand new Community Center with exercise facilities, basketball courts, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and much more!

Our mild climate makes this a popular destination year round, but we must say that spring and fall are the best times to come see us! Enjoy one of our many festivals, come to listen to music at Country Jam or Rock Jam, or just come to tour the vineyards in nearby Palisade. Whenever you come, we know you are gonna love it!
