This is a direct oceanfront corner unit with one of the largest lanais in Kona. The unit was recently remodeled with a new kitchen, bathrooms, living & dining areas, as well as the bedrooms. Air Conditioning and new flooring has been installed August of 2017 with AC units in both bedrooms and the main living area. It has windows on three sides lending to a bright airy feel and boasts beautiful sunset & ocean views. It is steps from the most famous surf spot on the Big lsland - Banyans. You can spot dolphins, turtles, and whales from the lanai.

There is free wireless internet, 1 assigned parking spot (which is conveniently located close to the elevator and at no extra charge), basic cable, and a phone allowing free local & long distance calls to North America (including Canada). Everything from major grocery stores to farmers markets are all within a 15 minute drive from the complex. We're about 2 miles from the restaurants, shopping, and excitement of the historic town of Kailua-Kona. It's about a 20-25 minute drive to/from Kona International Airport (KOA) and about 15 minutes from Honokohau Small Boat harbor where most fishing charters, and many dive charters, etc. are based.

Very nice new remodel - the kitchen and living room have had major updates and allow for better, unobstructed views of the ocean. Even without the remodel, the view is unparalleled. As soon as you walk in the door, you hear the soothing sound of the ocean. The views from the living room, lanai, and kitchen are awesome. There's nothing like unwinding on the lanai - watching the sealife, surfers & sunset. We love falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean.

Sleeps 6 comfortably. All linens provided. There is 1 assigned parking spot that is close to the elevator that services the building. There are beach & bath towels, some beach toys including chairs, cooler small boogie boards, and some masks & snorkels, etc. The kitchen is outfitted with blender, magic bullet, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, full oven, dishwasher. There is a flat screen TV and ipod dock in the living room. Each bedroom also has an alarm clock/ipod dock. There is an outdoor pool, hot tub, and grill on the ground level overlooking the ocean. Free wireless internet.

We loved this place! We spent our Thanksgiving holiday here and it was perfect. Everything felt new, well-maintained, and clean. Great location, close to downtown and very close (about one block) to Da Poke Shack which was the best we had on the island. The condo had everything you need, including beach supplies. Can’t wait to come back and have another sunset dinner on the lanai!

Great lanai in front of surf point

We had another great vacation at Banyan Tree in Kona. Location is perfect to watch surfers and dolphins. Only a few minutes away from a great snokeling beach. Lanai is big enough to have nice breakfast and lunch. Ocean front Pool / BBQ area was always kept clean. Kyle is very easy to work with. He made some upgrades such as AC units for each bedroom and living room. We only used for a short time period when room gets a little warm or humid in the afternoon, but it was definitely nice to have it. We would like to go back again if we have a chance,

The private lanai is terrific: being a corner unit there is a wide view and nice breezes

The unit is quiet and located away from the frenetic tourist center of Kona

Perfect oceanfront location!

We loved the condo and it's easy access to everything the Big Island has to offer. Comfortable beds and furnishings, a gorgeous lanai, a well equipped kitchen (a tea kettle would be a good addition) and great entertainment watching the surfers every day right out in front. Kyle was attentive and quick to respond to any questions. We (my two senior sisters and our 86 year old Mom) felt very safe and comfortable here and in the neighborhood. Covered parking kept our vehicle nice and cool. Very traffic noise and none from other tenants either. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and bbq area as well and always plenty of space available on the loungers or dining tables. Easily the best spot in Kona! Definitely need a vehicle to fully experience this island...we took a day trip south to tour coffee farms, the volcano and cultural sites, then another day north to see the ritzy resort area as well as Hawi and the ranch lands around Waimea. You can however hand over 2 bucks to get on the trolley that stops nearby and will take you up and down Alii Drive for the restaurants and shopping....a nice way to see the downtown area without having to search for parking.

Ironman Stay/Surfing Stay

When I started looking for a place to stay there were too many choices. Am here for the IRONMAN but love surfing and I have three kids so I wanted a very convenient place. Well chance had it that I fell upon the BEST of places. The view is like none other, as we eat breakfast, lunch or dinner the surfers entertain us, as do some turtles and the most beautiful sunset in the world. My family has a perfect spot to see the run out and back for the IRONMAN. As for surfing, well, it goes unsaid, the waves in front are always the best on the island. When I say in front, you can't imagine, take the elevator down with your board and jump in. No street crossing, you are waterfront!!!! As we fall asleep at night, it is with the sound of the waves. The condo? Wonderful, clean, spacious... Nothing to add that could make our stay more splendid. Activities are all close by. Wouldn't want to stay closer to the "downtown" area, this is just perfect. Tried the beach five minutes away, WOW!!!!!!! FYI, I am a very difficult client to please. For those wondering about safety, although seems to not be an issue on the island, this place is very very safe, even the parking lot feels safe! Almost forgot the pool & spa. We were here four days so far (yes am still here as I write this) and tried it only yesterday, wow! The cherry on top!

Breathtaking view!

We loved this location! The views are about as good as it gets, and the condo is convenient to one of the nicest beaches in town. Kyle and the cleaning staff were helpful and accommodating, even allowed us to extend our time so we could enjoy a few more hours of sun!

The Banyan Tree Condominium is a 20 unit direct ocean front complex located on Ali'i Drive at mile marker 2.8 in Kailua-Kona. Mile markers are frequently used to give directions along Ali'i drive with mile marker zero at the Kailua Pier in the center of town and mile marker five at the Sheraton Keauhou Resort to the south. We are less than two miles from historic Kailua-Kona town and approximately 20-25 minutes from the Kona airport. The relatively small size of this complex lends to a private and homey feel. There are fours floors serviced by both stairs and an elevator with the ground floor being parking and the 20 condos and communal lanai spread out over the remaining three. The phone allows free local and long distance calls to North America (including Canada). The outdoor pool, hot-tub, and barbeque area are right on the ocean. Weekly farmers markets and many grocery stores/markets near by make it convenient to find what you need. Out front is arguably the most well-known surf spot on the Big Island - Banyans.
