Quiet North Padre Island waterfront condo, close to the beach and Schlitterbahn

Condo, 1 Bedrooms + Convertible Bed (s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)

This property is located in the heart of North Padre Island adjacent to the beautiful and challenging Island Golf Course. If there is a golfer in your group, be prepared to sidestep the abundance of wildlife from hares to Herons. The North Padre Island Country Club is actually at you back door.

There are no pets allowed here or at the "sister" property to this condo (see VRBO / Homeaway # 696517) which is just as nice...only 10 doors down. There is a boat slip shared between the two units.

This condo has recently been completely renovated to give you an 'island experience'.

New appliances include full size Maytag stackable washer and dryer, microwave and dishwasher for you convenience ensuring a wonderful vacation time. A new 18 cubic foot refrigerator and new GE stove round out the kitchen appliances. There are also new cabinets and granite counter tops in the kitchen.

This (1) bedroom / 1 full Bath (re-modeled) spacious condo also has a pull-out sofa bed (new) to allow for comfortable sleeping for up to (4) adults.

The Master bedroom (re-modeled) has a full King size bed with new Simmons mattresses.

This North Padre Island condo has a new 42'W flat screen TV, new ceiling fans and a great view patio.

When the weather is warm enough, there is a wonderful complex tropical pool and hot tub for everyone to enjoy. All children under (14) need to be accompanied by adults per the complex management. There is general parking available. The carport next to the entrance belongs to the upper floor units - they needed to have something to make up for not being on the first floor :)

While your visiting, there are many activities to take advantage of. Guided fishing tours in the pristine Laguna Bay system and for those with a real adventure hunger, you can travel back into Baffin Bay. This is probably the most natural and isolated bay anywhere along the southern Gulf Coast!

The (15) miles of white sand beaches that separate North Padre Island from Port Aransas offer many areas for family's and tourists to walk along and search for many unusual shells to the more common and plentiful sand dollars.

Miles and miles of clean beach awaits you and your group!

For a change of pace, a quick trip to Port Aransas offers many shops and restaurants for those looking for coastal souvenirs and gourmet food. You can even rent your own golf cart and scoot around the beach or shops!

Back on North Padre Island you'll have your own local restaurants with sports bars, bistros and sushi.

Horseback riding is available on the beach with horses for beginners to those with more skill and experience. It has a beautiful canal view and is walking distance to golf clubhouse for a round on the links and a stones throw to the beach! Beautifully furnished and easy access to all activities on the Island from restaurants to horseback riding on the beach! This wonderful condo is very quiet and only three blocks from the beach.

The seashore road to Port Aransas (15 minute drive) is a block away and Corpus's wonderful malls back OTB (over-the-bridge) also 15 minutes away!

North Padre Island offers probably the nicest and cleanest beaches on the Texas Coast. Pristine and secluded Big Shell is just minutes down the coast for some of the best surf fishing anywhere!

This truly is an area along the coast that time seems to have forgotten....... but not for long.

Schlitterbahn is coming and in a big way. To be precise, this condo will be centrally located between the golf course and the future Schlitterbahn park.

So, bring your margarita making skills and kick back after a long, fun filled day. Kick your feet up, watch the sunset between the palm trees and relax.

After the sun has rested, look upward...........the south Texas stars are a thing to behold.

If we say so ourselves, Jimmy Buffet would be asking for more gumbo or another cheeseburger......at this North Padre Island Paradise.

Footnote: we truly hope you can leave work behind but alas yes...we do have Wifi

I Grew up in Michigan but moved to Houston Texas. I split my time working there and coming to North Padre Island living a great life. I'll retire someday on North Padre Island, watching my son grow up, toasting to every sunny day and fishing with friends.

Why Owner chose Gulf Coast

I bought this particular property and have decided to rent it out because of the ideal location and being on the first floor. Great for fishermen and vacationers.

What makes this condo unique

It is in a prime location to get to anywhere on North Padre Island quickly or for the fisherman that want quick access by boat to Laguna Madre or the Gulf.

A Parent’s Getaway

Me and my husband went for a weekend getaway it was perfect my husband fish and I was able to lounge around and get some much needed relaxation. The neighbors are very nice and friendly. It was so quiet and the condo was so beautiful the AC work great and the condo was very clean and upscale. The only thing I would like to see change is that in the shower area have a little more light or even painted a brighter color it was a little too dark for me. But the condo was very equipped with all are necessary needs. I loved it and look forward to making this condo a customary stay. Maybe next time the kids will get to come it’s great for a privet getaway and also for the family. And just in case you wanted to know my husband caught and released over 20 fish that weekend he had a great time.

Had an awesome time. Very clean, felt like home. Close to everything. literately everything you Google is 1/2 a mile away. lol.. We will be staying here again.

Overall, perfect for a two person get away!

The only issue we had with our stay was when we arrived it had not been cleaned, but I called Bill and within an hour and a half it was clean and they left a bottle of wine as a gift! He was very apologetic and fast to fix the problem! The rental is super cute and perfect for two. If you have kids, it probably won't work for you, very nice place for the money. A few more amenities might be nice, only hotel size shampoo/conditioner available, little things like that...but overall, wonderful. Plus, the owner, Bill is top notch, very responsive!!

I am also grateful that you were going out to eat when you arrived to allow the cleaning crew time to make amends before you got back. Beautiful place to relax!

Overall everything was great, I would give a five star if the bed were a little it steady, every time I turned my wife was not happy. But everything else was great!! Distance to restaurants, to the beat or just sit outside and relax!!

I don't remember which was which in my (2) units but there are top end Simmons and Serta mattress in them and I don't know what you mean by your wife not being happy when you turned. I have never heard this from anyone but would love to discuss it and find out more. Anyway, thanks again...........glad you enjoyed yourselves...

Was just perfect for a get away for 1. Weather was beautiful, water very calming and no one was around. Bill was very accomodating. Darling condo and i will return (but will bring my own toilet paper). LOL

I should have told the maids that you were staying for a whole week and extra rolls should have been left for you. Most folks are weekender's and that is what they prepare for. Lesson learned.

Not good. This was a big disappointment . Appliances not operable.

When one books a property for a certain length of time to be your home away from home, you expect the amenities to be of working order, i.e. washer, dryer, garbage disposal, etc. This was not the case and to add to my frustration, cleanliness was not up to my standard. I have a picture of the trash can used in the kitchen area, which would be condemned by anyone's standards.I don't need to describe it. Was just covered up by placing a plastic garbage bag on top of it whereby the filth did not show until one went to empty the garbage. There was only one bathroom wash cloth in the whole place. I feel the owner tried hard after all of these items were brought to his attention, but he certainly is not on top of checking the property prior to one moving in.He needs a whole new maid crew and a lot of repair work to bring this place up to anyone's standard I feel. There is a whole lot of difference between cleanliness and picky, as I was accused of being. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Owner's Response: I will admit that when things happen, things really happen. When the tenant first arrived, she called about the TV and wifi not working. I went over to the unit immediately with a home theater person working on MY house within 10 minutes and yes.........it was not. The folks prior to her had unhooked the cable to play games. Problem solved. She then called about the heater not working....a few minutes later she called back saying it was and she was wrong....problem solved again. At this point I knew I had what all owners cringe over....a very high maintenance client. Now, she can't be faulted too much because things come in three's they say. The TV issue firs then the garbage disposal dies and then a fairly new appliance from LG (a combination. washer/dryer) motherboard burns out. I have now replaced both including an extremely highly rated stacked MayTag front loading units. Much better than most folks would ever find in a rental unit. So, Bottom line is I am sorry for this ladies bad luck at my rental since I have for three years prided myself in offering the best product (please see all prior reviews). The maids missed the bottom of a trash can and this has been pointed out. It will never happen again. My tenant was sick with the flu during this week period and I believe she was a bit "edgy" but to some degree rightfully so. The TV cable is hooked back up Brand new garbage disposal Full size front loading washer and dryers Everything is back to where I would want and expect it to be at the condo. It is back to where my tenants would want it to be. It has new appliances that are top notch and new. It is back to being one of the nicest units on the Island. Period!

An awful lot of folks that come to visit the Island are avid golfers and bring their 'sticks' with them. The North Padre Island Golf Country Club is not in the condo's direct view. From the front door though it is no more than a mere 275 yard drive away!
