About Amy Romanoff
We are a mother/daughter duo taking over a popular VRBO. We moved to Western Washington in April 2016 from Northern California and are loving this area. Danie (daughter) lives in Bellingham with her cat Jaguar and Amy (mother) lives with her husband Kent aboard their steel trawler in Blaine. In the short time we've lived here, we've discovered so many great places to eat and explore by foot and boat, yet we still have lots more to experience. This area is especially appealing to us because it's easy to enjoy the outdoors and it's very affordable. Our love for the area inspired us to start this business.

Why Amy Romanoff chose Happy Valley
The minute we saw this lovely VRBO property we knew we wanted to manage it. The charming, well decorated apartments caught our eye. We also saw several opportunities to grow and add our own flavor, without disrupting the tasteful ambiance. This property feels very manageable because the apartments are in excellent condition and they are already uniquely decorated and nicely furnished. We feel lucky and honored to keep this tradition going.
What makes this Apartment unique
What drew us to this property at first was its location -- being so close to our favorite parts of Bellingham. We especially love the peaceful setting, nestled in a quiet and safe neighborhood with private sitting areas hidden around the property. Unlike a hotel where every room is identical, here each apartment has it's own unique personality and character.

Really great place
Wow, what an unexpected surprise. Comfortable and nicely decorated place. Close to great restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended.
Cozy & charming - I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Everything was lovely, from the ease of check-in to having everything I could need for a one-month getaway! Close to the freeway & yet, close to all the historic charm of Fairhaven. Amy was always accommodating. At first, I questioned whether or not I would go to the back of the building to do laundry.........but came to love it! Brought some of my own things to make me feel more @ home........but the place itself was a nice "nest" & very much a place to make my temporary home. Thank you Amy!
Clean, efficient, exactly as described.
The home was exactly as described. Clean, adequate space for an individual or couple. I had no issues and will rent here again.
Beautiful Simple Abundance
I am currently spending my second summer in a neighboring unit and invited my cousin to come for a visit so she stayed in this unit. She said, "it is so beautiful, I just love it here". This unit is very clean, decorated with a feminine flair with antique pictures and soft floral designs. This lovely haven for rest is in a perfect location for sight seeing in this area....near downtown Fairhaven and close to I-5 to explore the area. Fairhaven/Bellingham is a hidden jewel in the Pacific Northwest. I encourage you to check with the local Chamber of Commerce for all the opportunities for hiking, local, city, state, and national parks, island adventures, AmTrak travel, and Salish Sea cruises! Did I say whale watch? Oh my! Our group went out on a local cruise the 4th of July and saw 26 orcas!! Better make a reservation soon because the word is getting out....there is a little bit of heaven down in Fairhaven!
Small and convinient place for couple
The location is 5 minutes away from the chuckanut main road where you can find some shop and gas station. However its 10 menit drive to Fairheaven area so you need a car to stay in this place. I cant find laundry area so we cant do our laundry. Its conventional place but cozy. The check in is very easy and the parking area is available.
