1,000 square foot duplex loft, sunny, quiet and clean
Sunny fifth and sixth floor loft (nearly 1,000 square feet/97m2) overlooking Paris rooftops! The apartment is very sunny with soaring ceilings supported by exposed wooden beams and walls covered with original art.
The apartment consists of living room w/2 large comfortable sofas in front of a fireplace (though fires now illegal in Paris). Vaulted ceilings open onto the bedroom above which overlooks the living room below. There are windows on both sides that look out on courtyards, a large entryway and adjoining dining area that seats four and opens onto the kitchen. A spiral staircase leads up to the large bedroom with a wall of windows with views of the Paris rooftops and the stone courtyard below.
A full-bath with tub/shower and washer/dryer adjoins the bedroom. Upstairs there is also a separate office area with fiber internet The apartment includes bed linens, towels and toiletries. Several drawers and a closet are cleared to avoid living out of a suitcase during the visit.
Stay here and live as the locals do: shopping at the neighbourhood grocer or covered market, lounging in a neighborhood cafe, exploring the galeries, boutiques and cafes of the tenth arrondissement.
Willing to reduce rates for late bookings if flat shows availability.
Flat sleeps two comfortably, two sofas in salon can be used for children. A supplement may be required for more than two occupants.
As a fifth floor walk up with an internal spiral staircase, not ideal for anyone with limited mobility (help with luggage on arrival and departure can usually be arranged). Maid service for longer stays can also be schedules at extra cost.
Centrally located in 75010 (Porte Saint Martin), 15/20 min walk to Le Marais, Canal St-Martin, Pompidou Centre, Opera, Louvre, Seine, direct metro (4 lines) or bus lines to virtually all major museums and monuments. 'Velib' bike rental station 1 block away.

What makes this Apartment unique
Situated on top floors on the inside courtyard (away from street), flat is extraordinarily quiet and sunny. Paris is a big city and noise can be an issue. Neighbourhood is very centrally located with easy access to multiple transit lines so most any point in Paris is no more than 20 minutes away. The tenth arrondissement has become the new 'cool quarter' in Paris and there are dozens of bars, cafes, restaurants and boutiques in the area while it retains its authentic, parisian charm. This is a place to stay for people who want to know Paris beyond the monuments and museums.

charming sunny refuge
This is a beautiful apartment and a terrific base to enjoy Paris. The space is airy, well lit, and relatively quiet for being in the midst of the city. Main floor living room is a nice place to chat, there's a functional kitchen and a comfortable dining area as well. The loft bedroom is the gem of the place, with a wide bank of windows overlooking the rooftops. Morning sunlight pours in, and sunset is beautiful on the spire of the town hall.
One note of caution: the spiral stairs to the loft need to be navigated carefully (especially with a suitcase!), and the loft itself has no railings at its edge. The bathroom is upstairs as well, so this is unavoidable. It was fine for a healthy adult, but I would not recommend this flat to families with small or rambunctious kids or to folks who have trouble with stairs.
The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. I have only good things to say about my interactions. Definitely read his notes on the apartment and neighborhood when you arrive for tips. My favorite: access a patisserie from within the building courtyard to get your morning croissants.
Highly recommended! I'd rent again with pleasure.

Great Property, Convenient Location
The property was spacious, comfortable, and convenient for my Wife and I on our honeymoon. Located a 30-minute walk from the Île de la Cité, we were able to walk to the major attractions in Paris yet be out of the tourist traffic every night. There are two metro locations close by that allow easy transport to Île de la Cité if you prefer not to walk. Metro line also is centrally located so you can get to anywhere with only 1 line transfer (Versailles, CDG airport, Lourve, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower).
The Flat has a full kitchen, washer & Drier, double bed, and large windows overlooking the block. There are only stairs to the 5th-floor entry, so make sure you're in shape to bring your luggage up!
Place was clean but old. The stairs going to the loft were precarious!
The apartment is in a very busy area, noisy day and night. However, the suite faced an inner courtyard which helped. We liked the spaciousness of the apartment and it was convenient to the Metro.

We enjoyed our stay in this large apartment in a colorful neighborhood.
Close to the 10th, with lovely shops and the best bakery in Paris. Not in a touristy area. Great apartment for the price!

Wonderful Home Away From Home Apartment
We rented this lovely flat for a week visit to Paris. Family of 3, two adults and a young child stayed very comfortably here and loved the neighborhood and pastry ship right in courtyard! We walked everywhere in Paris from this locale, quite convenient.
We especially enjoyed having two level living space. Had quiet relaxing time downstairs reading, dining, snacking and playing games then resort to 2nd floor loft to sleep :). Architecturally the apartment is quaint and has eclectic feel to it which we adore. Everything functioned well in the apartment and the rental host Will could not have been more helpful and accessible. Any questions related to rental or sightseeing or getting around Paris, Will can assist! We will most definitely rent this unit again when we come back to Paris, hopefullly in the very near future!
