About KENNETH CARROLL

My brother and I grew up in Palo Alto and attended Gunn High School. I live in San Jose and my brother lives in Pine Mt. near Frazier Park. Both of us have kids that are really no longer kids, all into their 20's and 30's. We have always enjoyed coming to Lake Tahoe and getting out with the family on camping trips. We are looking forward to passing the beauty and magic of the Lake Tahoe onto others who come up and use the cabin with their family and friends.

KENNETH CARROLL purchased this cabin in 2010

Why KENNETH CARROLL chose Lake Tahoe West Shore CA

We looked at a LOT of properties and settled on this cabin for it's charm, the easy access (no stairs or hills to climb) the fenced in yard for kids, the wooded property of pines and aspens, the seasonal stream out back, and the convenience of Tahoma being secluded from the activity of Tahoe City, yet right by skiing and hiking and the lake.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin was built in 1964 and easy to love. The soft pine floors and stone work throughout gives it a great charm that sets off the open nature of the design and natural lighting aided by skylights.

The kitchen area is very open and large that makes it the natural gathering place to talk, cook, and entertain. The adjacent living room makes it the floor plan very open and inviting for everyone to be together and not feel cramped.

We have recently added a TV with satellite access for those who want to check on the latest football game or other event, but with all of the natural beauty around you in the Tahoma and Lake Tahoe area, its nice to concentrate on enjoying the company of friends and family members, playing games, and spending more time talking to each other. Just try it! This property is perfect for enjoying nature in the backyard, playing horseshoes, or visiting the lake or hiking in the nearby national forest. It is conveniently located near Chambers Landing Beach, Bar and Grill and the PDQ store and deli in Tahoma.

Great place, great weather, great week

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful week at the cabin, we had great weather, blue skies and sunny. Nice spacious place, very clean and comfortable. You could easily have two families here with plenty of room for everyone.

Perfect memories

  • 5 of 5

I cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful retreat. The photos do not do the home justice because it is beautifully decorated with Tahoe cabin allure, even including rock wall features. Every bedroom is equally inviting, no room is preferable over the others. It is warm, clean, and well stocked with all the comforts of home. We brought firewood but found it was already provided for us. There are games for the children, sledding toys, cable TV with internet, everything is updated. The front of the house is deceiving because it would appear small when it is surprisingly large, able to sleep 12 comfortably. Ken is very easy to work with and communicated frequently to ensure we were comfortable. Our family stayed together here as we celebrated our wedding day. We all agreed what a wonderful idea it would be to come back again and make a family tradition of Carroll's Cabin. The perfect memories of my family together in this beautiful cabin bring tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. Thank you Ken Carroll for providing the opportunity for others to enjoy your lovely home.

Great experience!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin! It was the perfect size for our family and had everything we needed. That was important because we really didn't have room in our vehicles to bring everything we'd need (pots, pans, beach chairs, etc). The cabin was clean and well maintained. It was nice to have a t.v. so we could watch the Olympics and it was also great to have the board games. The kitchen was a really nice size and made it easy to cook for our large group. It was also nice to have the barbeque so we could grill.

We loved the beaches that were nearby-they were beautiful! The location was perfect for what we wanted to do.

Overall a fantastic vacation for our family. We hope to do it again next year. We really appreciated your communication with us and your availability in case we should have had any issues. Thanks so much for everything. Lisa Hale and family
