About KENNETH CARROLL
My brother and I grew up in Palo Alto and attended Gunn High School. I live in San Jose and my brother lives in Pine Mt. near Frazier Park. Both of us have kids that are really no longer kids, all into their 20's and 30's. We have always enjoyed coming to Lake Tahoe and getting out with the family on camping trips. We are looking forward to passing the beauty and magic of the Lake Tahoe onto others who come up and use the cabin with their family and friends.
KENNETH CARROLL purchased this Cabin in 2010
Why KENNETH CARROLL chose Tahoma
We looked at a LOT of properties and settled on this cabin for it's charm, the easy access (no stairs or hills to climb) the fenced in yard for kids, the wooded property of pines and aspens, the seasonal stream out back, and the convenience of Tahoma being secluded from the activity of Tahoe City, yet right by skiing and hiking and the lake.
What makes this Cabin unique
This cabin was built in 1964 and easy to love. The soft pine floors and stone work throughout gives it a great charm that sets off the open nature of the design and natural lighting aided by skylights. The kitchen area is very open and large that makes it the natural gathering place to talk, cook, and entertain. The adjacent living room makes it the floor plan very open and inviting for everyone to be together and not feel cramped. We have recently added a TV with satellite access for those who want to check on the latest football game or other event, but with all of the natural beauty around you in the Tahoma and Lake Tahoe area, its nice to concentrate on enjoying the company of friends and family members, playing games, and spending more time talking to each other. Just try it! This property is perfect for enjoying nature in the backyard, playing horseshoes, or visiting the lake or hiking in the nearby national forest. It is conveniently located near Chambers Landing Beach, Bar and Grill and the PDQ store and deli in Tahoma.

We had a great weekend at this house. It was spacious and very comfortable for 11 people. The house was clean and well-equipped, and the location was great for hiking and lake activities at Meeks Bay. The owners were responsive and helpful.
Thanks for the kind words, please come back again, and glad you all had a great time!
My family and I just returned from our stay at the Carroll Cabin. The home is well equipped, clean, and spacious. Kitchen is well stocked, front deck area a great place to relax and the large selection of games were wonderful. A good location to visit Meeks Bay, Emerald Bay and Tahoe City. Home is decorated nicely and feels very "homey". TV was a little hard to figure out (but we didn't watch much, anyway) cell reception basically non existent (wifi works great) beds were a bit too soft for our group. A couple suggestions, clocks in the bedrooms would be wonderful so when you wake up you have an idea of the time, shower caddy for master shower as there is no where to place shower items in that shower other than the floor, check the beach chairs before heading to beach as a few are broken, no extra linens for beds are available and there weren't quite enough towels. Minor details for an otherwise wonderful stay. My husband and I especially enjoyed watching the lightening and hail show through the skylight in the bedroom. Thanks for a great stay!
Thanks for all the suggestions! It's always good to get someone else's opinion on things. We do have instructions on the TV but maybe those need improvement. Hopefully when come back we've nailed those suggestions down.
Wonderful Tahoe cabin!
We really loved the Tahoe cabin -- loved the setting, very quiet, and great for our young grandkids! The home was very well equipped, had everything we needed and was very clean. We had such a great time; almost wish we had been there in the winter to experience the fireplace! All in all, I highly recommend the Carroll cabin - very thoughtful owners as well.
Great location, and very well kept apartment. Ideal for large families
We had a great experience at Carroll cabin, while visiting Tahoe with a large family. Location is great and walking distance from Sugar pine area and trails. Short driving distance from most south Tahoe attractions.
Cabin is very well maintained and thoughtfully equipped.
So glad you and your family had a great time at Tahoe! Please come back and visit anytime!
A wonderful stay!
My family and I enjoyed this beautiful home and its great location. Everything worked as expected and there are many nice updates inside as well as a great deck and yard to enjoy. The owners are responsive to questions and provide detailed instructions for your convenience. We would definitely book this home again as it is clean, spacious and close to everything we were looking to enjoy in Tahoma.
Charming and very comfortable place to stay
We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin. The kitchen is spacious which I found not to be very common in other cabins. Regarding sleeping, I usually don't sleep well the first night, but this place has the most comfortable beds I know. They are not too soft not too firm, just right. I will recommend this cabin to anybody.
Thanks for taking the trouble to add your kind thoughts on the cabin. We agree, one of the owners has trouble staying asleep at home, but sleeps like a log at the cabin! Glad you enjoyed the cabin and your stay.
