A mix of traditional and contemporary in this beautifully presented cottage

  • 5 of 5

We were very impressed with No 1 The Malthouse which was our 'home' for 3 nights over the Easter holidays. Spotlessly clean with high quality furnishings and fittings including super- comfortable beds. Ideal location just outside Bath, with frequent bus service into the city. Would recommend this property without hesitation.

Lovely house

  • 5 of 5

Just stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful Malthouse. Had everything you need and a great atmosphere, felt like home. Location is great, after a trip to Morrisons on Friday we parked the car and didn't use it again. We had a lovely walk into Bradford on Avon, 8 miles along the canal and a taxi back. We used the river boat from Bathampton mill into Bath. Would highly recommend the Malthouse and hope to go back.

Perfect Perfect Perfect

  • 5 of 5

This house is exactly as it appears.. charming and modern but authentically English.. all the way down to the warped wood rafter in the ceiling! it sits RIGHT on the bus line which was perfect. We parked our car and used the bus system for a short trip into Bath each day. We worked out at the Leisure Center on a short term pass (good classes), did the usual things (the Bath Abbey tower tour of the bells and clock with views of the city is an ABSOLUTE must!). We obtained tickets to the Royal Theater and saw a play and caught a rugby game.. our new team... GO YOU BATH! There is also very easy access to tons of hiking trails and a little foot bridge over a river right near by. Wonderful holiday. Bath is an amazing city.. and the Malt House sits just perfectly away from the hustle and bustle but is right there as well. Thank you! The Brit and his American wife :).

We had really good time, the cottage was very comfortable, and the village was on a good bus route to the city. And it was on the main route to other places we visited.all in all. Really good stay.

The location of the Malthouse makes it a great base to explore all the surrounding areas. The roman city of Bath has been designated as a World Heritage Site, with many fascinating historical sites to be seen, some dating back as far as the first century. The world famous roman baths are not one to be missed. As Well as its history Bath has an abundance of designer shops and boutiques, with a wide and varied choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs.
