About the property

Sleeps 6 , parking, tennis

Courtside 1 located in the heart of down town Niagara-on-the-Lake is a perfect vacation home for a family of six or three couples! But wait if there is 8 guest. You can rent Courtside 2 along with Courtside 1 at a great rate!

It has a modern decor, up-to-date amenities and fabulous outdoor space! Where else would you get a private patio, with access to a private tennis court, outdoor kitchen, bbq/grill and a huge back garden?

Everyone is on the one level and there is lots of space to gather around the kitchen or hang out in the living room! Better yet, go out to the gazebo and relax with a good book and a glass of wine, while everyone else is busy getting dinner ready. But be aware those that don’t prepare the meal are destined to clean up afterward!

The location of Courtside 1 is in the core of what the locals call ‘old town’ , an historical district that is where the horse drawn carriages go by, in the middle and within walking distance of the two main shopping and dining areas.

The Lake and Niagara River is an easy 10 minute stroll. The Shaw Festival theatres are also a leisurely walk along the prettiest streets that the town has to offer. No need for a car, so park it for your stay!

This is a perfectly bike able and walkable community that is great because of the trails, sidewalks and quiet areas. Around Queen Street you get some hustle and bustle, but out on Simcoe and Centre St., you are definitely in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood and you can really feel like you are living like a local!

In the winter this is a perfect place to snuggle in to with close access to the Commons which offers cross country ski and snow shoe trails. In the summer the commons has a public swimming pool and play ground. The Commons also has public tennis courts but you won’t need them because you have access to your own private one!

Enter in the front vestibule and then right into the open concept living room and dining room. There is a small TV, books, and games area but mostly it’s great for kicking back and having a great conversation with your traveling buddies.

The kitchen is right off the dining area which is convenient for serving and still feeling like you are a part of everything!

Available winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, this is the perfect place to stay while you are in town for either a couple of nights or a longer stay. The drive way parks up to 3 vehicles, the beds are made with quality linens, we supply the towels, equipped kitchen and we have main floor laundry too! This is a home-away-from-home in any season!

About Janet Trogdon

Since purchasing our beautiful home, we have embraced Niagara-on-the-Lake and the times we have shared at Courtside Rentals with our family and friends. Walking to our favorite restaurants, strolling along Queen Street, biking to Queenston Heights, taking in the sights and sounds of the waterfront, and exploring the many beautiful wineries in the region are some of our favorite pastimes. The connections we have made to the area have been influential to our lives– both of our sons attended post-graduate studies in the Niagara region and one is pursuing a career in the wine industry. Little did we know the impact that our decision to purchase in 2008 would have on our family! We take pride in offering you the best accommodation for comfort and convenience and hope that you will enjoy and respect them too. Please note that we are fully licensed vacation property rental by the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. The very best from our family to yours!

Why Janet Trogdon chose Niagara-on-the-Lake

Centrally located in old town so you are not to far from anything!

What really captured our hearts was the amount of property and the privacy it offered. It is like having our own park! The tennis coursts were just an added bonus!

What makes this cottage unique

Courtside 1 has a fabulous outdoor space with a gazebo, park like setting, out door kitchen and access to a private tennis court. Need an extra bedroom, enquire about the Courstide 2, our one bedroom tennis suite HomeAway listing 970334 !

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed at Courtside2 last year and were so pleased. We knew we would come back for our annual family visit. This year, we had a family wedding and our children were in town as well. So we were so happy that Courtside 1 was available.

It was very comfortable for the five of us, great location to walk into town and the well stocked kitchen made it easy for us to have breakfast at a leisurely pace.

We will definitely be returning and recommending Courtside 1 and 2 to all our family and friends!

Great Cottage.

  • 5 of 5

This is a well appointed cottage with a large yard and a tennis court. We enjoyed the privacy and the convenience of being right in town. Niagara on the Lake oozes with charm. We rented E Bikes which was a hoot. Everything was in walking distance including one of the best bakeries ever. I have rented from this agency before in Niagara on the Lake always with great success. We found Courtside 1 perfect for our weekend getaway. I was impressed with the furnishings, the well appointed kitchen, and mostly that backyard was a delight. We arrived to a clean cottage, and when there was one small problem it was dealt with swiftly. I would highly recommend it.

Tennis anyone?

  • 5 of 5

We rented both homes with a group of 6 tennis friends. The first night in we had a wonderful steak dinner done on the barbeque provided. In the morning we got up and played some tennis then headed out on our bicycles for the day. This place is in a perfect location. It is central to everything. Both homes are really nice, especially the one bedroom if you want more privacy. The courts are in decent shape, but don't expect perfect playing conditions depending on when you play. The sun will be right in your eyes on the one side. We will definitely look at coming back again.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this place was great. It is charming and comfortable with every amenity thoughtfully prepared ahead of our arrival. We had such a great time and this property was perfect for stay with friends. One of our friends has special dietary restrictions so having a full kitchen with everything at our finger tips really made the vacation so much more enjoyable and stress-free. We had such a great time that we are planning to make this an annual event and hope to return to this same house.

More than expected.......

  • 5 of 5

Upon arriving in Niagara On The Lake for the first time what a beautiful surprise awaited us.

We were a groupe of 6 friends and had rented Courtside 1 and 2. What a location these homes have!!!!Really!!!! And Simcoe street ...what a beautiful street! Coffee in the morning on the back patio was great. We walked from these homes everywhere.. to Queens street in downtown Niagara on the Lake for shopping, dining even going to the waterfront! In the other direction we discovered a wonderful restaurant named Shore road Grille. Completely delicious!!!! The homes where very clean and cozy. Janet was just fantastic...always answering my questions with a smile in her voice!! And what's to say about the vineyards.....completely awesome!!!!!! We took back to Quebec beautiful wines that we fell in love with and will drink them remembering a beautiful weekend. Courtside 1 and 2 will be our choice when back down in this area for sure!!!!!!

I highly recommend these properties. Especially Courtside 2 if a romantic weekend is your destination!

Courtside I strokes an "ace"

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 3 nights and found the Courtside I cottage to be perfectly appointed. Everything we might need was there without being cluttered. The owners thought even to put matches in a kitchen drawer. It was clean, comfortable, had easy wifi access, plus 2 nice TVs in a living room and a family room, comfortable beds, very nice bathrooms and useful deck. We spent our evenings using the good quality grill to cook our suppers accompanied by wine drunk from the pretty blue wine glasses provided.

My only regret was not really paying attention to why the place was named, "Courtside" It had a Tennis Court right there in the back yard! I wished I'd brought racket and balls.

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic stay at Courtside 2 for the May long weekend!! Would highly recommend it to anyone, especially someone who enjoys tennis as we had an entire court to ourselves the whole weekend.
