This is a direct oceanfront corner unit with one of the largest lanais in Kona. The unit was recently remodeled with a new kitchen, bathrooms, living & dining areas, as well as the bedrooms. It has windows on three sides lending to a bright airy feel and boasts beautiful sunset & ocean views. It is steps from the most famous surf spot on the Big lsland - Banyans. You can spot dolphins, turtles, and whales from the lanai.

There is free wireless internet, 1 assigned parking spot (which is conveniently located close to the elevator and at no extra charge), basic cable, and a phone allowing free local & long distance calls to North America (including Canada). Everything from major grocery stores to farmers markets are all within a 15 minute drive from the complex. We're about 2 miles from the restaurants, shopping, and excitement of the historic town of Kailua-Kona. It's about a 20-25 minute drive to/from Kona International Airport (KOA) and about 15 minutes from Honokohau Small Boat harbor where most fishing charters, and many dive charters, etc. are based.

Very nice new remodel - the kitchen and living room have had major updates and allow for better, unobstructed views of the ocean. Even without the remodel, the view is unparalleled. As soon as you walk in the door, you hear the soothing sound of the ocean. The views from the living room, lanai, and kitchen are awesome. There's nothing like unwinding on the lanai - watching the sealife, surfers & sunset. We love falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean.

Sleeps 6 comfortably. All linens provided. There is 1 assigned parking spot that is close to the elevator that services the building. There are beach & bath towels, some beach toys including chairs, cooler small boogie boards, and some masks & snorkels, etc. The kitchen is outfitted with blender, magic bullet, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, full oven, dishwasher. There is a flat screen TV and ipod dock in the living room. Each bedroom also has an alarm clock/ipod dock. There is an outdoor pool, hot tub, and grill on the ground level overlooking the ocean. Free wireless internet.

Great location!

Kevin was abpleasure to work with, easy booking and check in process. Quick responses via email. The condo was in a perfect location for beaches, snorkeling, Kona town, and easy to get to restaurants and stores. Free parking and the closest spot to the elevator! The condo, itself, had everything you needed to cook and really feel like home. The only critique we had was there was no air conditioning. Most Hawaiians get used to the weather I'm sure, but we came from MI winter and it was hot during the day. The nights did cool off, we just made sure to adventure every day until sunset. The owner did say, however, he will be installing a unit soon. And most people probably wouldn't mind sunshiney 80's. The pool was beautiful and the views were great! Watched the surfers whenever the waves get big, always fun. The stars were amazing as well! <3

Fantastic ocean front condo in Kona

This place was really great in big and small ways.

The big ways: lots of room, a fantastic lanai and view, comfortable beds, very clean and nice, great location, covered parking, very secure.

The small ways: this place is really, really well equipped - from spices, kitchen utensils to misc nice to haves (coffee filters, etc). Also, it was so nice having equipment available in the condo - snorkeling gear, beach chairs & towels, boogie boards, coolers....the list goes on. It was the little things that really made this place great.

We were there with 4 adults and it never felt small. It was very comfortable and enjoyable.

The one little nit-pick thing was - just put in a new garbage disposal. They are not that expensive.

Fantastic Condo!

My husband & I, my 7 year old and my 65 year old mom had a fantastic stay at Kyle's condo. It had everything we needed and more. Loved falling asleep & waking up to the sound of the ocean. Beds were very comfortable, lots of extra beach towels, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs & coolers! We had every meal out on our private lanai because it was the best view in town! My husband even got to surf right out front. Kyle was so helpful, fast to respond & answered all our questions. My daughter loved the pool & hot tub. We look forward to our next stay at this condo.

Awesome Ocean Front Experience

Our family of five loved watching the surfers from the outdoor lanai. We took advantage of Magic Sand Beach, one of the best beaches on Kona, which is less than a mile away. This is the quiet end of the Kona beach front and is still close enough to all of the action in the main tourist area. The unit was very clean and well maintained. We also used the snorkeling and beach equipment that was provided. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would also use if we are fortunate enough to be in Kona again.

Great central location. The little market across the street was a big plus and very friendly. If you surf, you can't get any better. The best surf spot on the island is just steps from the condo. The unit was equipped with plenty of snorkel and beach supplies. The lanai is situated for perfect sunset viewing every night. I almost forgot the pool and jacuzzi were equally refreshing. For those looking for some real down time, there is a small library of assorted tastes. To Kyle I say mahalo bra. Da condo was da kine, Ono!

Absolutely beautiful!

This condo goes above and beyond all my expectations. It was very beautiful from the inside out. We've stayed in Kona many times and this condo was by far our favorite. The view was gorgeous and the inside of the condo was beautifully furnished. I have never stayed at a condo that had as many amenities as this one did. There were 4 boogie boards, 2 beach chairs and pretty much any other item that we would need for the beach or for our stay on the island. The kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms were also very well equipped. I would definitely recommend staying at Banyan Breakers condo!

The Banyan Tree Condominium is a 20 unit direct ocean front complex located on Ali'i Drive at mile marker 2.8 in Kailua-Kona. Mile markers are frequently used to give directions along Ali'i drive with mile marker zero at the Kailua Pier in the center of town and mile marker five at the Sheraton Keauhou Resort to the south. We are less than two miles from historic Kailua-Kona town and approximately 20-25 minutes from the Kona airport. The relatively small size of this complex lends to a private and homey feel. There are fours floors serviced by both stairs and an elevator with the ground floor being parking and the 20 condos and communal lanai spread out over the remaining three. The phone allows free local and long distance calls to North America (including Canada). The outdoor pool, hot-tub, and barbeque area are right on the ocean. Weekly farmers markets and many grocery stores/markets near by make it convenient to find what you need. Out front is arguably the most well-known surf spot on the Big Island - Banyans.
