Thank your for a lovely holiday in Villa Flora. What was really nice was that you neighbours children’s brought round some fairy cakes to share as it was one of their birthdays! If our friends and families asked we would recommend your villas. Louise Aston

Surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees, it is just a short 5 minute drive away from the beautiful sandy beaches of Avithos, St Hellis and Ammes, Avithos being the nearest beach, around 15 minutes by walking. The nearby villages of Lakithra and Svoronata also offer a number of local taverns, mini-markets and bakery. In addition to this the villa is just a 10 minute drive away from the capital of the island Argostoli, which offers a cosmopolitan atmosphere with many good restaurants and bars. The area offers much historical interest with the house where Lord Byron stayed in the nearby village of Kourkoumelata with a statue in his honour.

JUST THE BEST.

  • 5 of 5

Villa Agua is a fabulous home from home place to stay. The view from the rear patio and pool area is awesome, even better from the master bedroom balcony. There are two en-suite spacious bedrooms upstairs, a family bathroom and another spacious bedroom on the ground floor. The lounge diner and well equipped kitchen are also very spacious. All in all a fabulous place to stay. On arrival, you are welcomed by the friendly Debbie or, if they are in the country, Clare and John, the owners of Villa Agua. The surrounding area has much to offer. The nearest beach is 3 minutes drive or, 15 minutes walk away with two restaurants and beach bar. Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia, is just 20 minutes drive away. If you decide to visit Kefalonia and stay at Villa Agua, you will NOT be disappointed.

Happy holidays are made of this!

  • 5 of 5

Well, what a fabulous holiday! From the initial booking enquiry with Claire, right through to getting our car back at Gatwick, this truly was the most relaxing holiday we've had since our "pre-kid" days!!

Claire did everything for us. She booked the flights, she booked the hire car, she booked the airport parking. If I could, I would've asked her to do our packing aswell!!

So, down to the nitty gritty...the villa. It was everything we wanted in a holiday villa - it was comfortable, it was quiet, and it had everything we needed to keep everyone happy and make our week perfect.

We did do a bit of exploring during our week in Kefalonia....but not much! We went to Myrtos Beach (good for a look, but maybe not a whole day out), we had lunch in Assos (the most delicious freshly caught fish - actually harder to come by than you would think), but with kids we generally just went to the beach! We could've ventured far afield, but most days we ended up on Makris Gialos in the resort of Lassi - just a 10 minute drive from the villa. It's so family friendly that you really couldn't ask for much more, especially if you're only there for a week.

Claire & John were super helpful, recommending restaurants and days out. The Olive Tree restaurant is a must - if only to see the size of their mega pork chop!!!

If you've got any doubts about booking this villa, then push them quickly aside. It offers everything you could possibly want to make your holiday a success. See you next year Claire & John!

Fantastic villa

  • 5 of 5

Superb villa with fantastic pool and views of the Ionion sea.

We visited the beautiful beach of Avithos with clear warm waters at 6pm in the evening to avoid the scorching sun! which was a 15 min walk or 5 mins by car.

Two good Tavernas were located at the back of beach- sunsets were stunning.

A really chilled holiday away from the crowds.

Thank you John and Claire.

Great Holiday Location

  • 5 of 5

A fantastic Villa in a great location. As described with an outstanding pool. Claire and John have put a lot of thought and effort in to the property and it easily measured up to expectations. We have stayed in a number of villas across asia and europe and this is up with the best.

Many thanks to Claire for providing local knowledge on beaches, restaurants and places to go. We were spoilt for choice.

Beautiful Villa Agua

  • 5 of 5

We have recently returned from our second wonderful holiday on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. This holiday was made particularly memorable thanks to beautiful Villa Agua, which is located in a quiet, pretty village and has stunning views overlooking a valley down to the sea. The villa is modern, spacious, beautifully furnished, light, airy and very comfortable. An excellent en suite to every bedroom, and a modern well equipped kitchen that caters for every need. We chose to shop in the fabulous fruit, meat and fish markets of Argostoli (look out for the turtles!) and eat our lovely fresh food, washed down with a bottle of Robola on the balcony as we watched the sun go down. The pretty garden contains a good sized infinity pool which was regularly cleaned and a joy to swim in at the end of a hot day! We hired a car for the duration of our stay (2 weeks) to make the most of all the island has to offer. The beaches are wonderful, Myrtos and Antisammos being our favourites, but we also spent a few days at Avithos beach which is 5 minutes down the road from Villa Agua, is sandy, has beautiful clear sea and two delightful tavernas. Claire, who owns the villa and stays on the island during the summer is delightful and could not have been more helpful - we will definitely return!

A perfect high quality villa thank you

  • 5 of 5

Fiona and I visited kefalonia on our honeymoon many years ago and wanted to retrace our steps. Agua was a wonderful base for us - the villa is beautiful and the views are simply lovely. Every detail of the villa and the owners discreet attention exceeded our expectations - in fact we were introduced to some off the tourist track experiences - we will be back and will introduce our friends to kefalonia soon. thank you so much Claire and john
